the entire country that this character is bring from is a Music-Magic focus German, there lot of reference toward classical music and musician. their previous king "the Witch King" can use song to cause mass horrifying effect on massive battlefield.

I feel that when you leave a room for each instrument and let the other fill in the background aka don’t cram the sound in every frequency in at the same time, it create such a clarity and make music really shine.

I agree with not being fan of the drums. But dang is this a moody song and beginning is amazing to listen to. Not to mention that the singer performs good. One of my favourites from Arknights. Another what I can recommend from Arknights (if you like moody songs and russian singing) is Прощание, Hellagur's theme and Requiem.
