Even if there is legally season, these fish are dangerously endangered. They take many years to get to spawning age, and killing off the spawning individuals is bad for the population. Just because you can kill fish doesn't mean you always should.

Based on my reading however, sturgeon can typically start spawning once they reach 15, and based on the length/age chart i have used for reference www.rivermenrodandgunclub.com/sturgeon-weightage-chart.html these sturgeon are roughly 14, very close to spawning age, which worries me.
