im a bit proud coz i've learned the 5x5 solve about one week ago, and i use this tech:advanced centers, advance edge pairing(freeslice),last 4 edges(flipping algo), and in the 3x3 stage i use the fridrich f2l method:)

2:30 You could just do two slice-flip-slice and you would solve to edges. I think it worked

So wait - Because for cycles during L4E, we need to E-slice because 2 of the 4 edges are on top/U-layer. And for F8E we also E-slice (at least he does). So why does he start L4E holding the cube sideways (as if for M-slicing)?
