Fished there forb3nsummers charter deckhanded and commercial for alba ore and salmon. Onndaybsd had 10 onna charter were ba k home by 1140 after limiting out on 3 salmon apiece and the smallest one was 32 lbs. What a king run. Worked a boat with a great friend Bill Cutting on the pearl C he'd bought from his brother Bob. Bull was killed fishing when his boat went down on the Columbia bar in 76. I was suppose to be on that boat but had gone up to washougal with my best friend to our piece of Paradise with a home made cabin. Those were the days. Missed death by just luck..RIP Bill and all those who went down to Davey Jones that evening Broke my heart still think about that good man. Lost a great friend but learned a lot about caring for others and keeping the faith in doing the things we love fishing that is. Live life everyday like you might be the bait but you're catching the jackpot. Saw these guys pass the old cannery use to be painted red not peach. Illwacos a great place. Beautiful. Going backn1 more time if thengood Lord let's me next seazon. Love it all so simple Had my tipi pithed therenfor 1 summer and worked the boats it was great. Love to do it again. You can live cheap d lovely just fishing the coast
Great Video! Flat day out there, don't get much of them! Skate is really good btw. Tastes like scallops. Just two layers of cartilage in the wings..nice triangle cap of meat! Light seasoning with lemon juice and into the pan.
Talked about making sure the rip line was safe to travel over. If you clear it it'll be smooth sailing when you get out of the current. You are responsible for your own safe passage across the bar.

Sea cucumbers are really good but you’re not going to find halibut on rock piles. They’re near shore to spawn, they like sandy bottoms. Just saying

Guys come out to Sacramento, CA. for salmon season. We got the Sacramento, American, and Feather rivers, that is full of salmon and steelhead.
