I'm having done this Wednesday morning. I can only eat until 11am then liquid diet until midnight then nothing swallow capsule at 8:45am Wednesday hook up a data recorder wear it & leave go home. Then at 4pm come back & test is over & capsule ends up in the toilet useless the recorder has 1,000's of high resolution HD video of small intestine. I had a Pet Scan recently diagnosed with rash on legs as Cutetauous TCELL Lymphoma. The good news so far is the Pet Scan didn't show that cancer inside my body as of now. The radiologist reading Pet Scan did comment about it's seen something in my small intestine shows up. The radiologist says decompressed small distal loops which I'd assume isn't normal for say? So we'll see.....I go to the Moffitt Cancer Center for the known cancer soon.
Would you tell us how did it go? How are you feeling today August 2019. Sorry, but I just found this video since I am trying to push to doctors to have this procedure here in Florida. Many thanks for your cooperation.
I had it done today at 9am. The light on the computer pack blinked blue the whole time. I woke up from a nap at home at 5pm & it beeped & was a steady green. Then it went to a yellow light & it blinked a few times & then no lights. I hope that it's okay to take the belt & computer pack off now. It's been 8 hours & because the pack isn't blinking I think that it is done. I'm bringing the pack ,& belt back to my Dr.s office @8am tomorrow. I probably won't get results for 2 weeks they said. We're trying to find out why I'm so Anemic. They were trying to see if I was losing blood or bleeding in my small intestines. Do you think it's okay that I removed it? I called the Dr.s ofc but they were closed & I left an answer with their voice mail service. R
Yes, it goes down the esophagus into stomach traveling all the way to your low intestines. Then, it makes way out through colon! Basically, the pill endoscopy looks at all the digestive system!

I have an ileostomy and would have liked more details re using a capsule fro a patieints that doesn't have their bowel.
