- "Keep it simple, stupid." is probably the most sage advice one can give. What started off as a, "I want to make this as complicated as possible and barely recognizable as the original blaster" mod turned into something much simpler, cleaner, and more importantly: fun. This simple modification just about anyone can do to a Buzzbee Doubleshot is a fun way to get some new life out of an old blaster and practice up on your blaster body modification skills. More importantly: flipping the barrel down and ejecting shells is just too much fun. Dust off your old Double Shot because it's time to bring this mod back.

I love the way this turned out. Got me thinking about my own version...
As for names, the silhouette does give me a bit of a rebelle vibe, and the name "Double Dare" came to mind.

I've been a fan of Evil Dead/Army of Darkness/Ash since like 1994. The intro and clips contained within made me so happy. I'm going to have to second naming it Ashley. The pistol from S4 League looks cool, that would be an awesome look for a Lumante (it is even kinda made like it).
I passed on a Walking Dead Double Shot at a local thrift store yesterday. It wasn't priced and was labeled as non-working, but I figure it was because it lacked shells. If I go back I may have to pick it up.
Side-by-side shotguns are cheaper and more common because they are a bit easier to manufacture and calibrate for accuracy. Many had access to side-by-sides, but over-unders were typically used by the upper crust types for the hunting of upland birds.

My Buzz Bee Double Shots have gotten more tags than any of my blasters. I wreck people in pistol rounds, and have ran one into the ground. Glad to see you love them as much (or more) than I do.
Color scheme is great, and we need to make your hammer release a 3D part. I would buy so many of them. This makes me want to build another one so I can have my pair back for pistol rounds. Well done man.
And this is the reason I am subscribed to Walcom. You're always showing off something I've never even given a second glance, and made something unique and awesome. Great job, and next time I see a double shot at a thrift store I'm picking it up and trying this.

Tbh, the paintjob really screams "Warhammer 40k orks" at me, especially with the checkerboard at the front, I really like it!

I really like the form of it, yes the side by side is so iconic especially at this point in time but the over under form of the sawed off double barrel is sooo good looking and practical for a holster, thanks for sharing this beautiful weapon

How many times did you have to reshoot the intro until you managed to keep your cool and not smile from ear to ear as the shells fly out gloriously like a reborn Phoenix?
A lot, but it wasn't so much the shells flying out that I re-shot but rather getting the damned darts into the blaster smoothly without breaking eye-contact with the camera.

this is awesome, I grew up with a over under. I love those things, if i would have done that, i would have done it with a barrel break, but thats just me. Good to see you are doing body work!

Every time I go to a nerf war, it's filled with the same blasters: modded strifes and rapidstrikes. And while they're effective, and sometimes pretty cool, theu get really boring to play against. It's always cool too see some interesting blasters like this show up, regardless if it's effective or not. It's a breath of fresh air to see such a well known nerfer make something as cool, albeit impractical, as this. 10 outta 10

I needed to come back to this video for my routinely worship of the Double Shot
Over unders are typically used for target and sport shooting, so their use is the opposite of what a sawn off shotgun is used for, so its usual just a matter of intent. A target shooter probably isn’t going to cut down their expensive sport shotgun. Side by sides are pretty cheap and accessible in contrast.

Shell-Spiter would be an appropriate name, since if you are playing in grass you are never seeing most of those shells, also a play on fire-spitter.
The over-under version of this was part of a carnival can shooting game I played once. The blaster was so fun that it was just about the only game I played, regardless of the prizes offered at the other games.
Hey Walcom, I know that there's definitely a lot of Army Of Darkness references on this blaster but a spiritual homage to "Hail to the King baby" could reference your blaster's color and royalty. Namely Prince and one of his best known songs, "Purple Rain" sounds like an appropriate name for your new sidearm. Also you need to hang a Jigglypuff off of the keyring 😂.
Mate! Words of wisdom as ever. I'm trying to build a hammer prime blaster that looks like a colt. But trying to work out where to put the plunger tube is my main issue. But I don't want it to be stupid powerful just as like my last stand sidearm like Brad Pitt's colt in Fury. That's essesially the look I want from it. And I will make it. For all the reasons you said at the beginning of the video ☺

I feel the same way regarding the current modding scene though it's the same thing that happens with every hobby at some point; flywheels made Nerf modding super accessible.
For example: slapping in higher-current/discharge batteries is far less intimidating than removing ARs or any one of the safety locks (jam-makers) on any style of blaster; give a stranger a Stryfe and some IMRs VS a Retaliator + hand tools and an upgrade spring, and I'd be willing to bet money that you'd be hearing flywheels rev before any pump-action priming. Though anecdotal, I feel like more people tend to find upgrading motors, batteries, and wiring far less intimidating than what I like to call "plastic surgery".
Like you, I've a billion Nerf projects slowly coalescing and coming together. We'll get there, and we'll get to shoot each other eventually! :D

A while ago we figured out, that the bottleneck of those buzzbee blasters wasn't necessarily the small plungers, but the terrible dartfit in the shells. You should try to 3dprint some.

LOL that dog you showed at 1:01 - So, Back in highschool I lived in a town named Armstrong.
On my block was this dog that wouldnt STFU barking every single night. Exact type of dog in the picture. Myself, and others went to their door, knocked and asked if they could do something about the barking or let the dog inside at night. The people where extreme assholes about it and got all rude to everyone. 2 weeks later after it barking EVERY SINGLE night, my friend goes over there with a golf club and beat it do death. It got in the newspaper, and the town donated money to them to get another dog. Next night he killed that one too... yeah, those people moved away....
moral of the story, don't be an asshole when lots of people telling you to get your dog to stfu

for some reason women's names for shotguns speak to me and idk why but this screams Margret at me. I had an idea of trying to replace the plunger tube in there with a nightfinder but the handle wouldn't have been able to close without serious modification. if you find a way to get better ranges out of it and get some sick tags from it, DOOMSTICK

When you put shells in and spin it it shuts the barrel. You can do this when its primed for a badass spin reload shot
