The two things Shannon and Stephen a Smith have in common is Skip Bayless gave both of them their start you don't have to like Skip Bayless but no one will know these two in that atmosphere if it was not for him and now both of them are getting paid give that man his flowers and stop trying to dog him out and stop trying to play the race card
I predicted that was gonna happen between Skip and unk about two years before it happened. Because I noticed that Shannon‘s reactions were lightning fast, while Skip was talking. And it put a lot of pressure on skip. And I could see Skip getting stressed out. I said to myself. This is going to build up overtime and eventually skip is going to blow up. And that is exactly what happened. My friends always thought I had like ESP. But I’m just really good at reading people. But I also felt like it was time for them to go their separate ways because the show had gone on too long. They needed to be some different personalities. I had already taken them off my RUclips list before they had the blowout. Even though Shannon Sharp had fast reactions, Only agreed with him about 78.3% of the time. 😂

Those were weekly shows, but C.C just looked annoyed and sleepy on FTF w/ Nick and Jenna.
The best thing to happen with that show was to replace C.C. with Kevin Wildes.

Skip was def in the wrong, and I think it has been easy over the years to dunk on Skip because of his hyperbolic nature. But, in all fairness, Skip changed the way sports is discussed in the national discorse. He was the pioneer of sports debate in media all the way back to his cold pizza days. I truly think he will not be appreciated for his contributions while he lives. And again, I think he does deserve blame for a lot of his antics, especially during his FS1 tenure, and while he didn't "make" any of them, he DID give spotlight opportunities to Stephen A, Shannon, Chris brussard, Jay Harris, Rob Parker and many more that enjoy the debate formate he perfected, so I also believe that he deserves his flowers while he still lives.

Great breakdown. I haven't watched Undisputed since Shannon left, First Things First since Cris Carter left or Speak since you left. I never thought about why I stopped; this video made me realize why.
I think that's a part of the problem is Skip and Shannon were both open to the lack of the relationship outside of work and that it was intentional in order to avoid sharing of takes and for the first debate and fresh takes to be online
I miss the show. They both came with some strong takes and never seamed to take it personally. It will be hard to replicate their chemistry.

Haven’t watched 1 day of undisputed since Shannon left! To me it’s still crazy they had rather get rid of him instead and of working it out!! Now it just feels forced
I guess we will never know. But I do know that without skip I don't think Shannon would be where he's at today. I mean he even said he was trying to do media for 14 years and couldn't catch a break... Why is that and he makes it sound like Fox didn't even want to hire him but skip was dead set on it being Shannon as his partner.
