Although there are people that have it worse that does not mean you cannot be upset about your struggles. You're so so strong Amy!! You've gone through so so much shit so you deserve to feel fabulous on your birthday. I hope it goes really well and I absolutely love your dress!!!! xx
I totally understand how you feel about having your tube for major events. I turned 18, I went to prom, and I graduated high school all with an NJ tube in my nose. It sucked really bad. But in the long run I know it doesn't matter because I need it to stay healthy ish and that is all that matters
Beautiful dress! Amy please don't feel you owe us an apology only you know how you feel. You are a beautiful, strong and brave individual. You are allowed to cry, get mad. You are gorgeous even with the tube. Hope you truly had a wonderful birthday. Sending love from Texas! Love ya ton Amy😘
hey, i'm just going through old videos since no one has posted new videos and i'm obsessed with watching all of yours because you're so inspiring and beautiful. i hope that your birthday was good last year and it sucks how you can take your tube out but it shows that you're constantly fighting and it shows how strong you are. it's not easy going through what you do and that's what inspires me, you seem like you struggle a fair bit because of your illnesses but you still carry on. you're honestly amazing and your dress was beautiful, sometimes having a little cry is what's needed to let all of your emotions out, i cry a lot to let feelings out and its okay to cry. we all can't be strong all of the time even though you handle everything with such a positive outlook. you're such a fighter and are someone who i look up to
I know this was ages ago but hey stop putting yourself down! Your beautiful, your stronger than a lot of people and a hell of a lot stronger than you think!! Sending positive vibes your way❤️
Your family and friends love you for who you are. They don't see the tube, they see the lovely women behind it. At the end of the day, your birthday is just another day. Yes it's a special one but no one should feel like they have to have a 'perfect' birthday or compare it to how other people celebrate theirs. You're allowed to want it to go well and I hope it does! But if it doesn't, then that's okay too. You'll have other good days. Happy birthday gorgeous. Be proud of how hard you've fought to be here today.
Amy sweetheart, you are a human being with feelings and not a mechanical robot, which has no feelings,, of course you are entitled to get upset, you have a lot to cope with, so you go ahead and cry when you want too, xx God bless you xx
I just saw this babe and I just wanted to tell you I totally understand. Not mellow dramatic. It is how you were feeling. I've been sick for the last twenty six years and I've had to learn that you have to allow yourself to feel and let it out. So much of life is affected by chronic illness that healthy people take for granted.... Or just don't think about. And when others situations allow them to "look" normal. It makes it harder. I want to say I'm sorry if anyone made you feel like you needed to apologize for being human . Love to you. BTW I know sucky bdays mine is Christmas Eve and all my life was never really given a bday party until I got married. Now my husband calls it Evie mas. Evie being my nickname lol
Don't let it get you down! Enjoy your day and time and if you want pictures to look back at down the track maybe get someone to photoshop the tube out of it is affecting you this much, don't be sad you look beautiful 💕
First off, let me say that your dress is beautiful. The feeding tube is an important part of your health and yes, it may seem like a burden and a constant reminder of your struggle. This is not something that you need to apologise for though. Your 21st will still be great even with the tube. Could you not accessorise with a different dressing, if you aren't happy with the way it looks? You can overcome anything if you look at it differently. I spent half of my 21st in my pyjamas and the other half in hospital after an allergic reaction. I remember thinking that even with the health failure I still appreciated what I could do. I got to spend time with 1 family member, as the others were away on holiday. Chronic Illnesses make you look at the world through different eyes. Have a fab birthday and keep fighting.
