Isn't that the whole point of buying these and the channel itself?
I'm not sure why this appears to surprise you.😁
True
I mean, yea. It's kind of logic to do things that will give you views when you're a content creator.
Hopefully Tyler isn’t jumping the shark. The more expensive the car he’s featuring the less interesting I find the video. Watching him intentionally wreck a $20K Land Rover on his estate is too Richie Rich for me.
The content I found most interesting involved buying sub $10K German money pits and trying to restore them to running condition. That’s the content that got the channel started.
I recognize I’m just one viewer and Tyler has a far better idea what resonates with his audience than I do. But it’s clear from both Tyler and JR’s channels that success may bring new struggles in trying to create engaging content.
Just to add, I think he intentionally destroyed it because he knew the motor was bad. The reason for the two videos was to recoup the costs of buying that hunk of shit.
But yeah, totally agree with you on the direction of this channel lately. Very out of touch with his core audience.
Used to be fixing hoopties, now is big money and destruction.
I see your point but it’s not like it’s a secret that he has many many times the followers now vs then, and therefore makes much more $$$ from his videos. It would make sense that the cars he buys would also become more expensive. Is he supposed to pretend he makes the same income vs 10 years ago? I used to buy and sell cars off my lawn; I got a lot of them from a public auction. If a car was too much to fix, I didn't try to fix it so it would last long enough to get rid of it, I would just junk it. Because of this way of thinking, I never had someone bring a car back and complain.
This is why the local 4x4 shop near me has a 4 post lift out back to pressure wash them when they come in like this.
My ex gf's mom bought one of these Evoque shitboxes brand new in 2019, the motor made it to 27K before grenading. No warranty coverage, and the dealer quoted her just over $20K for a new motor. I had no idea that they are putting FORD 2.0L motors into these Tata builds, but the amount of failures makes sense now.
A 2018 and up has the JLR specific Ingenium 4 cylinder
As a mechanic, if I was the Wizard, I would have sent you out the door in about 12 seconds telling you to clean the F out of that undercarriage before I even let it in my garage.
These two men are not only good friends but business partners. A little mud ain’t shit. It’s the intent and clearly hoovie wasn’t thinking. We need to move society back to saving their ire for actual fuck ups
Tyler, I hate to say it... but you definitely destroyed that Land Rover's engine. Sure there may have been an underlying issue, but it could have been serviceable with a simple head gasket replacement. You definitely overheated it, and made it cease. It was running fine before that, and I don't think it had been overheated before. Even a healthy engine would have been destroyed the way you were treating that thing.
When that low coolant warning light comes on, it means stop. Now. Not in a mile, not in a few hundred feet. Now. Same with the overheat light, or low oil pressure light. Add thrashing the engine to that mix, and you're lucky it's still running at all.
Blocking up your exhaust in 4 foot of mud tends to do that.
Anyone else getting bored with the same thing over and over? Buys a car and takes it to wizard to have it fixed and then lets it sit and sells it repeat.
Actually I find it extremely entertaining. Usually the only videos I watch are the ones with wizard and them noting all the problems with his cars.
Nope.
@DrVaults Yes!!! He is clearly desperate for content. Whats more insulting is the lawyer ads! We pay for a utube acct to not see ads! And he's not even demonitized!!!!!!!
That has been his channel since day 1 lol
NOPE LOVE IT
As a former mechanic and shop foreman, I commend the Weeeeeezard's patience...... I'm hard pressed to let a Land Rover into my shop as it is, let alone one that someone just went and got coated in mud. Working on muddy stuff sucks. You better pay that man well. And clean his shop floors lol
That was muddy sewage, which is showing disrespect to The Car Wizard
Because of Tyler's influence, the Wizard is over 1 million subs on his channel. Trust me, the Wizard doesn't mind at all.
Yes, I don't think the Wizard is ever actually surprised when Hoovie drives in. It's not a documentary, it's content produced for entertainment.
It's all rehearsed it's nothing but a show, I watch it cuz I like cars but don't get sucked into this. He's rich as he'll from u tube..us watching. And to think there people who think he's genuine and felt bad for him at some point. He's a smart person who knows what he's doing
I’ve had vehicles with kseal leak stopper for hundreds of thousands of miles. I don’t normally agree with it but this stuff is unreal and doesn’t clog everything up like most. Been a while since hoovie had some fun I liked the episode!
That mud looks like mud from septic tank drain😂😂😂
Videos of people purposefully destroying cars in ignorant ways are the most boring of videos.
How many years was “Top Gear (The Grand Tour)” on TV?
@@floridajack7222 this isn't Top Gear lol
@@floridajack7222 I outgrew Top Gear/Grand Tour a while ago. The last straw for me was when James trashed that Evo. It's not even my kind of car but the senseless destruction of perfectly good vehicles for cheap entertainment just doesn't do it for me anymore. I prefer RUclips to Top Gear because most people are car enthusiasts fixing up cars rather than people who can hardly parrot the brochure trashing them.
I hate this.
