Thanks man cause I put on a new water valve with out putting a new water gasket thing and also I didn't no about the other water valve thing thanks now I'ma take everything back off
Taking off the manifold heat shield makes removing the engine block thermostat easy. I needed a breaker bar to loosen several bolts - talk about star torqued (tightening till you see stars). The grey heater core pipe took some patience getting pulled off also.
I compared this video and others with the same task and I must say you did good by positioning the camera in the right spot. Good job!
Great Video. I'm an experienced DIY car mechanic and appriciate a straight forward, clean how-to video. Thanks for the great posting video!
Thanks so much for past 2 years I keep changing the one on side engine I didnt know it was a 2nd.
I seen a lot of people pull the heater core pipe off but I liked how you just loosened it so u could move it just a lil without pulling it off
Going to do hoses and the mishimoto install, and needed a refresher, you sir are awesome!
Just watched your Vedio twice and it worked out pretty good on my Nissan Altima 04. Thanks for the tip.
great job mate you saved me alot of money mechanic charges 250 dollars for same thing .cheers ..
Great demonstration of how to do this, thanks!
Thans a lot for your great video, is a good thermostat replacement
Nice clean work good video
Great video, did you use sealer, gasket or both on the water control valve housing?
Thanks appreciate it

I almost gave up when you whispered "oh shit"!
Good video but it would've been helpful to add the torque specs for each bolt or nut.

on my non OEM thermostat I did not notice any arrow to show if there was an "up" side to it. Maybe I missed it? Do non-OEM parts not have the arrow?
Where did you find these oem parts from? I’m looking for them everywhere but can’t find them.
Is this the same for 2000 Nissan Altima
For both thermostats they have to have the spring portions facing into the engine block and head,or else you will not get the proper heat.
