Major mistake, listening to your doctor and not insisting on mammogram that day . If you knew you had Braca-1, why???? I’m retired from a. Breast cancer center. Things like this make us crazy, especially in young woman. I lift you up and pray you can surmount this challenge 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I can;t believe that they were so lackadaisical with you having a known BRCA mutation. Unfortunately you were at an 80% risk of breast cancer and especially triple negative.
In Caucasian women, my research indicates that only 10-15% of triple-negative breast cancers are in Brca1 mutated women. (In Black women, 25-30% of triple negative BC is in Brca1 mutated women.). Brca-1 mutations increase a woman's risk of some type of highly aggressive ductal carcinoma, not necessarily triple negative, by 80%. The Brca 1 mutation also increase a woman's ovarian cancer risk, by 55%. If I were this young woman, I think I'd have surgery to remove my ovaries, fallopian tubes,, and uterus, as a prevention against further cancers.
@@anglophils645 BRCA1 is overrepresented in triple negative breast cancer. This is illustrated if think of how few women allegedly have BRCA1 (1 in 400) that small group can represent 10-15% or higher of those with TNBC. Absent a known mutation, just having TNBC is enough of a red flag to merit genetic testing. Invasive ductal carcinoma risk (whether TNBC or hormone expressed) is up to 80%. I mostly agree with the comments on OC and the recommendation is to remove at least her ovaries and fallopian tubes by age 40, or after completion of childbearing. Definitely a discussion is merited on the benefits and risks of a hysterectomy and some may join a clinical trial for removal of fallopian tubes only.
My thoughts exactly - how on earth was a new mother left with a tumour growing from marble to golfball size and nobody is shouting for action?? Doesn't make any sense especially with her predisposition to cancer. Just too upsetting.
@@katytaylor681 outrageous totally agree ...well you know what it is it's public healthcare or whatever they call it it's not private insurance not that that's always great either
I can’t believe her Doctor didn’t do an immediate biopsy when the lump was first found. Shocking really but not surprising. A BRACA positive woman, just being ignored. Such a shame.

Thanks, never heard of this, maybe in the States this term is more used than in Europe it is rather confusing, because negative in medical terms is good news! But thanks anyhow
Triple Negative is basically the worst form of breast cancer. Very aggressive and very high risk of it metastasizing. For instance I had estrogen positive breast cancer. This means my cancer is estrogen fed so they could shut off my estrogen and hopefully keep it from returning. When your cancer is negative to hormones, it’s much harder to treat.
triple negative means that the cancer does not have hormone receptors, which means that it will not respond to hormone therapy or many conventional treatments. Its also a high grade cancer so its more aggressive.
Sympathies to her family for their loss. Per the godfundme, she passed away. I wonder if she also underwent IVF treatment. Not many folks know or discuss it, fertility MDs included, but IVF has been known to light up very aggressive breast cancer. I realize the BRCA gene was likely the main driver of her demise though. 😢

I am going to recommend three books: “What Does It Take to Get Well” and “I Will Give You Back Your Health Again” both by Dr. Lorraine Day MD. And the book “Life, Cancer, and God” by Paula Black. Both of these authors had end stage breast cancer that they reversed naturally and went on to live long lives with no reoccurrence. God bless this woman on her path to healing and most importantly finding truth.
My wife had breast cancer and she lived well for about eight years using natural treatments. But then she did a tomography, which reactivated her cancer. She started using well-known medical treatments and died within a year. Resist the unfounded statements of the doctors and understand that for a lot of them you are just a case that dies or lives, but for you it is essential to live. Fight calmly. Will be fine.
What if she did? Hundreds of thousands of women (and some men) developed breast cancer before COVID-19 happened. This lovely young mother said that she learned she had the BRCA gene 10 years ago so, unfortunately, she had a dramatically higher chance of developing breast cancer.
Her case unfortunately sounds like a turbo cancer. The mRNA is able to deactivate the genes that keep cancer in check. I am very sorry for your loss. It’s such a tragedy.
@@user-KL6370 Unless you have incontrovertible evidence that there is a direct connection between vaccinations and accelerated tumor growth in cancer patients with the BRCA gene and that this young woman even had the COVID vaccination, it's beyond insensitive to burden a mourning family with these comments. triple negative means that the cancer does not have hormone receptors, which means that it will not respond to hormone therapy or many conventional treatments. Its also a high grade cancer so its more aggressive.

1) estrogen,
2) progesterone, and
