I found I do more damage when I buff cryo and elemental damage than when I buff melee damage (in game they do approximately the same out of FtS, but elemental buffs give me a significant edge while in FtS).
Any reason you chose to buff melee over cryo and elemental?
If not, try it out and tell me if you find the same results.
Downside is the spell cast enchantment is 5 seconds for cryo/elemental, but 10 seconds for melee and general damage.

I've heard people say, "melee is so bad lol, this is a shooter". I'm sending those people this video. I'm doing a melee/cryo Brrzerker/Clawbringer build so this helped a lot!
In the first few seconds of the video he talks about an interaction double dipping, aka doing far more than it should be. Without these bugged interactions, melee is bad

Wait have ppl not seen BL3 or BL2 melee builds? They usually come later but melee has always been strong in these games
I mean, it's set up pretty badly. Only one button, only one swing type, only one melee weapon equipped at a time. If they were going to build into melee, I would have rather they actually did it.
just a tip: grab the modifier before breaking the dice it will increase your chaos crystal gain
This build is super fun. I particularly like using Dreadwind on things like the oblisks where enemies keep just popping out and dying super fast as you whirl around. Thanks for sharing this!

The raiders of the lost shark quest rewards a blue ring that's honestly fantastic for melee builds, it adds 15% melee damage as a random element.

I’ve noticed that a few of the classes have a sort of “blast” skill that works the same, whether it’s blast gasp, blast chill, etc. I felt like they either didn’t realize that they gave most classes the same skill or they did it as a way to keep all the classes “balanced”

Ey glad to see more love for melee, I use a simple setup but I’m running a heavier focus on Stabbomancer since I’m mainly focusing of DOTs, works extremely well for raid bosses, not as much burst damage potential as this one but it’s more consistent.

I was going about this differently. I have a Melee build based on speed. A buff that boosts damage based on your speed boosts. Not optimal at all, but it was the solution I found through experimenting. Thanks for sharing this. I wouldn't have thought of this.
I am able to shit on chaos 20 with it. But that's no longer the max. I needed some inspiration

I don't understand how I can copy the skill tree, equip my highest damage weapon, all the right enchants and raising my elements damage and yet my blast chill only hits for 16k.

Because he has all God roll items but he acts like anyone can put this together easily which is false. My friend put this together and he's doing crap damage.

I have to say dryl and dragon lord are hell with this build, but mobbing ist most fun with it.
I feel like console versions dont trigger those blast chills and blast grasps as much as they do on pc. Moxsy and Joltz always seem so op with it and when i mimic it, its just "ok".

Seems like Stabbomancer is the go-to choice if you want to focus on one character only. Works well with so many other classes and builds!
Always thought shadow + brrzerker had high melee potential but this is beyond what I expected. Also pincushion can work for 2rd melee option since pairs well with the anvil because it does 15% weapon damage when you hit the enemy with cross bolts. Goes well 3% melee damage cross bolts and I think it also stacks.

Just tried this build, its awesome. Only thing that sucks is the raid bosses hit boxes, couldnt get a kill on any of them because i kept sliding off or hitting them but doing 0 damage. Anyways thanks for the build Joltz!
Just place Ghost Blade inside them and they will melt.

I've been working on the same build! Only problem I was running into was getting the right stat bonuses on the gear. But I'm glad to know my thinking was on the right track! Gives me an idea for a graveborn/brrzerker combo 🤔
dude idk what's wrong with my build but I have everything just not perfect rolls. I can barley even do a chaos chamber with this. what am I doing wrong
I literally downloaded his save and its not even close to the same
one of the only thing they have to do to make melee brrzerker viable against everything is just had a small AOE to dreadwind that looks like a tornado so it can hit flying enemies while passing under them (doing your melee dmg) and hit bosses while staying close but not necessarily right on top of them.
that would help doing constant dmg to whatever you are facing and not shouting a big fuck every time you see flying mobs.
For survivability, you could also mob with the melee weapon Fatebreaker. It restores your ward so if you have trouble surviving sometimes it's nice. Don't boss with it tho just use the Wailing Banshee
If you roll Vampire on any of the weapons they will heal you well. I don't need that for this build since no one attacks me while I chain From the Shadows.
So my friend has put this together and hes not doing anywhere near the damage you are doing. He can barely kill skeletons on chaos 20. What's he missing? Tips?

Idk y’all I made this 3 days ago and it slaps everything but bosses, although I don’t have the meelee masher
Try respeccing into Alchemical Agent, trust me it’s much more consistent than Blast Chill and speccing into Executioner’s Blade allows your guns to occasionally proc ethereal blade that do melee damage allowing you to deal with bosses you can’t melee
As someone who already has a stabbo zerker build I am immediately converting to this considering I have all the necessary parts.
Have you considered using the pincushion of mirth with the melee crossbows?
Pincushion amplifies damage for stuck bolts, and makes for a pretty neat combo.
I've played with a bunch of Melee builds trying to tweek it, got it right, nerf happened ... found this build and it's a lot of fun. Gearbox, please don't nerf this one.
bro everytime I try to use even your save file it doesn’t work bro. I get 1 shot and clapped by raid bosses or my swing does not hit

