Thank you for this great video. Santa Ana is my hometown. Thank you for almost letting me know the theater for the first time. In almost 50 years I have lived here, I guess I have been there just once or maybe twice, but I didn't get to know it in such detail as you showed it. There is another hostal that gets good reviews just in case you come back, it is called Casa Verde. You can search for it on trip advisor. Sihuatehuacan is a nice place too. I hope on your way back to San Salvador you decided to go to lake Coatepeque or Cerro Verde National park. Kind regards and thank you for sharing it.

I really liked the fact that you went to the beautiful churches and Cathedral. Just to add to it, if you connect the points from each church and Cathedral you will end up with a bigger cross which makes it very interesting. Church El Carmen is one point, Cathedral is the center of the cross, Church San Lorenzo is the other point, and the long part of the cross is from Catedral to church El Calvario. It's interesting how these spiritual places were built so strategically. You have another subscriber to your channel. Best luck to you both.

Thank you so much Antonio - that is so kind - we had a family emergency and had to fly back to the UK and when we got back we had such a short time that we asked the guys from EC Tours to advise us and they gave us a whole list of things to see and do and helped us - they wanted us to show off the best of El Salvador - we could have done with another 6 weeks, as there is so much beauty to share !! but time ran out .... but we still have some more videos to come - and one day we will be back 😍🌴🌺🙌 But in the meantime, thank you for your offer and if you keep an eye on our adventures you might see us back again in the next couple of years - in the meantime in January we have decided to drive a van around the world and show people how kind the world can be too!! Hi Carlos 😍🤗🌸 We are home in the UK now, we filmed this last month !! but to be honest we had such a good time and loved all of our time in El Salvador 😍🙌💜 Chris is making the videos of our time there at the moment .... It takes about 8 hours per video so is already making the next one !! Love the way you show off the beauty of El Salvador! I was there last year after 40 years of living in the U.S. to visit relatives. The cathedral is so beautiful and still in need of repair. My aunt used to worked at the Sihua and I didn't get a chance to go, glad you stopped by. Happy travels!

Hi Carlos 😍🤗🌸 We are home in the UK now, we filmed this last month !! but to be honest we had such a good time and loved all of our time in El Salvador 😍🙌💜 Chris is making the videos of our time there at the moment .... It takes about 8 hours per video so is already making the next one !! Love the way you show off the beauty of El Salvador! I was there last year after 40 years of living in the U.S. to visit relatives. The cathedral is so beautiful and still in need of repair. My aunt used to worked at the Sihua and I didn't get a chance to go, glad you stopped by. Happy travels!

El Teatro de Santa Ana pertenece al género teatral llamado proscenio (cuyo elemento distintivo es contener un arco que delimita el escenario y la audiencia.2
En su época de gloria (1910 - 1933), la bóveda del edificio estaba pintada con retratos de Rossini, Gounod, Wagner, Bellini, Verdi y Beethoven. Asimismo, a los lados del escenario había áreas destinadas para actos y fiestas.2
El teatro cuenta con varias áreas, las cuales son el vestíbulo, el Salón Foyer, la Gran Sala, el Escenario, los Palcos y la Terraza Española. También posee detalles arquitectónicos labrados con madera de árboles de caoba, adornos hechos de yeso y pinturas de artistas italianos.6
El telón del escenario es del tipo boca excepcional y de estilo Art Noveau, hecho por el artista italiano Antonio Rovescalli. Frente al escenario, junto a la audiencia, hay un espacio en desnivel en donde pueden colocarse orquestas. Asimismo cuenta con tramoyas e iluminación.2

En el año 1889 se creó la Junta de Fomento de Santa Ana cuya función era velar por el engrandecimiento y ornato de la ciudad. Precisamente fue esta entidad la que inició el proyecto de creación del Teatro de Santa Ana.2

Are there parts of El Salvador that are considered safe for travel?
Hi Sarah - we did not have any issues with safety and we travelled in Central America for 5 months staying in hostels and using public transport - there are also tour groups if you have a limited time (as we did) or if you feel unsafe travelling - but with usual safety precautions (that I would take in any city in any country) we had no problems at all 💞🌸🙌🤗😍 Happy Travels and feel free to DM me on FB (via TREAD the Globe) if you have any specific concerns or locations and I will do my best to help - kind regards Marianne xx
