What was the brown cracked product in the tin you used before buffing the boots? Brown show polish? Also the liquid dye in the beginning what kind is it? And the white cracked tin what was that? I want shine by boots so bad now!
The dye is a leather dye used on shoes it soaks in and dries super fast. The brown cracked product was just a brown polish and the white one was I think a clear polish more glossy maybe but not 100% sure. Usually does a two tone polish from finish but I like this one as well.
Love the content, but man those gloves squeking turned me into Mr. Krabs when he gave those boots to spongebob and had to deepfry then eat them because of the squeaking... but other than that this stuff is great man

He's 'scraping' or 'turning' the leather. Which means he's taking the dirt off the leather by removing a fine layer. Think of removing a layer of clear coat from a car.

In terms of shoe shines scrapping with a knife can be used for stubborn stains or sanding in a way… the surface becomes smooth and less blemished. Also doing this can cause micro abrasions and allow product to work better. Getting a good result requires a lot of prep work. It’s why if you paint something and don’t prepare the surface then paint can and will simply fall off.
