Yes, yes, yes and yes. There are not enough yes's and wins available at the yes and win shop for this demo, Mike. And that's a whole boatload of songs I don't have to cover in my demo. Ha! Thanks! Man, what a sound. Both of you - Robert and Mike - nailed it.
Mike did the “Dark Side” pedal, OR I saw it before hand... either way, (not that I regret it) I ♥️that pedal!!! But THIS THING!! OMG!!1 Jimi in a BOX!!! (OPEN that wallet!!! ......AGAIN!! 🤦♂️ )
Well now baseball season is upon us and BOOM we have the first home run of the season. I'm hearing more than Hendrix it seems there is some Jeff Beck slipped in and mixed in that box too.
Rainy Day,Sail Away....🎶😊 Had mine since they first came out -sure could have used your expertise then but wow, sooo grateful now👍 Damn good skills,Hombre. Inspiring! We prefer adding a Ventura vibe after the Monterey, with a wah in front of it all.
Awwwwww sheeeeeeit... Normally I don't like Keeley pedals because he's so crazy defensive on social media, but this pedal is nutso awesome. Really, really, really cool pedal. Mike is fantastic, too, as usual.
This pedal forced me to reinvent everything about my guitar playing. That is the best thing that happened to my playing since I bought my first real Strat.
@@jacobfuqua Thanks for the reply! Ended up with a Player Series in surf pearl myself. I still prefer my teles and jazzmaster, but the strat is definitely it's own thing!
@@thecleanchannelmusicyou bet! My experience every guitar, amp, pedal all have their own place where they absolutely shine. In the words of JHS, just try stuff!!
A lifetime of messing around with phasers, flangers and choruses and i finally got hold of a Lex and realised that it was pretty much the Leslie sound I was chasing all the time....so that was good. I have never been a Trower fan really and late Hendrix (and you shouldn't really be doing anything pre Band of Gypsys...Hahahaha) was just another untouchable world because I have hated every Vib pedal I have ever heard. Having said all that and notwithstanding my hatred of the breed, this pedal sounds fantastic. It helps of course that the best pedal demonstrator online is on the case
Love my Monterey with C4 compressor oxblood and The Octave Wolf. I couldn't believe they made a special edition but the wolf lets you choose Germanium or silicon and octave on or off. But it was limited edition. Robert Keeley master of pedals. Think i need reverb and or Delay as my carbon copy stays on one setting. Might have to go to Keeley site and start saving my but off. Also recommend there exp pedal gives you more to play with lol.
wowee, treating myself to this pedal sooner than later! i was looking at Dunlop and Mayer but you stole my earheart! all the psychedelic tones i desire - in your pedal. Serindipity! and an awesome demo to close the deal! peace. ps : all the players at Monterey Pop are an inspiration!
Fantastic sounding pedal and great demo. Before buying I would really like to know if amongst all the combination options I could completely isolate the octave down function? Thanks.
I would buy this pedal based on the awesome graphics alone... thankfully it also sounds amazing so win-win! Sounds like it should also be useful for early David Gilmour with the fuzz and vibe! Any chance we'll be able to order this from UK retailers in the not to distant future?
+Articulate Guitar I'd like to know the size too. Same size as a compressor pro or KTR doesn't help me. I need inches or centimeters to see if I can work it into my board.
Mike Hermans you crazy!!!Of Jimi continues to terrify but how did you come up with those little compositions comprised of bits of his songs?Do you have a record out for us to study? That edalis science fiction!Mike Hermans you crazy!!!
I like how you demoed this far-freaking-out Hendrixomophone. No talking, just play with some words below to tell me what's going on and an image of this colorfully painted box. Sounds and looks great -- I have one coming in the mail. 4:05 WOAH great sound, followed by my fav Hendrix song (the martian one with the chicken)
This would be one more of those pedals that I’d fk around with for a few hours, then return it to it’s box, only to be found in perfect condition, 3 years later...
Is there any demos with a Les Paul, 335 or PRS - basically anything with humbuckers. I love Hendrix as much as the next guy, but it would be nice to see how versatile it is.
@@stevewebertampainvestments2097 same here, been switching out comps over the years thinking I didn't have the right one...truth was I didnt need one for my live tone. In a studio their great to record with but removed my vertex Nyle...and my vertex ultraphonix and my tone got sooo much better. Guess you got stick with the trusted brands to get the trusty sounds. Rocking a Cavern v2 now, and trying to think of any reason not to add this guy. All I needed wA a vibe pedal WHYYYY???
If the trend becomes two pedals in one!!! There is always gonna be someone to one up you with three...Should I wait for four in one?? Nah..What is a wallet used for again- which way did who go??
+Robert Keeley Thank you for the quick reply Robert! I'm sure I will, I'm just very skeptical of having ADDA conversion happening on my pedalboard (traumas of owning a Line 6 M13 and sounding like I was playing through a limiter, well, at least they made me go back to my old analog pedal days!). I hope the guys at Electric Mojo here in Canada will stock those soon!
Jimi didn't use the vibe or wah at Monterey, just a fuzz face into a single Marshall plexus stack, and two fender dual showmen on the vibrato side with slow subtle low depth tremolo. The tone was one of a kind and was never heard again, this pedal should stimulate that particular tone
Fantastic guitar playing and creativity
Thanks so much!

Thanks so much Brett! It's a really great pedal. Have you gotten yours yet? Looking forward to your demo, as always.
Most favorite versatile guitarist on the internet !!! Keep up the great work Mike !!!!
Robert Keeley is a bonafide genius. This is beyond sensational - everything about it. Awesome playing too Mike!
Thanks! Robert really brought his A game with this one
Wow! Burning of the midnight lamp. Way to pull a deep track, Mike!
If only all pedal reviews were this good. The pedal is awesome too. Just ordered one on the strength of this excellent video production.
So much win in this video. Stellar demo as always Mike, and once again Robert knocked it out of the park.
My dude, you somehow figured out how to make stoner Hendrix psychedelica. This video is the thing that pushes me over the edge into pure bliss.
Mine came in yesterday...what a phenomenal pedal!
My poor aching wallet. This is a must have pedal.
It's a killer pedal

This pedal is amazing! I play reggae rock music and this pedal will give me amazing dub tones while letting me throw down some great sounding fuzz!
Love it Mike!

Do you think Monterey should be place first in line, before all buffers and wah pedals? Or can be placed after a Turner with buffer or a wah pedal?
Bravo! Incredible demo of a super-pedal!
Sounds amazing!!!
...as an avid Hendrix fan, I'm absolutely speechless...my goodness, outstanding work, Robert & co! Incredible demo, Mike!
Thanks! Mr Keeley did an amazing job

Awesome demo Mike! Keeley is a master!
Thanks! Yes he is!

Exceptional playing as always, Mike! If it's not too much trouble, in what size enclosure is the Monterey housed?
I believe it's the same size as the compressor pro, or a KTR, etc...

Whats that riff at 1:15? I just cant figure it out...
"Burning of the Midnight Lamp".
oh yes...

A comp, an OD, this, maybe a chorus or flanger, and a Delay and you'd be sorted for a grab 'n go board.
