Dave and I both thought this was amazing. Dave recognizes 3 out of the 6 right away, with a nagging feeling that he absolutely knows who the incredibly photogenic guitar player is too.
I think if is looking for someone to fill in as a guitarist, they should look no further than Mr. Hoekstra. My goodness, that man is straight fire on guitar. What say you @TheRealMusicObserver ?

Wow. Did I enjoy that! Great cover! I was college bartender when Boston's first album came out. Our jukebox had every one of the Boston 45s on it. I'd close the place at night and come in the next morning to clean up, and I always found enough quarters on the floor to play them all. I'd start with this one, which was only the 'Long time' part on the 45. 'Foreplay' was the B-side to 'Peace of Mind'. I'd be all alone air-guitaring with a mop and singing along with Brad Delp. I loved all the hits, but my favorite song on the album was (and still is) Something About You. Thanks a ton for that rush of memory today.

Great reaction, Dave & Shecky! I agree with Dave in that I also think I like this version better than the original. It's fascinating just how many musicians & musical genres that Dave is able to identify. He's a modern-day music historian!

@@samechick Yes, he has eyes that stare straight into your soul… being such a rocker chick and the guitar being my favorite instrument, I was jamming the whole show, playing air guitar, etc… he saw how much I was enjoying his playing and gave me a lot of attention… 😳 I kept giving him the ‘horns up’ the whole show 🤘🏻🤘🏻 and I was shocked when he came down and handed me his pick. He’s an AMAZING player… I’ve seen TSO 11 times but that was the first time I scored front row center tickets…. ❤️❤️❤️
@@samechick Not sure if you are familiar with TSO or not, but they do Christmas shows… and Joel’s eyes are as hypnotic IRL as they are in this video for Foreplay/ Long Time. But it was shocking to see him sitting down… LOL as I’m used to seeing him go crazy all over the stage… now I know this is a Christmas song, but there’s a video of him (not mine) but this is how close I was on the front row. At :55 you can see the steps that go down into the audience, that’s where he came down and handed me his pick at the end. He’s sooooooo gorgeous, smiles the whole show, and looks much better standing up playing than sitting down… 😉 Check this out:

I think you didn't recognize Joel Hoekstra because he usually plays a Les Paul.
You should really check out Nancy Wilson, Nuno, and friends playing barracuda. The woman that sings barracuda is phenomenal.
The guy playing the slide is Justin Johnson. He has a RUclips channel and is just a phenomenal picker guitar player.
