I worked at Carderock 1972-1977 and enjoyed it greatly. Met my wife there. It's a unique facility in all the world. Built in the 1930s to replace a tiny facility down at the Washington Navy Yard. The main tow tank is 5/8 of a mile long and built to conform to the curvature of the earth, which they did without the aid of computers or lasers. Back in the 1970s the USA Olympic Kayak Team would sometimes train in there. Lots of scientific disciplines on the campus; about 2000 employees and usually about 200 are PhD types. At one time they had some German wind tunnels brought over after WW-2. There is a huge storage room under the east end of the main tow tank that looks like that scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark where they keep putting large boxes into storage. It was a memorable 4.5 years of my working life.

The very fear that even the bravest cannot conquer is the fear of the unknown. Not knowing what's under the water will make you doubt, curious, and fear it at the same time. It's part of human system, in order to live. Like many movies, "Jaws" is a fictional movie with no realism whatsoever, Sharks are important in the ecosystem. The food chain is well and alive when they're included. My point is, they rarely eat people, if I'm correct, the numbers for cause of death are significantly lower in shark attacks than accidents, suicides, and more. But just enjoy the feeling that you don't know whats in the pool. Hope I made you feel better. 😄

See you after la gets attacked by drones in 2025
The scariest scenario involving that pool, would be someone leaving a floater, like in CaddyShack. Although in the movie it turned out to be just someone’s “Baby Ruth” candy bar.
That pool looks terrifying I feel if a went in there I would get sucked up or something....
They need some giant rubber duckies.
Sebastian Peace 😂
yep
I can’t be the only one who got this randomly recommended to
everyone did
alex ツ I didn’t, I was watching Marine water training and wanted to see what this was about.
Atainable oh. well, you’re excused then.
nah we all did
I got it
I don’t know if it’s the lighting in the pool or just how uncanny it is but this scares me more than the actual ocean
Found all the missing Cali water
Icey McNugget Please give them back to us :(
Southern California is in a drought, not northern. Here's a map of drought in California, compared to a map of drought in a usually wet state, say Massachusetts.

Massachusetts: droughtmonitor.unl.edu/data/pngs/20161220/20161220_ma_none.png
Icey McNugget Nope. It's not in California. It's on the Potomac river.
Is that why the water company keeps raising the price of water? I paid more for water in that communist state than i do for electric here in Texas
This pool makes me feel uncomfortable
If you can't hold on to the sides it ain't for me🇿🇦

The MASK has a depth of 20 feet, except for one 50-foot-wide strip with a depth of 35 feet, which is used to test oil rigs and other stationary platforms.

That pool was making me have anxiety and terrifying me
Jaws was so impactful to the point of me fully believing that there's a huge freaking shark in that water.
My dude, I cannot even go into a pool if its already night,
Thats how terrified I am
Thalassophobia?
The very fear that even the bravest cannot conquer is the fear of the unknown. Not knowing what's under the water will make you doubt, curious, and fear it at the same time. It's part of human system, in order to live. Like many movies, "Jaws" is a fictional movie with no realism whatsoever,
Sharks are important in the ecosystem. The food chain is well and alive when they're included. My point is, they rarely eat people, if I'm correct, the numbers for cause of death are significantly lower in shark attacks than accidents, suicides, and more. But just enjoy the feeling that you don't know whats in the pool. Hope I made you feel better. 😄
Open this facility up on the weekends to the public to use as a water park. Thank you!
Does everyone get the same recommended?
Hanate333 seems like it
I think so, there's something weird going on, because you suddenly see videos and channels go from like 10,000 to 800,000 in a matter of days and then weeks.
no, small fraction of people do.
this means according to Google's algorithm, we're same kind of people with striking similarities .. which is pretty remarkable if you ask me .
Hanate333 big brother is watching
why was this recommended now??? lol
Dillon Bush ikr saaame
I was wondering that as well lol
Dillon Bush
Idk
@Dillon - recommended to freak you out