Firstly, happy birthday! You should be so proud of yourself for coming so far. You have been through a lot. I know it's easier sId than done, but try and think of your tube in a positive light, it's keeping you alive and helping you get stronger. I know it's hard. I didn't have mine for as long as you and I went through so,etching similar emotionally about being seen in pictures with mine. But you're going to look gorgeous regardless. I wish I had so,erring to say that could make you feel better :(
So I kinda came across this from one of your other videos. Can I just say you look so beautiful and I honestly don't see the tube! I see you beautiful eyes and that smile! and you looked stunning in that dress!! xx
Never apologize for feeling sad and overwhelmed, yes people are going through much worse but also people are going through much better! Plus it doesn't matter, suffering is suffering and no matter who you are and what you suffer, it sucks. You are beautiful and amazing and a tube on your face doesn't change that. Anything that has the power to restore your life could never be anything but glamorous ❤️ do me if you ever need to talk lovely
To begin with, you look absolutely gorgeous in that dress !! It is so beautiful and elegant ! Love it so much ! Secondly, I know having NJ tube is not the most glamorous thing in the world, don't apologize, you have the right to be upset even cry about it, you want everything to be perfect, but please remember this is not what life is about, what matters is that you're still gonna enjoy your birthday with your loved ones, and we are in the chronic illness community are still supporting you and loving you! You have no clue how many people LOVE YOU. People you haven't even seen and probably would never have the chance to meet in your life! We'll stand by you always!! Be happy you're kicking chronic illness in the butt and you're thriving and succeeding in life! You honestly look PRETTY even with the tube on!! Don't lit it ruin your day! You have the right to have a melt down about it lol, but then try to forget and don't be so hard on yourself.. You WILL have fun! You'll enjoy tomorrow and everything will be good, try to have that positive mindset.. I'm so happy to see you smiling in the end of the video! Love you much, you inspire me a lot! Stay beautiful, awesome and happy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUN ❤️😍
Everyone here is right, Amy. You are absolutely beautiful in your dress, and your beauty so outshines that tube on your face. We all love you and find inspiration in how little that tube seems to distract from your personality and positive outlook. I was saddened to hear that you are not a Christian, so I'll be praying that you find the real meaning of that cross around your neck, and it isn't "being religious".I love you and pray your birthday will be truly blessed.
Hey beautiful it is totally fine that you feel sad about how your 21st is going and the tube. Hugs, hugs and more hugs. I did wonder though if you wanted me to organise to get some of the pictures you love the most to have your tube taken out of the picture digitally? I know someone who can do that and make you look perfectly normal. In saying that however, I wouldn't want you to do it to all your pictures because you have NOTHING to be ashamed of you are just as beautiful with the tube as without. SO understand that I'm happy to organise the pictures to be altered (it won't cost me anything :) so you don't have to worry about that) and you can leave some normal! That is idea number one. Number 2, your dress is beautiful and you look beautiful in it! For my 21st I had my dress made and I was sooooo disappointed with the dressmaker, I cried and cried and I've never worn it since :(. Then on the day of my party, neither the hairdresser or the makeup artist showed up! Such a mess. Then at the party, I had one of the people meant to do a speech pull out because she couldn't put me before her and *I* had to make it all okay for her etc. It was a week after I'd moved back home (which was a disaster in itself). Number 3. Yeah proms and socials etc are important but people don't understand the significance of a 21st. It really is different to any other birthday that has come before. So you're all important and its OKAY to be upset that its not what you want and not how you'd like it to be. Number 4: You should never feel you have to high the crap you go through hun. You're amazing and positive a lot and I love you for that and I love your smile very much, but to me your tears are just as important and you definitely don't need to be strong all the time okay? It's okay to rant and get frustrated and want better for yourself, I know I want better for you too. I wish i could physically be there with you for your birthday so you didn't have the day alone. But remember no matter what you are special and the day is special and it WILL be as good as you can make it! Glad you had some positive retail therapy :). Often a girls best friend! Thinking of you and love you dearly hunni. So so much. Big hugs xoxoxoxox
What if instead you turned your tube into an accessory? You could stick jewels/rhinestones to it or braid colorful string around it. It may look tacky as hell but it could also look really cool. If you don't feel that the nj is part of your look, make it prettier! Even if this doesn't help you, it won't hurt to try and see how you like it. I hope you have a fantastic birthday where you're able to focus on the fun :)
OMG Amy you are so beautiful i know I don't even notice your tube and that, dress is stunning knock them dead hope you have a fabulous 21at all my love Mary beth!!

Someone is always going to have it worse, BUT your struggle is real and it is a lot to take.

Ps you're allowed to be dramatic and cry, keeping it in will make you feel worse x
And there are people who have no idea what it's like to live like you, or me or others who have chronic illnesses
