📢 Ingredients
300g (2 cups) Bread flour
205g (0.85 cup) Milk
38g (3 tbsp) Sugar
3g (1 tsp) Instant yeast
3g (1/2 tsp) Salt
28g (2 tbsp) Unsalted butter
Cooking oil
Sugar
Frying temperature is about 160°C (320°F)
📢 Important tips
1. This recipe can make 12 donuts.
2. The milk can be adjusted appropriately, about 200-210g, dough is very soft.
3. Deep frying temperature should be about 160°C (320°F), after the oil temperature is reached, turn to medium-low heat for frying.
4. Dip the donuts in sugar when they are warm, it will be easy to coat them.
5. If you want to fry the white belt line, please do not flip the doughnuts too much. Just need to flip the doughnuts twice.

I made these today. They turned out amazing. Make sure your milk is warm (120) add the sugar and yeast and sit for 15min. The dough gets easier to work with after you let it sit. Thank you for this recipe!

Made the dough yesterday afternoon, I used a stand mixer to blend in the butter more evenly and then let the dough rise in a covered bowl overnight. This really developed the glutens nicely and made for a dough that was very easy to handle this morning. It also allowed for a really fluffy bloom once in the oil. I like the idea of letting the first side skin-up a little then flipping again to get that golden color. I recommend using caster sugar to coat them, which is plain white sugar ground in a bullet grinder to get a consistency halfway between granulated and 10x. I wish I could share a photo - they came out perfect!
I will try this recipe this weekend and I'm sure our kids will love them. Can't wait for the yummy goodness.

@@nalomsibarani2954 Yes! After posting this I made a batch as per the instructions, with a 1-hour rise. They came out very good but the batch from the overnight rise in the fridge were much, much lighter in texture.

Any time there’s yeast, you usually need warm milk. That being said, it should have stated that.
I’m new to learning to work with dough(s) and Gosh has it been trial and error at times. I keep extra everything on hand now because of having to start over when things get messed up.😄 I made a gorgeous batch of Cinnamon rolls Sunday and realized how much I really love making breads, cakes, donuts etc homemade! What is bread flour
@@tg-hr9yg flour for bread I guess?? You can just use all purpose but you might need to make a few adjustments in the recipe, I recommend using Google to know what the difference between them
@@tg-hr9yg it's not the same as all purpose, it has more gluten in it than all purpose and is more suitable for bread. It ensures a better gluten structure in your bread. Different flours have different gluten amounts in them. Depending on the flour you want to use depends on what your making.

@@Alina-wt3us yes, the dough was sticky at the start but soon when I added butter, it was tough to kneed the dough but after sometime the dough became soft....
Literally, just ate these, still hot and so pillowy. I rolled half in cinnamon sugar and the other half in powdered sugar. I was skeptical about such a 'wet' dough, but it came together and I will make them again... and likely again lol. Thank you

I tried to make donuts before but without yeast and it turned very bad it was hard as rock but today I understood that to make donuts you have to use yeast and I tried your recipe and it worked like heaven ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You can make it without yeast by adding baking soda and baking powder those are also amazing

My Japanese great gran mama uses all plant based milks and less sugar. It turns out super good the best plant based milk is from silk called next milk. Never use dairy again its so toxic for us it makes everything not healthier 🎉

This recipe is the same has koreans twisted donuts style. It's more like bread... But what I like most it's the caky style donuts recipe , without yeast bread, so so smooth and moist inside and caky and and so chewy, it melted in your mouth ... , so good !
