      Using jlcpcb is great, but sometimes I etch pcb's myself when I dont want to wait for shipping from china

    That was nice! But are you sure about all those 90º bends on the routes? I’ve always heard that we should use two 45º angles instead of a 90º...

    • @anklabs7504
      @anklabs7504 2 года назад +2

      yes it creates interference when high frequency signals passed through 90 degree turns that's why there use this for making antenna(signals gets radiated from sharp edges)

    You don't have to use Eagle or any such thing. I just use Photoshop. As long as you know the sizes of the parts you're using, it's great.

    I make double sided boards this way. I n order to line it all up, you put 4 mounting holes, one in each corner. Then put the top image on as a mirrored image. Then drill the four holes carefully. Then line up the image for the other side by lining up the mounting holes. Then use parchment paper under the board to protect the image on the top side while you iron on the bottom side. Then etch and if you drilled the holes accurately, it will all be good.

    GreatScott, will u please explain why the 555 can't work with the c1 capacitor 102 (0.001 uF or 1 nF) and less. In my design the potentiometr is 20k and everything seems to work in software simulationbut not IRL. Thank you!

  • @AlemElectronic

    It's much easier to make a pcb in eagle and it looks professional then using the old method with a marker and drawing.

  • @boblewis5558
    @boblewis5558 4 года назад +1

    Sadly Eagle is pretty useless for anything other than really quite small boards - 80cm^2 (4" x 3.2") limit. KiCAD, Easy EDA and others do the same or better job without such ridiculously small limits. Autodesk really ought to re-examine its size policy for hobbyists. Until they do I for one won't be using or recommending their usage.
