using this in 2022 for school and browsing the web since i dont wanna use my gaming pc for school did lots off updates since was running very slow but now is running a lot better can even do some light gaming havent upgraded ram or SSD might get a new laptop later this year thx for the vid a lot better then the other ones i found.

This video was long time ago and I don't have it anymore. Any brand 2.5' SSD wil be ok and any brand 8Gb DDR3 1600mhz SODIMM RAM will be ok.

I'm eventually looking to buy this laptop for my mother. It's with 128GB SSD , I insist that it has an SSD. She's going to use it for MS Word, Excel, browsing in the net. I need it to be fast enough, not to struggle with such simple tasks. Her current laptop is with a very old AMD CPU , DDR2 ram and an old SATA disk. I hope that it'll have significant improvement, because now she has to wait more than 5 seconds when starting Chrome for a first time for example. Do you think that it'll be a good upgrade for her and fast enough?
Yes, definitely! It's plenty fast for normal tasks with the SSD. Certainly a lot better than the old laptop. Go for it 👍

1.29 is the used RAM in that moment, not the usable RAM. And second question, just buy some RAM. GL

I have this laptop, my first toughts were really bad, But then i did some tweaking with some sofware and it's extually pretty good. Everything on this laptop is okay. You can't game but instead use office, internet browsing etc. They said you can't edit photo's on this laptop, but i'm using Gimp 2 with no issues!

Jeh Angir I would go for a HP with at least an i5 processor and at least 8Gb RAM. Doesn't need to have a dedicated graphics card as the Intel HD onboard graphics is pretty capable of the task.

Cheapest laptop from lenovo. Dropped from like 6 cm,made a giant crack on the hinge and now it dosent boot up.
All that from only a 6cm drop? I thought it would be stronger than that..

The speaker is the worst i heard in a laptop,it was very slow due to the hard drive,and even for a celeron ,it would still get very hot. The weird thing was that the fan was blowing cold air,not warm to hot hair. The charging plug broke after 2 months of use and the battery would only last 1-1.2 hours. The screen is laughable. Cheap "chin mei" display.

Honestly you can't really because these laptops are crap. It's a marketing trick, the processsors (intel celeron and pentium) are utterly shite, they perform worse than some 10 year old laptop processors. You would be much better of selling the laptop and get a used Lenovo Thinkpad, like a T430 and put an SSD in it. These are generelly cheaper and much better in nearly every possible way.
@@Turborider Any software tricks? I've tried all the usuals like power modes and minimizing the computer for performance which makes the font pixely and I've also installed Razer cortex but nothing helps

@@thehotshot522 Well, there isn't really much you can do to improve the performance. Linux would certainly improve the performance but for gaming this isn't the best option. The only parts that can be upgraded by the end user are the ram and the storage medium. You can't even swap the cpu nor the gpu. As I've already said, the best option would be to sell it and buy a used Lenovo Thinkpad, those are awesome
