Battlefield 3 is a 2011 first-person shooter video game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is a direct sequel to 2005's Battlefield 2.
In Battlefield 3's campaign, players take on the personas of several military roles: a U.S. Marine, an F/A-18F Super Hornet weapon systems officer, an M1A2 Abrams tank operator, and a Spetsnaz GRU operative. The campaign takes place in various locations and follows the stories of two characters, Henry Blackburn and Dimitri Mayakovsky.

BF3 was peak BF.
Yes it was! The missions were more intense compared to bf4
@@TheMachoPixel they cared about their games back then.
I do not understand how we can go from such a juicy story and gameplay of Battlefield 3 to where we are now
DEI political activism within the gaming industry (all entertainment and most corporate environments now) is rotting these companies from the inside
More than 90% of the staff who worked on BF3/BF4 and others left DICE a while ago, unfortunately ...
This game was well ahead of its time. The gameplay and storyline can hold it's own compared to games we have out today.
If youve never read it i highly recomend the bf3 novel it gives alot of extra details of the campaign
There's a novel??
@@DutchdaveTanktastic Yes, I believe it was written by Andy McNabb, it helps flush out the last mission where Blackburn makes a deal with the Russians and was pretty good but its been over 10 years since I've read it.
Bf3 and bf4 were the best multiplayer games of my childhood alongside bo2 and halo reach
They dont make games like that anymore.
2004 to 2014 was the greatest time in gaming history.
i literally only play games from that era.
Some good games came afterwards, but not in such high proximity to each other.
Remember when u go into the computer store and u cant decide which game u want, because all are just awesome and revolutionary?
San Andreas and GTA4, Resident Evil 4 (2005) HD, Fifa Street, Star Wars Battlefront, Metro, Fallout NV, Skyrim, Bioshock, God of War, Dantes inferno, Dead Space, Witcher,
BF Bad Company and 3, Red Dead Redemption, Injustice, Mortal Combat, Trials Evolution, COD MW2 and Black Ops, Blur, NFS Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, Pro Street and Shift,
Halo 1 and 2, Borderlands, Mirrors Edge, Lego Star Wars, Far Cry 3, Ninja Gaiden... just to name a few.
And this is defenitely not only because of nostalgia... the quality and love that went into games, was defenitely much higher back in the day.
Especially because not everybody had internet access with his console, so they had to make a game that works on release.
There were still updates, but the bugs (most of the time) where not even remotely as bad and extreme as they are today on release.
Also gamers had way higher expactations and didnt let lazy games slip, like today. Especially, when it comes to so called "AAA" games...
I missed this dark/synth soundtrack, Johan Skugge & Jukka Rintamäkki did a great job
those are the smallest ingame subtitles i've ever seen lol
I apologize. It is because of 8k resolution. Perhaps there is a way I can increase the text size :).
The campaign was a mixed bag and the balance was better in BC2, but Battlefield 3 really nailed the audio design.
battlefield 3 was a sad game i never forget that
Real
my goodness and i remember at the time bf3 was considered to have a mediocre story. i still remember each mission vividly
Theres a book about dima and the storyline of battlefield 3 and its Not that bad tbh
A flashback to a time when developers actually cared about what they were doing... 🥲
