I been a big fan of Merle Haggard since I was 10, even bought my very first Merle Haggard album when I was 12. I'm 55 years old now and still love Merle Haggard, so many talent people of today would put in a song or two that Merle Haggard wrote into their performance on stage.
Somebody get some water, bc THAT IS FIRE!!! That tele and steel interplay is so good that I could close my eyes and SWEAR Roy And Norm are together again. I love the vocals too! The voice and delivery were phenomenal and identifiable, and I miss when that was at the top of the priority list. Your band is appropriately as on fire as your picking brother. Ty for sharing!!!
I hopped over here from Ben's Weekend Wankshop. I had no clue you existed and now.........instant fan. I will study that solo again and again. The musicianship of the band so amazing and so tight, I tried not to tap my foot and failed.
Has a resemblance to Travis Tritt in voice timbre. I’d always loved this song and been pleasantly surprised how closely it is identified as a “Haggard favorite” despite the fact MCA released it after he had signed with Epic, therefore giving it hardly any support as a single release.
Awesome Band! Awesome guitar playing Andy! How do you get that tone? Is it possible to get my made in Mexico Telecaster to sound like that??? I love that twangy Tele sound. Any suggestions?
its always great seeing andy and uncle ben playing together :D
