This is AMAZING!!! Excellent footage & a really cool soundtrack. Our whole family loves storms. My dad would take us to a higher area on a county road when storms were coming & we’d all sit on the car or in the back of the truck & watch the clouds & lightening, until time to take shelter, of course. Nature’s drive-in, right?! To this day l still take pics of clouds & videos of storms moving in. My husband (not a native Texan) gets so frustrated with me when he’s thinking it’s time to shelter in the bathroom & l’m outside taking pictures. 😂🤷♀️ Thanks for posting! Hitting the share button…
I never comment on the internet but I just want to tell you that what I just saw made me really happy and I appreciate your time for doing this. Happy storm chasing, godspeed.
amazing storm structure. Too few chasers ever puul their pan in and show the whole great , magnificent supercell. I bought two of your DVD's and look forward to watch8ing them. I am A NES storm spotter for 25 years now. Great job!
Thank you for that and all the kind words, it's definitely a passion of mine to get the structure of a storm as well as all aspects! Stay tuned for Vorticity 5!
Thank you once again for the Short sweet film, What i took away with this is that rain comes either before and after storms, not during the mid section, Also lightning tends to be in the center of the storm rather than outside of it, but it can and will strike out side of that. LOVED the shot in the evening / House scene. All those different storm types, its always interesting to watch in time speed, and see all the ways air does what it does best. Thank you again for sharing.
I watch your films at .5 speed in order to see more details and STILL, I must watch each multiple times as I cannot get enough of the magic! I am overwhelmed by how many reactions and emotions well up in the course of viewing them... THANK YOU (and those who support you) for the incredible dedication in bringing such amazing scenery to us! This artwork is nearly as timeless as the weather itself-
Un-freakin-real!!! I've done enough time lapse to know how much patience this takes. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing work! And yes, thank you to your wife and family for being so supportive of it. 🙏
Those nighttime shots are absolutely insane. Holy crap storms look incredible at night. I got goose bumps and little teary eyed at the shot at 8:30 WOW!!!
Exquisite, stunning, magnificent, and beautiful. Somehow you show the feelings and spirit of these storms visually where words aren't enough. ATB to you Mike!
Jaw dropping...literally, seems to be a consensus. Also dizzying literally. I love weather and feel like I get an intimate look at this other world in the skies through your Vorticity videos. Thank you Mike! 9:38 to 9:40 my favorite--starlight, moonlight, lightning, spinning clouds, and sunset
You have truly outdone yourself with this one. The music and your editing (nevermind your photography/timelapse skills!) meld into an incredible whole. Wow.
This is amazing! Best time lapse compilation yet! And the music!!!! Incredible! Now, I have to go watch on the computer because I know this phone doesn’t do it ANY justice. Thank you!
I can't even begin to imagine all the time and work that goes into your productions. Not only taking the footage but being in the right place at the right time; then looking at it all, choosing, editing. But the result is so incredible and so worth it.
AWESOME !!! I love your videos, the storm season begins here and I'm going to make some time lapse videos with my cell phone (I don't have a good camera) Thank you very much for sharing your work. Greetings from Mendoza - Argentina.
Wow Mike you've done it again! Had to go back and watch it 2 more times! The time-lapse with the scores of music you and Peter choose is like Hanz Zimmer quality. Ugh I can't wait for the next Monsoon! Job well done.
I say it every time I watch one of your movies... but especially this one... I simply cannot believe what you were able to capture and compose into this stunning masterpiece. Incredibly incredible. Not enough superlatives in the universe to describe this. So proud to be a sponsor. Truly blown away... again. Thanks, Mike; worth every minute of the wait. And thank Peter for me, too... perfect soundtrack.
Absolutely amazing film. The drama of weather, through colour, scale and enhanced by music - touch of Bladerunner (which I love). Stunning. Thank you - worth all the miles and hours.
Whooooooaaaaaaaaaa !!!! Mike mate that’s fricken insane. We just watched that on the LG OLED & that was something special. Love your work mate. Congratulations & well done 👍🏼
So inspirational.. thankful to you and a few others , I’m putting together an amateur time lapse of little clips I’ve captured .. it’s not this good but I’m so happy to try and capture some beauty.. and I want to share it … thank you for your amazing time lapse..
Will have to replay it again as I know I missed some stuff. The movement of the clouds just memorized me. at 5:15 wow. That went by so fast, can we slow it down a little more lol Great work Mike, Peter for the music and off I go to enjoy again. Take care.
Wow, Just WOW!!! Mike you killed this one! So many great rotational storms! Do you ever fear getting sucked up by one of these storms? Or do you always know which way they are going to head?
That is hands down the best storm photography i have ever seen, I give up! Nothing will top that, even up in Darwin Australia you dont get those cloud formations.
Dude, so amazing... I can't believe that was 10 minutes long, it went by so quick because I was in a trance. I'm assuming the music was written for this specifically because it was perfect.
Another masterpiece. That microburst was a fitting end. Saw a side view made the final cut as well. Just watching this I realized I couldn't ever do it because if I saw 9:18 coming at me I'd most likely die waiting too long to get out of the way.
That was incredible! You've inspired my music creation and my first steps in exploring the world of time-lapse photography. I'm always excited whenever I learn that you've created a new major project, Mike. I wish that RUclips had a function to loop segments of videos because the clouds evolve at different rates at different heights and I know that I'm missing more than I'm witnessing if I focus on one part of each scene. Perhaps you have enough clout to effectively recommend that function.
Every frame is wallpaper.. ❤
This should be one of the most watched videos on RUclips. Simply incredible.
this is worth every single second of watching. wow just wow

That's so cool, kinda how I learned to love storms, from watching them with my dad!
I am hypnotized. Especially good music this time.
I never comment on the internet but I just want to tell you that what I just saw made me really happy and I appreciate your time for doing this. Happy storm chasing, godspeed.
Best structure of storms you have shot! Every year you outdo the year before!
Always fascinating, intriguing, and dramatic awesome.
Thanks for all of the long hours and work. Another amazing production. WOW
If this looks so good on youtube, this must look life changing uncompressed.
This is magnificent. Absolutely magnificent. A triumph!
Fascinating video. Great job of marrying the video to the audio.
Glad you enjoyed that part!
This film is absolutely beautiful, gorgeous and amazing. I think you should get an award for this gorgeous film 😍 Thank you Mike so much for sharing