I think trading the new spell Tidebreaker for arcane bolt was an awesome choice for me. it has a fast recharge rate just like the arcane bolt plus adds soaked to enemies to making them take 150% damage from frost and lighting damage.
Cd it's to long, that Arcane bolt has a 5 second cd. Tidebreaker is about 15
@@barcharmc6216 mine only takes about 8-10 seconds to recharge but the enchantment states it last for a moderate duration. So it’s not like you have to spam a 5 second cd spell to get good use out of the enchant. Plus the “50%” extra damage to frost and lighting feels good on the soul. In the end though it doesn’t really matter. I one shot enemies with whichever spell I use so to each their own. ☺️
I get what your saying, I think the short cd spell is used to get your action skill back up faster. Just depends on your play style. I need that new classmod cape of tides pretty bad for a dreadwind set up.
@@barcharmc6216 yeah. I got a tidebreaker that has 3 cast on it today so it kind of balances it out with bolts quick cd to get my ability back faster
When someone going to put out a class build worksheet like diablo/wow/bo2 etc? That said, I'm loving this so far, lots of fun and feels really good to be able to switch around action skills to what you feel like at the time.

@@thisnamesucks1197 Actually, a lot more weapons can be used than you think. If you wanna talk about no diversity then look at bl2 endgame gear.bl3 gets endgame hate for gear when bl2 is so much worse when it comes to freedom in endgame.
Not sure if anyone asked this. But, if you're wearing the Paradigm Armor with the stats like you've got (Melee/Ability is 50% of Spell Damage) - would it possibly be more beneficial to dump into Spell Damage stats instead of Melee Damage for Rings, Amulet, and Enchantments?

it doesnt seem liek ghost blade procs any melee effects anymore, like blast chill. Is this something that got changed a while back? I would like nothing more than to be able to proc blast chill on my ghostblade

I'm only pointing this out Incase people didn't know but if you have multiple enchantments procing off on spell cast only one will go. They don't stack
Hey Joltz awesome build as always! Would you consider adding the tooth side quest sniper that gives you 45% more melee damage against enemies?
It isn't worth it. I can spam my masher with 11 shots so 55 bolts give me 165% bonus melee damage.
I don't have the full build yet, but I'm having trouble fighting bosses with this setup... I only have a (non-elemental) Wailing Banshee and the Live Wire.
Not the best enchants either... Still: any tips?

I really don’t understand. I’ve farmed for nearly the exact same setup and my blast chill is only hitting for 30-40k. Even while buffmiester and from the shadows is active. Anyone having similar problems or have any tips??

i was running this build recently. something similar to this. i took gain increased damage per movement and took iron squall. I also ran the snake sticks cuz they apply melee damage
Is the extra point in blast chill needed? I have the same set up but not the extra point and I’m not dealing nearly as much damage to bosses

You can roll echo on the banshee to hit even harder with your melee attacks also
Thought about that but it resets with every melee attack so Im thinking in a melee build it will never stack up enough to matter

How do you get this build to work on Dryll? I've failed him 3 times on my dungeon runs and it's getting really annoying. He seems to take very little damage from the ghost blade and the water kills too fast for dreadwind
I’m running into a similar issue where blast chill doesn’t seem to proc well thru ghost blade anymore and I also can’t get the damage thru on bunnidhogg or barkenstein on dreadwind
Is stabbo necessary? I have a spellshot and a paradigm that takes from spell dmg and has high thread count. Would that work as well? I really cant be bothered running the campaign again lol.

He barely has any, it would be more ideal to use one that boosts ability damage by 50% of melee damage, since Blast Chill scales off of ability damage you’d get better damage from it.
how many points u got in middle top skill on Brr Zerker outwith your boost from gear? trying to work it out :)

Just out of curiosity, what does your loot luck have to be to get Banshee to drop the Wailing Banshee? Mine is sitting 20k. I have been farming that boss for way longer than I'm willing to admit and she refuses to drop that weapon. I tried the barf bunnies but no luck there. I have no issues getting the rest of the bosses to drop their dedicated drops, but Banshee ain't playing.
What is the interaction with ghost blade and the twin souls cuz im seeing ghost blade doing less damage then it should ?
Can I get the same build if I were to start with stabbomancer or do I end up having to put more skill points into the Stabbo skill tree?
Hey Joltz, I've remember seeing a Red Text weapon from the Cash 4 Teeth quest, that I think might be slightly better than your pistol for bonus damage taken (maybe not for fire rate though). I cannot however find an actual image of the sniper online to prove my point, and I foolishly sold mine.

I'm currently working in an elemental build with claw / stabbo. I hope it does well. It's kicking ass around lvl 30 so far

how tf are you even able to hurt the raid boss? I can't seem to be able to do melees to it. either hit doesn't register or i just bounce away or get knocked down and have the build almost identical
i really would like to see a support build. ive been playing with a full squad doing chaos chambers and i always run the reviver because spellshot ambihextrous. but i would love to see what you'd do for a support style build.
The skill above play the angles in spore warden tree when you do ability damage that enemy gets bonus damage works for every teammate that + agro relief from mushroom would be pretty good

I personally leveled Brrzerker first Shouldn’t really matter since you can’t have the whole bill till you’re 40 and you can respec whenever Do whichever play style you like Best
