    I heard this song, picked up a guitar and played it and I don't even have a great ear. It's a riff a drummer would write. No concern with skill or artistry, just what it sounds like.

    you can play this song in just e flat(d sharp) tuning as well can't you, that's how i learned it!

    • @oxrjbizzle1984y
      @oxrjbizzle1984y 7 лет назад

      you just have to play the main riff off the 2nd fret, f power chord or f major barre chord, i guess it would be easier for beginners to play in drop c sharp tuning but this is an easy song for anyone at an advanced beginner or beyond skill anyways....

    • @keithbeckett1349
      @keithbeckett1349 7 лет назад

      I would like to get this to sound right without having to change tuning, so..
      if you use a power chord on the 2nd fret (2-4-4) what is best for the open bit ?
      just remove the index finger and make it 0-4-4 ? or all open 0-0-0 ? or something else ?
      (i could prob just grab my guitar and try it, to rule out some things that just don't sound right, as i imagine all open just wouldnt work. but im just wondering)

    • @Xerxes0421
      @Xerxes0421 7 лет назад

      Keith Beckett it'll make it harder to play because you have to play F and C# changing positions. rather than playing F and lifting the fingers to play C#

    • @Xerxes0421

      Keith Beckett People should get in the habit of tuning their instruments it take no more than 30 seconds for me to tune it down and another 30 to tune back up

    • @oxrjbizzle1984y
      @oxrjbizzle1984y 7 лет назад +1

      it's better to use alternate picking in general whenever you can, people who always use downstrokes limit their playing imo, but since that little riff isn't super fast obviously you could use all downstrokes.

      Raigā yeah it's definitely true, kurt seemed to like to use a lot of alternate picking, but that doesn't mean that we have to play it that way obviously! i use alternate picking whenever i can and i think it has made me a better guitar player....
