Headcanon Accepted. -> The "extreme cuteness" perceived by all other cells is actually an evolutive adaptation to make them docile to the guidance/orders given by the platelets (so they do not resist when they are basically chained together to die from dehydration). White Blood Cell knew well enough that he was going to die when he jumped high enough to fight Aureus (either killed by the bacteria´s counter-attack, lost to the "void" of the outside, or glued to the fibrin). What a hero! Red Blood Cell is too "naive" (ha!), unaware that she was getting stuck just by going there to talk with him (not that she would avoid the platelets hypnotizing her to get into the fibrin anyways).
Me on the outside: ouch, I scraped my hand on that rock, its bleeding a little, but thats alright. My blood cells: OH MY GOD! THE ENTIRE RESIDENTIAL AREA NUMBER 257b HAS BEEN DESTROYED! TAKE COVER!
Let me tell you something exciting, season 2 is coming in 2021!! By the way, my favorite character is the macrophage. You will see why in further episodes
I think the host body is an average healthy adult in this series. That line last episode was a hypothetical I think, talking about how dangerous the bacterium can be. I've heard there's a spin off called cells at work black which is set in the body of an elderly alcoholic smoker. Just remember it's set on a cellular scale so a small scrape on the skin is a giant crater and that explosion is probably UV light getting inside the body. The host body probably never even noticed that injury, but to a cell in that part of the body it would be terrifying seeing even a single bacterium.
This is what I've been wanting to comment in every vid like this and they are like commenting that same thing about the host body. We are fighting these invasions on a minimal scale on a daily basis, aren't we? It does not really mean that the host in this one is immuno-compromised.
"Is that inflammation?" Minor spoiler (ignore this paragraph, and this one only if you're against spoilers) (that is, spoilers that are VERY obvious, since main character don't die, they only fade away...): RBC AE 3803 survives past the final episode. But... one thing to notice: Red blood cells have reversible coats. When they're carrying O2, they have bright red coats that have dark linings. When they're carrying CO2, they have dark red coats, with bright linings.
The show would be so awful if they wouldn't have their facts checked out, everything in this show is accurate (as far a I know), that's what makes it so awesome!
there is a spin off manga about good bacteria actually! so the original cells at work won't focus on them, but they do exist in this universe. look forward to see more of your reaction videos to the following episodes ^)
you are the second person that I watched react to this that noticed the host has an Immune compromise (something along that line), which is probably the reason why the host keeps getting problems each episode. This show should soon add Covid-19 in its future season.
I love watching medical experts and trainees watch this show - but it's an extra treat when they're anime fans too! I understand this was a while ago and you may be busy in these Interesting Times, but I hope you are well and that we get to share your impressions of the rest of this season! ^^
@@DanielKaganov Maybe I should go check what a 'weekly' means. :D Heheh, just kidding. But seriously, I'd be so glad and thankful if you could share more reaction videos soon! I really enjoyed your reaction, I loved it!
@@DanielKaganov that's mighty noble of you for not monetizing this video and I'm enjoying the content, it's really well put together. Keep it up and stay genuine and stay safe man 👍

Hi mate, what chair do you have there? Looks comfy. Looking for a better one myself as I need to look after my back more now I'm in my 30s! Apologies if it's been asked before.
Hi Bob I just updated the description to this video to include a link to my desk setup which has the chair on it! Glad you are looking out for your back since we spend a lot of time in chairs during the day :)
@@DanielKaganov Oh-ho I never thought of looking there. Cheers mate! Those links help a lot, same with the workout gear. Best to keep a healthy body for hard working cells!
Hey, I wonder, since the red and white blood cell was at the end used to plug up the abrasion, and later become a scab. Won't they die later when the scab is later naturally gone? does anyone know the answer?
I've heard a lot of people say that only things this anime gets wrong are those that are necessary to be wrong in order to have a lasting main cast (For example a neutrophil's lifespan being 12~20hours at best), so no. But I do believe cells that become scabs die in real life.
@@oceanmythjormundgandr3891 if you want to see it get the "depressing cell death stuff" right you should check out the spin off cells at work: black where the cells live in an unhealthy human body! Forewarning it is just super depressing
anime, the only thing that makes me ship my own cells
wow wow m8 LOL
The platelets are so cute they force all those cells to hug each other during secondary hemostatis.
Paige Miller yes hahaha the power of friendship and secondary hemostasis 😂
But these poor cells dry and die in the clot ☹️
