    I don't know if you know how valuable this type of info is for a beginner designer. Helped me improve my process a lot. It actually answered the question that was troubling me the most as a self taught beginner graphic designer: "How the hell do you come up with creative, unique, good looking design that works?" I'm happy to know that it's not about being a creative genius, it's about the iterative process. Lots of communication, lots of research and lots of iterations.

    This is a fantastically knowledgeable video - thank you SO much, guys! I don't know if it's too much to ask, but is there any version of the "Brand Questionnaire" you could share with the rest of us? Even if it's a toned-down pdf-downloadable version? I mean even the snippets of the one you've got in this video are incredibly informative and give us viewers (and I firmly believe I speak for more than just myself!) SO much information and so much to go on. That alone would be a design god-send :) x

      May I just ask, who will decide what kind of packaging it would be (square large box, circle small box) ? and what type(Plastic or paper) ? is it your team or the client? How did you ask them for the size/measurement of the product? Do you have template, sample questionnaire for that? Thanks a lot.

    This video was a real treat! I love being able to see just how many concepts that you came up with in Quick Sprints Stage. Definitely showed me that one of my biggest weaknesses is my efficiency in creating concepts and digging many holes. Something I have to get better at. Thanks for the amazing content as always !

    • @DoGoodWork
      @DoGoodWork  5 лет назад +9

      You nailed it Byron! That is the big game changer for us. We used to do only the amount of concepts that was equal to number we promised to the client. We also then spent too much time and got to invest too early in those concepts. Obviously, many of those concepts would simply miss the mark. Soooooo, sprints allows us to learn just as much as a dialed in concept, except we can generate 10x ideas to play with. Then picking ONLY the most viable and on-target concepts before investing our energy into the details. Keep watching! And thanks for all your feedback buddy!

    So my goal is to one day work in an agency like yours. I'm curious, with projects like this, is the entire team working on the one project collectively? Are you all collectively working on multiple projects at one time? Or do you split into sub teams where half goes to one project half goes to another? I love the collaboration this video shows, it would be really awesome to work in an environment like that. Thanks for the great content!

    • @DoGoodWork
      @DoGoodWork  5 лет назад +9

      Hey Jillie! We work in a lot of fashions. Typically, we almost all participate in the early ideation/concepts and then narrow the team as we refine the directions. Almost always at least 3 designers at first and then narrow to 1-2 once we have a sign-off on a clear direction. We also are able to swap projects with any team member we begin to apply to various touchpoints or production.

    Fantastic! Your job and effort and professionbality is stunning :) I´m an architect and I´m thinking how to implement the "brand design" process and methods into residential, family houses or dwelling in general. I believe that everything starts from need and emotions, like you did. I used to start as well with moodboards (material, feelings and brief). Then go down to drawings, understand proportions and spaces, draft 1 - 2 - 3 options and so on. I believe I can learn a lot merging the brand design´s world with families housing. I would love to hear from you and from your community :)

      Hey Eddy! Yea, the frankenstein is a game changer for us. I used to spend days (not hours) coming up with concepts. I later found that by doing quick sprints we can generate more option/opportunities to learn from. Plus, it should only be about the high level concept/look/feel in this early stage. It also frees up interesting visuals you would have never otherwise been able to concieve. Trust the process. :) Until next time!
