As an American fan of Wales I think some of the awesome plays he has made in rugby, if you want to get Chief's fans excited, you should probably cut a few of these plays out.
Seeing him kick and chase or pass the ball away is more likely to give them nightmares than any anticipation of great deeds to come from him.

Football is a piece of cake.

He's going to be a special teams ace, elite in 4 roles:
      1. Kickoff Specialist - he will be the kicker on kickoff (new rules just adopted). This gives us an extra gunner (down field tackler) on kickoff as usually your kicker is a weak tackler.
      2. Punt Blocker - self explanatory
      3. Personal Protector - protects punter from blocks, but also acts as a threat for the direct snap (fake punt)
      4. Kick Returner/Hands Team - he will line up across Toney as KR2. His lateral tricks will come in handy. Also, his elite hands will be wanted to recover onsides kicks.
On offense, they can use him as a wildcat, which is a running back that takes a direct snap. It would only be one package for short yardage situations. Once again his lateral tricks come in handy for the option, his hands for motioning out wide (WR) for bubble screens, and motioning in from out wide for the reverse toss sweep, a play that fits him like a glove. He's going to be a fan favorite, might even make the pro bowl as the special teamer.

@@rittherugger160Football is really complicated. There’s 22 guys on the field, all with specific jobs. A playbook can have 300 or 400 plays in it, all of which need to be memorized. Football stops after every play & a new play is called & you need to know where you’re supposed to be & what route you’re supposed to run.

Had a double wing, belly series, sprintout passing attack and quadruple option (yes 4 options) back in the late 60s.. Football isn't all that complicated.
Look, He doesn't have to know the whole playbook and what everyone's job is.
At first he only needs to learn what you want him to do on a limited number of plays.
You're not asking the guy to play quarterback or even defense. All he needs to know is what to do for 3 to 5 seconds at a time. If the play last any longer than that it's because he's scoring.

He picked up a good agent early on. Kim Miales from Roc Nation. A good agent, especially one already with a lot of NFL players on their books can do wonders opening doors, getting teams and coaches to be aware of you. They market you very well and he was part of the NFL IPP special program down in florida. It was always going 2 happen for him based on the new rule that every team in NFL can now add 1 extra player from the IPP onto their practice squad. Those South Sea islanders you mention from Fiji, Tonga, Samoa are the forgotten men of rugby which is a crying shame because given half a chance many of them would have just as good a chance as Rees Zammit of getting onto an NFL team if they had a good agent based in America pushing their cause and if they participated in the IPP program. I hope in time some of them get that opportunity. Or perhaps NFL scouts should start going over there to those countries to see what kind of talent there is and see who would be interested in trying a different sport.

Now the interesting thing with Zammit and the Chiefs, the Chiefs love trick plays that involve laterals which is something every rugby player is pretty accustomed to. Also with the new NFL kickoff rules I could see him being a good kickoff and punt returner.

Having said that, the IPP route allows any teams to take on an extra international player who may be able to make their 53-man squad, and even if he does not he can be added their allowed 16-player practice squad, and can be elevated to the active roster up to 3 times a year, so I think it's a no brainer.
