She writes these insanely good stories and lyrics where I’m just like... how does someone come up with this? At the same time she writes stuff like “And the tennis court was covered up with some tent like thing” 😂
Nobody 4573 yeah, that opening line really gives the person in the song their character and shows their attitude. Taylor is versatile and knows how to be flexible it blows my mind
I honestly loved that line. It’s the way she starts the song with the word ‘and’ like you’re coming into a story that already exists. And you are, because she says ‘I thought this was going to be one of those things’ in the past tense. We have literally just come across the love story as it’s happening.
Ngl, her explanation of ‘This is me trying’ with mental health struggles made me tear up a little because that’s what the song feels like to me and I’ve experienced that feeling she was attempting to convey. I love her music so much, it’s so evocative!
This is a real album, like the old ones, with a theme and an idea to tell throughout all the songs, hit albums are so bad, the storytelling and the connections within the songs is magical and intriguing, you just want to hear more of this amazing story, surrounded by great quality music and a beautiful voice
The best song in her discography is My Tears Ricochet. The story, the lyrics, and the production are absolutely magnificent. She also wrote it alone. All Too Well is great, but it doesn't compare to MTR. It's so amazing to watch her evolve as a songwriter.
I can listen to her talk about the writing process of her albums all day... Her mind is just... like how can someone be so intelligent ! Her imagination, her ideas, the way she does it all.. I'm soo lucky to be living at the same time as her ❤❤
folklore and evermore were really something, those two were (to me) Taylor's time to shine her creativity and talent as both the singer and writer with the storytelling, messages and vulnerability to the world with the sounds and production that embodies the songs.
Her ability to empathize with different human experiences and write about them so eloquently is amazing. I.e. this is me trying is such a great song for someone struggling with addictions - something she hasn’t experienced but still has ability to understand it and feel for that person. It’s truly beautiful. And epiphany is also such a good example of her empathy.
Your midas touch on the Chevy door. November flush and your flannel cure.....oh god...I love her so much for how beautifully she is articulating her vocabularies .... Champagne problems is my most favourite Taylor song ever after back to December 😭❤️ And the way she said that she's having a file of her favourite words...and now I just want to have a look at those words❤️
Taylor swift is a true artist. And when I say this I mean it, cause she knows her art so well, so goes into the depths of her mind to curate something magical. I absolutely feel honoured to be a swiftie.
What strikes me is that not only is she a very talented musician, lyricist, performer but also a deep introspective philosopher. The broken mirrorball person and the societal fascination with that brokenness is a strikingly deep perception.
Musical genius. I cry every time when listening to Mirrorball. It is just so beautiful. August is becoming a close second. Exile has them both beat. Genius.
Taylor deserves all the success she has. It's so rare to find people who love song-writing so much. She's been writing about all the things she feels, every little emotion that is confusing or hard to process. Tim McGraw, Fifteen, White Horse, Don't You, Enchanted, Mean, Innocent, Long Live, Sparks Fly, Dear John, Back To December, The Moment I Knew, All Too Well, Treacherous, Red, I Almost Do, Clean, New Romanctics, Welcome To New York, Wildest Dreams, Blank Space, Out of the Woods, You're in Love, Delicate, Call It What You Want, New Year's Day, King Of My Heart, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, Lover, The Man, The Archer, Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince, False God, Cornelia Street, Death By A Thousands, Soon You'll Get Better, Afterglow, Daylight, Cardigan, Exile, My Tears Ricochet, This is me Trying, Hoax, the Lakes, Mirrorball, August, Seven, Champagne Problems, Tolerate It, Tis The Damn Season, Epiphany, Marjorie, Coney Island, Ivy, Evermore, Right Where You Left Me, Time to Go, Cowboy Like Me, Only the Young, Beautiful Ghosts, Ronan, Better Man. I think these songs are the best she's ever written.

