Things I love that you mentioned: - having myself ready and breakfast started before kids wake up - having snack ready for when toddler wakes up from nap - Playing Snake when getting dressed, will give that a try - specific toy/ wallet for the grocery store - give husband similar routine to do so that toddler can accept him to put her to bed
That's so funny about the rough housing before bed, we've always done this with our kids (chasing them about the house/bouncing on the trampoline, tickle wars etc.) We call it the kind crazy hour (more like 10-20 minutes). It seems very counter-intuitive, but it really seems to help them transition to bedtime and also releases any tension from earlier in the day or dinner battles.
I just loved how big, bright and genuine your smile was the entire time. The fact that you kept a smile on your face is enough proof for me, other than all the amazing advice, that everything you’re saying is gold. Thank you 🙏🏾.
Beth, I had to come back here to tell you that your diaper changing game and tooth brushing game were such a hit with my toddler!! Made those activities seem new and exciting for her, so thank you! ❤
We’ve been doing read alouds at every meal since my son started sitting at his weaning table at about 10 months old. We used a high chair before that and read as well but reading to him while he ate also helped him to sit still and was fun for us as a family ❤️❤️
I love all your tips and tricks, Beth! I’d love to see how you do toy rotation in your home. Right now I’m swapping with a big storage bin and it’s just not as seamless as I’d like it to be…I’d love to see alternative options!
I love cooking with my toddler, as she is a HUGE snacker and hates big meals lately. So cooking with her has been helpful to know that she's eating as she snacks on the food while we make it :)
I naturally figured out to wake up earlier and have breakfast ready and snack and water ready for after naps, after trial and error. I love that wording for getting ready for a transition Thank you Take care
Another great hack for the tiny hair elastics: you can drop a single drop of any citrus essential oil (lemon is best though) and it will immediately break the elastic and you can pull it off without breaking any hair at all.
Thank you! I can totally see myselg practicing some of this games, as it makes a lot of sense. She is very energetic already with only 6 months old. :) I will definitely continue to watch your content. Cant believe she actually slept through the whole video her morning nap, LOL.
Hey Beth! When did you start putting Vivienne in the learning tower? My daughter is 12 months, is walking and just always wants to be up while I’m cooking. I think this will be so good for her though I’m wondering is she still too young?
Hello! Those toys are actually available on the KiwiCo website outside of kits! I believe you can throw them in as an add on, but otherwise you can find them by looking for the Color Wheel Racers and the Pop-Up Shape Sorter Puzzle!
Hey Beth! I love your videos 💗 Your hair brunette looks so good! I’m in the process of growing out my hair and was wondering how you got yours back to brown so smoothly?
So the food is the answer to my grumpy morning toddler. LOL She'll get up too early sometimes and a sippy cup doesn't always sooth her. So for the next few minutes while I"m rushing to cook up some breakfast she's wiiiiinnnnniiiiinnnnnggg!!! You understand that frustration right? 😅 Thanks for the great hacks Beth!
Dishwasher/dishes, laundry, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, organizing, gardening, food prep, groceries etc! The only things I don’t currently do when they are around are mopping (too many slips haha) and cleaning bathrooms because of the strength of the chemicals.
Hi Beth! Have you found vivienne wants to climb on top of the counter when you pull out the tower? My toddler always wants to climb up on the counter which makes more work! Any tips??
Beth !! Girl …… I’m a SAHM for the past 3 years and I need help! Oh dear. I want a side income or hustle. I have a toddler and a 4 month old. Howwwwww do you do it 😬
Narrate your actions aloud. When I picked something off the floor, I would state that it was yucky garbage and toss it in the trash can. He began bringing me trash off the floor so he could watch me toss it in the trash can.
They decision thing does NOT work for all toddlers! Really, I try that a lot, with clothes, with food, with whatever and she usually refuses both options rigorously and knows really well what she wants which is definitely not what I want -.- When my toddler wakes up from nap she is super cranky and literary EVERYTHING is wrong, she will NOT eat or even havexanyone around her, even I as her mother basically have to keep away but also near heer until she is ready to come, i can take up to an hour.... Generally it is good to present things as games. For brushing teeth I pretend I hear the little monsters in her mouth having a party, then she usually lets me brush them. It helpedas well to have a book about it which she liked a lot. Toy rotation is a great thing! Ich have that primarily with books... We have a game for getting to the car, we pretend there is a storm and we get blown about. Anyway dear parents not all toddlers work the same and not all tipps from here will work for you, that doesn't mean sth is wrong n.n
This is something that I’ve found to be true for my toddler, but I’m not sure if it’s applicable to your situation. I find I have to give her more protein and fat-heavy meals and avoid things like fruit or she will get cranky faster and wake up cranky. Berries that aren’t sweet aren’t as big of a deal though. Really I’m just being careful about feeding her things that won’t make her blood sugar swing. I already don’t feed her grains right now and I feel that helps a lot. Again, not sure if this is applicable in your situation but if so, I hope it helps! Either way, it sounds like you have a strong-willed toddler on your hands 😁❤️

These tips are spot on. They’re very relevant but different to the usual tips

Or any of the same lubricant like hair oil as it reduces friction

Oh my god! Toddler wallet is genius! I’m doing it today.
The "giving options" is such a game changer!
My take home is ,"Learn to play with your toddler." Thank you 🤗

What chores do you do with them around?
Dishwasher/dishes, laundry, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, organizing, gardening, food prep, groceries etc! The only things I don’t currently do when they are around are mopping (too many slips haha) and cleaning bathrooms because of the strength of the chemicals.
This was a great video. Thanks Beth!

Not sure how I can be up and ready when my 2 year old wakes at 5. I also do consistent bedtime every night and he has never once slept through!
This is soooo good!

Omg my toddler always tries to rummage through my wallet wether it's at home or when we're shopping and that wallet hack is genius lol
These are great

What’s the learning tower
I’ll try read alouds at the table. I can never get my son to listen to a story!!!
I literally just taught my husband that elastic trick a few days ago!
❤❤

You cook three meals a day? What about just eating some bread in the morning and evening?
Ew. Three freshly cooked meals a day for the win ❤
This was absolutely helpful in more ways than one! Thank you thank you so much for your advice and help!
