I miss Wow! I'm planning to return for Shadowlands, and Classiv TBC! I'm excited for TBC especially! I also have a lot of "cool" things locked away in my banks. God only knows how many cool BOE things were sitting in my mailbox, and are now gone forever, since I quit playing! I did buy an Onyxia Scale Cloak that I never needed for its intended use. But it's cool for transmog!
So nostalgic - love it. Shame so many of these items/quests are out of the game. In thinking about it, it was way more fun/enjoyable to have to earn things and not in a silly, do this daily over and over type of way. Enjoy your day :)
I remember my ex-wife doing that priest quest for the staff, and I always thought they should have more weapons/items like that which you quest hard for and it serves multi-purpose. WoW was so much more fun and interesting in Classic, cannot wait for the classic servers to actually release.
I would highly recommend getting a UBRS key if you're going to play a rogue in Classic. The Dal'rend set, shadowcraft tunic and the quest trinket are vital for your starter set. If I didn't do it, I probably would have not got Grand Marshal.
7:30 my best guess is that they were trying to offer an offhand weapon that still offered a bit of defense if you chose it over a shield. I'm not sure tanking was what they made it specifically for. At least that's what I assume, since there wasn't a 100% focalized gearing system back then like there is now.
My hunter actually still has the Mature Blue Dragon Sinew, because I got it before the item and quests were removed, but never finished the questline. It sits in my bank as somewhat of a trophy I guess lol
i did the benediction questline on a 10k pop server. Took me about 3 weeks to complete it because of griefing and all that shit xD but damn... it felt so good when i finally completed the quest. One of the best gaming memories the past 10 years...

If you got the glove enchant and spurs along with the carrot, you could increase your speed from 160 to 176 and 200 to 218. 9% is quite the boost if it is addictive, I cannot remember, but they do stack huge speed boost that was removed so casual players could have a level playing field. Sad.
I thought one of my guildies back in classic said the Eye of Shadow let them see a few special NPCs, but maybe they were just messing with the rest of us in guild/raid chat. And I'm not talking about the trinket that let you see everybody in Caer Darrow.
I remember in BC seeing a Faded Photograph on the AH for 1000g and thinking it was some super special item, and even though 1000g was a lot of gold back then....what a deal! So I spent all my gold on it. Bought it, realized it didn't do anything, looked it up on Wowhead and found out it didn't do anything. So I stuck it back on the AH for 2000g and it somehow sold within 5 minutes. I assume to some other nub who overvalued it's rarity/specialness.

About the trinket i dont know about alliance but the quest is apart of horde onyxia attune so most people will have to do it if they want to raid.

If you kept your essence of eranikus, when cataclysm came about, you could have TWO! Both gave haste, but the old version gave 1 more.
