Extremely unpopular opinion about Real Madrid as a fan (since i am not on twitter, and I say what I think instead of what the common perception is. I think differently to most people) :
1) Our midfiled still needs a High percentage key passer to open defenses (modric role). Jude is not that. He is an elite dribbler but I dont see him opening games with his vision
2) Our team needs a volume passer (aka Kroos role) after kroos. Maybe I am blinded by KCM, but 1 volume passer/maestro and 1 talisman/creative genius is the ideal balance. We dont have either of these. All our new mids are physical, strong athletes. Deftness is lacking. Perez planted his flag at the mast way to early with fede, jude, cama and tchoa. Now we cnat even bring these new profiles like wirtz or maybe someone we dont even know of till now (modric joined us at 27).
3) whats the dynamic with Arda, rodrygo, endrick, vini and mabppe???I hope real madrid dont see arda and rodrygo like bench players. They are way too talented. probably the 2 most naturally talented young players in our squad (arguably). Also, can cama be a long term leftback?? he needs to be starting games regularly. He is a very unique gifted talent
Fede Valverde should embrace being a Right Back as Carvajal Replacement.
Why does anyone have to be sacrificed though?
Say Mbappe joins us, we have 7 players for 6 slots (outside of defence and GK). The 7 being: Mbappe, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Valverde, Camavinga and Tchouameni.
We can assume Vini, Mbappe and Bellingham are nailed, so essentially the debate is between 4 players for 3 slots.
I don't think that's such a big problem. We can rotate Rodrygo, Valverde, Camavinga and Tchouameni for the remaining 3 slots depending on the tactical requirements of the game.
Against low blocks Rodrygo could be useful. Sometimes, a double pivot maybe useful so both Cama and Tchoua play.
All this to say it gives us options to have 7 world class players for 6 slots (+ Brahim potentially, who I absolutely love)
And this is all assuming everyone stays fit for the entire season, which is an absolute rarity in modern football. In all likelihood, no one will complain about being benched because at least one might be injured at any given point

Completely agreed. Just to clarify though...
I didn't mention Kroos because I was speaking long-term. It's like Kiyan said in the video, this is a problem we'll face 2 yrs later when Rodrygo and Cama won't be satisfied with inconsistent starts. With Brahim, I agree, he deserves more minutes for sure. With the other 2 (Guler and Endrick), it's more complicated. I think they will understand that they are clearly behind in the pecking order to begin with and that they have to earn their minutes.
I think the debate in the video was about which 6 (non-defensive) players start if Mbappe comes, and they left out Rodrygo. And that somehow led to the conclusion that one has to leave (Rodrygo in this case).
My point is even if we have a pecking order of the seven players mentioned (Mbappe, Vini, Jude, Fede, Tcho, Cama and Rodrygo), and Rodrygo ranks 7, it doesn't mean we need to sell him. In all likelihood we'll have injuries each season, which means no one is sitting unhappy on the bench. And with the amount of fixtures in the football calendar, we need starter quality on the bench for rotation. It works well at City and I don't see why we couldn't pull it off here.
Having 8 players (Brahim included) for 6 slots is fine, with Guler and Endrick getting sporadic mins until they prove themselves (or go on loan). Injuries and fatigue will take care of players getting annoyed w "lack of mins".
Think of it this way - Kroos, Modric, Joselu are gonna be replaced by Mbappe, Endrick, Guler. Squad depth isn't really increasing.
Analysis and my long essay aside. I love them all and it just sucks that we might lose someone because we have too many good players haha. But we're so lucky rn - an exciting era is on the horizon. Don't wanna jinx it but I'm expecting big things from this gen 🙏🏼
Why bench any of the three? You can put Vinny on the left, K.Mbappe plays striker, and Rodrigo on the right Bellingham and Valverde in center midfield Tchouaméni in DM The manager can even put Camavinga in LB if Davis don’t come so I don’t believe there is a need to sell any player if Mbappe comes joselu should be back at Espanyol by then.
Put Camavinga left back and get a left foot center back and more defensive right back to play a 3 back and cama can tuck into the mid a bit more. Problem solved
So basically the smartest thing we can do is renew both the young midfielders and forwards contracts to preserve their value incase we need to make tough decisions in the near/late future.

Kiyan always slags off people online & on twitter but here is a topic that baits the worst part of the Real Madrid fanbase. Sergio Ramos, one of our most legendary captains & one of our biggest legends, his era took over 10 years to win the 1st CL. He got humiliated so many times, by Ronaldinho, Henry & even others. Rodrygo & Vini are miles ahead of schedule of Ramos/three peat era.
Raul had many seasons where he barely scored & even Cristiano Ronaldo had large sections of the season where he didn't score. Football fans have no patience & are reactionary, football teams adapt to us. Jude Bellingham was scoring, teams modified to counter Jude, they modified to counter Vini, Rodrygo, Joselu & so on. What matters is that the team is scoring, if the team is scoring it works. Fans never learnt from Raul, Fede Valverde & Benzema who made teams click, even if they didn't score... Real Madrid fans cannot appreciate players who prioritize the team & make the team click over shiny goals or assists. No wonder Kroos is not rated at goat level of midfielders, our fanbase is toxic.
Nothing personal against Mbappe, I think he's a great player and the way he handles his business is top level but as a Madridista, is this guy worth the stability of the dressing room. He chose to stay in Paris bcz he's French, Are we sure that he's not just a merchant who used Real Madrid's name to grow in Popularity? Why should he start over Rodrygo?

Vini also hasnt been consistent, we all just have a soft spot for vini because of what he has done in the past. Vini isnt much of a better finisher than rodrygo and rodrygo dribbles purely while vini relies on pace which means Rodrygo probably plays for longer

Valverde is the most important Real Madrid player in the past 3 seasons bar none. And he keeps getting even more important. His role in that midfield hasn't been seen because he is yet to miss games. When he does, and I pray he never does, then you'll show him some fucking respect.
