I compared this video and others with the same task and I must say you did good by positioning the camera in the right spot. Good job!

I seen a lot of people pull the heater core pipe off but I liked how you just loosened it so u could move it just a lil without pulling it off

Great video, did you use sealer, gasket or both on the water control valve housing?

I almost gave up when you whispered "oh shit"!

Good video but it would've been helpful to add the torque specs for each bolt or nut.

Taking off the manifold heat shield makes removing the engine block thermostat easy. I needed a breaker bar to loosen several bolts - talk about star torqued (tightening till you see stars). The grey heater core pipe took some patience getting pulled off also.

on my non OEM thermostat I did not notice any arrow to show if there was an "up" side to it. Maybe I missed it? Do non-OEM parts not have the arrow?

Where did you find these oem parts from? I’m looking for them everywhere but can’t find them.

  • @BigSleepyFloyd

Is this the same for 2000 Nissan Altima

For both thermostats they have to have the spring portions facing into the engine block and head,or else you will not get the proper heat.