Writing a song about the Lake District really is the most relatable thing she's ever done. I've been there once and if I had any musical capabilities I too would write a song about the Lake District
I still can't get over Folklore, it is a masterpiece. I absolutely loved what she did with the entire album. Cardigan, Betty, August, oh my god. She gave us Pov's from the characters and helped us feel with them.
I've watched this three times. It's so good. Taylor is a lyrical genius. Folklore and Evermore are brilliant! They showcase her maturity, in every way. I am so in love with both albums. ❤
14:58 It just hit me, the way her dyed Lover Era hair color was fading, and she let it wash away naturally. I don't even know, it feels like a transition. Moving on from everything that should've been last year and never got to happen.
I wrote this song right after I found out all my shows were canceled and it’s like, ‘I’m still on my tightrope, I’m still trying everything to get you laughing at me’, so it’s like, I realize here I am, writing all this music still trying. And I know I have this excuse to sit back and not do something, but I’m not and I can’t, and I don’t know why that is. -- Taylor on Mirrorball. i cannot, huhu this girl.
I think I have watched this video a few hundred times, her process in doing music show me so much passion and brings me so much comfort for some reason.
Folklore and evermore are literally unreal and every time i need to escape the real world i just listen to them. It is like this moonlit, gloomy, magical and peaceful universe that lives in taylors and everyone of us minds. It is just so healing to walk trough the woods while listening to peace or happiness or cowboy like me and imaginig you are a betrayed victorian woman trying to get over her anger and find peace. I looooove it!!!! Like there are millions of stories and within every single one of them is so much grief but if you find the peace, if you find the moonlit field or the rainy forest, you will be okay. And you will find it, and those albums are there to help you to escape, when it gets too hard
so basically Folklore and Evermore are advanced versions of Vivaldi's 4 Seasons.. I have heard Paul McCartney say that "rock is the classical music of today" ...wow...Just wow
I thought that was film music. Danny Elfman says that film music is way different from classical music though. Most classical music written nowadays is abstract and unlistenable except to a very niche audience.

@@Cat-oj5oj
And ending it with "Forever is the sweetest con / I had some tricks up my sleeves"?? Genius level songwriting
I really really wants her to write a book. She's a storytelling at heart, and way more mature than many other artists.
She’s in Springsteen/McCartney territory now.
the multiple meanings of “haven’t met the new me yet” is like GENIUS
Ngl, her explanation of ‘This is me trying’ with mental health struggles made me tear up a little because that’s what the song feels like to me and I’ve experienced that feeling she was attempting to convey. I love her music so much, it’s so evocative!
She’s so articulate and truly a creative genius.
"They hang there and every time they break it entertains us."
DAMN
I can listen to her talk about the writing process of her albums all day...
Her mind is just... like how can someone be so intelligent ! Her imagination, her ideas, the way she does it all.. I'm soo lucky to be living at the same time as her ❤❤
her songs capture emotion so well 😭
that thing she said about the saving words and phrases and her process... girl, I get the chaos. THE POWER MY NOTES HOLD. oml
That's the reason why she is the Artist of the Decade !!!
I wish she would never stop working with Aaron and Jack
folklore and evermore were really something, those two were (to me) Taylor's time to shine her creativity and talent as both the singer and writer with the storytelling, messages and vulnerability to the world with the sounds and production that embodies the songs.
Her ability to empathize with different human experiences and write about them so eloquently is amazing. I.e. this is me trying is such a great song for someone struggling with addictions - something she hasn’t experienced but still has ability to understand it and feel for that person. It’s truly beautiful. And epiphany is also such a good example of her empathy.
i dont know why i cried, ts has been my childhood idol, i just love this woman with all my life
Your midas touch on the Chevy door. November flush and your flannel cure.....oh god...I love her so much for how beautifully she is articulating her vocabularies .... Champagne problems is my most favourite Taylor song ever after back to December 😭❤️ And the way she said that she's having a file of her favourite words...and now I just want to have a look at those words❤️
same!!! 🥰
Taylor swift is a true artist. And when I say this I mean it, cause she knows her art so well, so goes into the depths of her mind to curate something magical. I absolutely feel honoured to be a swiftie.
