These trucks and suvs last pretty much forever as long as you change the fluids and wash it in the winter and for 1500 trucks doesn’t beat on it or 3rd gear might mysteriously disappear my friend has one of these trucks and I lost count for the transmissions at 6 while I got a 2005 tahoe with the original transmission and 311,000 miles still going strong

I just saw this. Comments 6 to 8 months ago. Gives me confidence that mine will last a long time. 136k miles. 2wd. Crew cab. California valley so no rust. I've spent a few thousand lately on new headliner, sound system and instrument cluster.

Hey dude, how’s your truck holding up? I’m looking for a 1500 right now, i’m not sure what miles i should be looking for

5.3 is a good 4:14 engine as long as you take care of it.
I have a 05 bought it brand new off the lot replaced the transmission but other then that just general maintenance is not bad and I have 160,000 miles on .
    I love these trucks 👍👍

I've always loved these 99-06 models and the LS based engines. My new vehicle has the LT1 but it's manual so there's no AFM. Hopefully it'll last as long as the old 5.3.

Would have been nice to hear it crank up. Other than that, solid review 🤘

If you ever want to get rid of it for a really cheap price, let me know. I’m looking for a truck, I have a car now but reallyyyyyyy need a truck, but with high school, it’s hard to save money quickly because my hours are limited to work. So if you ever want to sell it or something, let me know

Probably not. You could get a 2014 for a few more G's.