Stop leak, tried it, knew the engines end was near. Nissan v6 with 140k miles.
@@egold1006 Yup, whoever sold this knew it was going to break soon.
People trying to act like this was ever a decent car before Hoovie got it are out of their minds. Nobody puts stopleak in a good engine, this was a doomed car before he got it. We should just be glad that it went to someone like Hoovie who has a youtube channel that can pay to fix it as opposed to some poor person who couldn't. Blame the previous owners and whoever sold it, they passed off their problem.
The blasphemy by Hoovie is extremely unfortunate for us, and especially unfortunate for him!!!!
Swap in an LS or a 5.0 supercharged lmao
Cummins swap it
Yeah I'd do some crazy engine swap if I could. Might as well.
Tyler, stop-leak is, at best, temporary at "fixing" something. I've used it to make a motor last long enough to get a new motor installed. I hope your rig is not too dead.
Stop leak was fine in your 1974 Chevy, not suitable for most modern cars
Shows how somebody knew that engine was going to grenade.
It’s almost like he knew the engine was shot and thus beat the hell out of it. Then brought it to the Wizard and acted surprised.
Yep, If I wanted bad acting I'd go back to watching TV.
Of course. This is fake....the whole thing is beneath him....but maybe not. Probably time to unsub this one.
These cars are sold and marketed as offroaders.
No, just being a Range Rover means that half a dozen things are wrong with it at any time.
Pure speculation, and who cares 🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣
Legend has it Hoovie is both the catalyst for Wheezard's youtube channel as well as the reason for the Wheezard's retirement. You've burned the man out, Hoovie.
Hey Hoovie, any one can trash a Pinto. It takes someone really special to do a Merc SUV convertible. You're my new hero!
To quote a resident of the white house...... C'mon man. You were a car length, to the rear, to a road, but the dozer pulls you forward into that!!!!
All that mud, up the the wheel wells. Dragging reverse would have ripped off the bumper, ruining all the front end panels and probably radiator and more.
@@notDonaldFagen fair comment! Good point, well made.
Boy Hoovie, you really showed me a lack of respect for $20,000. I don't take my immaculate Z4 off-roading, even with its brand new tires! Geez! what disrespect for any car. Why not build a figure 8 track on your property and start demolition derby's out there on the Kansas prairie. Lots more fun to watch! Wizzard should push it out back and give Hoovie the hose........
Tyler wants space to work on his own vehicles. Intentionally trashing a 20K vehicle is disrespectful to anyone who fixes cars.
Get over it
It's a evoke dude.. its not worth keeping in great nick and was actually cheap for hoovie..
@@forresttma 20k pristine looking car is not worth keeping? Really ?
@Ted_Kenzoku it will be more then 20k when he sells it on.
Also it will be repaired.
This is the same thing hoovie has done for years. Buy something bad, pay wizard etc to fix it. Sell it at a "loss" and repeat.
Video income helps offset the difference and its nearly tax season for the usa (he mentioned it in the last video) he's not THAT dumb.
He's got to have a way out that is a win somehow.
@@forresttm lmfao the alleged multimillionaire who faints everytime he sees a mechanic bill and had to sell the Mustang because he couldn't afford the bill.
these two Land Rover Vids have been my Favorite videos from you in a while!! much love from California!
Why are people mad, if hoovie wants to burn money on a car he broke who cares. Its entertaining
in the UK he's Known as a spoilt brat , to much money, not enough intell
hi from Glasgow
Rich person showing off how wasteful they are to all the poors😂
Welcome to the internet
As a past technician you were going to have to wash that car before it rolled into the shop. No way I’m touching it.
Some of my favourite channels to watch Kinda reminds me these days of those “restoration” videos where you can clearly tell they buried it in the backyard for a few weeks and then restore it.
ok, we all know how this went.
got the car, figured it out had a bad motor, decided to make an insane destruction video.
well played.
Omg! What the hell were you thinking? That was a mudbath, what a disaster day.
A Rover with a Ford Ecoboost engine, what could go wrong
Everything
@@BMW_Z4idiot 😂😂
Honestly the 2.0L can be pretty reliable. Idk which one this has tho. Earlier version is basically a Mazda block, then they changed it to a much weaker open deck design that had many issues
@@MrDummyisDumb And that’s what Ford does reliably, take a good engine and make it a bad one. Aces.
@@hokie9910 Preaching to the choir. Although as I understand the last few years they redesigned the 2.0L again and it's been supposedly reliable since. But time will tell. Hard to judge reliability so early on.
The Wizard not have allowed you to drive that filthy vehicle into his shop, nor should you have thought it was okay to do so. It was a thoughtless action on your part.
You do know that Wizard owes almost everything he has now to Hoovie right?
@@cudadog11 No he doesn't. How did you arrive at that conclusion? Wizard built his business from a one car home garage to what he has now.
I said almost, Hoovie pushed him into RUclips, without it he wouldn't be even half the size he is now, Wizard said so himself.
That lift going up sounded like, "Dead man walking."
