I love Ren’s ability to transform pretty much anything and take you on a journey. This mashup was 5 different Fred again EDM tracks and he did it seamlessly. I had only known of the Fred again songs Ren has used in his IG shorts. Jungle is a banger hype track that he molded perfectly into this emotional journey. And the “I’ve been lost for so long. But I’m really trying” really got me, especially as he looked out at the Calgary skyline, so far from home with an inability to do any live performances. Musical genre chameleon … yep. And I think this is going to be an even bigger year for Ren!

It’s been a journey with Ren… but from day one he has brought me back to music in a big way… I was so immersed in the music scene back in my youth but hitting my 40s I had already found most of the music scene to be pretty stale, like we had ran out of things to say and it was just about making generic sound that sound good to the masses but Ren has me back in love with music and has me finding other great artists.
