      @@OverTheHillAdventures - Yes, there is so much to see in our great country. I traveled quite a bit for my job when I was younger. When I met and married Dottie, she hadn't traveled very much; her folks were home-bodies. We traveled all across this country together and she now has that same spirit of adventure I have. Y'all need to go visit the UP of Michigan sometime after visiting your kids out east. It's an incredibly pretty place. Go up through the Lower Peninsula across the "Mighty Mac" (Mackinac Bridge). Recommend places like Holland and Traverse City. Strongly recommend you plan ahead carefully and get your RV Park/State Park (if you prefer dry camping) reservations starting in January. Most places don't open until late May, though. August/September is the best time: biting flies are pretty much gone though mosquitoes can be troublesome at times.
      Looking forward to your next video with the Grand Design factory tour. Safe travels, you two and God Bless Y'all!
      Bob and Dottie

    The restaurant and bakery looked absolutely amazing. We’ve been through that area, and loved it. We Harvest Hosted at the RV hall of fame. We love the tours and have done the airstream tour in Ohio.

    Stan thanks for posting another great video. When I saw the posting date I was gonna give you kudos for cycling in the sweat pit known as the midwest. However, I read further and saw that you were there in April. We just made a cross country trip in June up to Vermont, back to Ohio, Indiana and Mich in our Imagine. About the middle of June the humidity really brought us down. We are westerners. Perhaps we will make Quartize and catch up with you guys in person,

      Hey Guys, that would be great. The Grand Design Rally in Quartzsite is sold out. Get on the waiting list. I’m sure you will get in. The weather was actually perfect when we did that ride. Then got super cold. Strange weather back east. I will stick with the weather out here. I sure hope you can make the rally. Safe travels. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda

    Awesome video! That KOA is about 2 miles from our home. We are near Stone Lake if you saw that sign off of SR 13 heading north. Brielle was our neighbor before we moved out to the country. Her mom was our home nurse after we had our son. They are an amazing family! Too bad you didn’t get to sit in the buggy at the Essenhaus, that’s a favorite for our family. Hopefully you visited the bakery too!
    So cool to see our hometown thru someone else’s eyes. Glad you had a great trip and got to experience the area. Thanks for sharing your trip!

Please let her know we got her in the video if you still have her number. We definitely want to go back when the weather is warmer. Thank you for joining us on our adventures. I so enjoyed this! I presently run my own Country/primative shop, so I shop ALOT in, Amish Country, Lancaster PA. Love it, and their food etc! I do have a question for you, what GPS do you use, RV friendly,,as we are new RV owners! Thank you! You both are amazing to watch on your adventures! Thank you!

      Babs, we are so glad you enjoyed this video. We also really enjoyed being in Amish County. Wonderful place to visit. To answer your question, we use Google Maps we feel it is the most up to date. Having said that, we also use Trip Wizard to plan our trips. We put our parameters of our trailer size and height to make sure there are no low bridges. It is very important to know the exact height of your trailer. Google Maps is not perfect so always back it up with Trip Wizard. Hope this helps! Thank you for joining us every week on our adventures. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda

    Loved the video as always!! We are planning a trip to Maine next summer from Atlanta with our camper. Question I have is about how many hours do you all drive a day going long distance? We've driven the trip to Maine several times so I know how long it takes in an SUV, but I've never done it towing a camper. Do you all have a goal of how many hours you like to drive a day? Do you all stop at Wal-mart or other places and just dry camp for the night while on your trip? I bet this would make a great video from you all for us newbies that are planning on long distance camper towing.

    • @OverTheHillAdventures
      @OverTheHillAdventures  2 года назад +1

      JetTech1966, thank you for your comment and questions. We usually plan to drive 4 hours a day. On a rare occasion we may push it to 8 hours with a long break in between. We never stop at a Walmart. I know a lot folks do. However, having been a cop for 27 years it’s just to scary for me. I do have some suggestions, Harvest Hosts for a yearly of $99.00 you can stay at Wineries, Farms, Churches, and Golf Courses. Your only allowed to stay one night. This is all boondocking for the night. This was a safer option for us. I also recently became an Elk a benevolence organization that believes in God and Country and serves the community. They have campgrounds all over the country in almost every city. Just a couple of things to think about. Congratulations on your GD 2023 2800BH! Blessings, Stan and Rhonda