Taylor Swift is just a next level type human, out of this stratosphere…so interesting and talented
What strikes me is that not only is she a very talented musician, lyricist, performer but also a deep introspective philosopher. The broken mirrorball person and the societal fascination with that brokenness is a strikingly deep perception.
This woman is a genius.
I loved watching Taylor Swift express the how’s, the why’s & the what’s of these records, it was an honest & insightful glimpse.
genuinely, it’s crazy to be able to be alive the same time ts herself is. one day she will be bigger than a “pop artist” or the “music industry” she is going to be so much bigger. ppl know taylor the way they know emily dickinson. her entire being will be a legend.
Those 2 guys that produce qnd do music are genius her music and melodies instruments are amazing
Listening to folklore for the first time felt like finding new parts of myself I didn't know existed
She knows her work so so well. Proud
I lover her sm you don't understand how much folklore speaks to me
I have no words for a master wordsmith. The irony isn’t lost on me.
are we just gonna ignore the fact that "you haven't met the new me yet" lines on happiness mean different things altho literally theyre the same words
yes!! I was just thinking how brilliant that is
Queen. Period.
This is a weird thing to say, but imagine pandemic didn't happen. We wouldn't have two albums from Taylor Swift.
No no you make a point
This is like getting a glimpse of her mastermind

Taylor is so smart and creative. I believe she's the only artist in the music industry who puts a lot of effort in their craft. She deserves all her success and fame. 👏🏻💕
Writing a song about the Lake District really is the most relatable thing she's ever done. I've been there once and if I had any musical capabilities I too would write a song about the Lake District
I swear this woman is an angel on earth. I am so thankful for her
she a queen👑
Not only is her singing voice beautiful but her talking voice is so nice
knowing the meanings behind these songs is even more heart wrenching everytime i listen to them
I still can't get over Folklore, it is a masterpiece. I absolutely loved what she did with the entire album. Cardigan, Betty, August, oh my god. She gave us Pov's from the characters and helped us feel with them.
Honestly I feel like shes pribably the best songwriter
She's so well spoken ❤❤❤
She’s truly a mastermind!
I've watched this three times. It's so good. Taylor is a lyrical genius. Folklore and Evermore are brilliant! They showcase her maturity, in every way. I am so in love with both albums. ❤
I mean, its unbelievable how someone can be that talented in 2021

It just hit me, the way her dyed Lover Era hair color was fading, and she let it wash away naturally. I don't even know, it feels like a transition. Moving on from everything that should've been last year and never got to happen.
She is not just songwriting genius she is also genius about life
She is leaving me speechless every single time !!!
*SHE IS A GODDESS PERIOD!!!!!* ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Great video as usual 😘😘
I wrote this song right after I found out all my shows were canceled and it’s like, ‘I’m still on my tightrope, I’m still trying everything to get you laughing at me’, so it’s like, I realize here I am, writing all this music still trying. And I know I have this excuse to sit back and not do something, but I’m not and I can’t, and I don’t know why that is. -- Taylor on Mirrorball.
i cannot, huhu this girl.
I think I have watched this video a few hundred times, her process in doing music show me so much passion and brings me so much comfort for some reason.
SHE HAS A FOLDER OF FAVOURITE WORDS. THIS WOMAN IS CRAZYYYYYYYY
She is so beautiful and intelligent and charming and elegant and classy and funny and clever and a lyrical genius.
BROOOO THE WAY SHE HAS MADE SOME LYRICS YEARS AGO IS SO IMPRESSIVEEEE. she is literally a walking archive of poetry and stories
@@nuclearcatbaby1131 Right.. like I'm not going to kick back and listen to the John Williams like I would Mozart, Dvorak or Bach
Her voice is so soothing.
