Imagine Dwarf Fortress with Stoneshard graphics.
love the idea
Boring.
Stoneshard is so good... they said they would start updating more often now that rags to riches is out, heres hoping!
Yeah, Rags to Riches seems to have been the last "fundamental" update, basically preparing the playground for their epic tale. I just hope they focus a bit on the story next, the main story is still neither long nor challenging and right now, you just fight, gear up and level for the sake of it. I wish there was some part of the story that was be so difficult that you'd actively have to level for it and get new skills.
The last time I played this was a year before BG3..... You're right about slow updates
They are impacted by the Ukraine situation, unfortunately.
Just one little tip: Weapons (unless they're really fancy ones from bosses later) are generally some of if not the worst items to pick up for sellung as they use tons of space and sell for a fraction of their price. Like 10% of their worth or sth. Meanwhile, items labeled as miscellaneous or even valuables sell for like 70%. They're also usually quite small meaning they're even more worth keeping. Basically any random stuff you find (except maybe straw, cloth and vegetation) is worth more per inventory space than weapons.
I'll usually still grab the most valuable weapon in a dungeon and store it in my second inventory slot instead of a ranged weapon for selling at the nearest smith, but that's only because that's basically free inventory space for weapons. 😉
I quite love the concept of this game, and played quite a bit of it. My only really big gripe is that with how difficult it is, traveling shouldn't be so tedious. If they somehow moved between a non-turn based movement style when not in danger would really cut down on that struggle, or making campfire and bedroll more accessible so you could save a little more often would be a huge qol update.
The head off bit at 3:02:19 was great! LOL
I bought this game around 10 years ago, yes, they are slow, but they are trying to create a masterpiece, therefore eventhough the speed is not ideal, I know that in the long run we are getting good stuff
yeah, Stoneshard development rate is what you get when you have a development team that loves the game's soul and a QA team that does their job properly. quality takes time.
@@Pilvenuga And also ravaged by war!
A pixel art rpg with epic voice acting.
Nook, use the Alt key to make things on the map appear so you can pick them up easier.
I reinstalled yesterday. I have earned the caravan. Enjoying the updates.
I'm mad at how long it took me to get the "unreliable" joke
I still dont get it
@@yogames6199 It's single use so you can't lay on it again.
great stuff Nook!
Ich like your play here very much 🙂
Love it!
i played this game 5 years ago and still on early access
I've been waiting for this patiently. Unfortunately I'll not have much time to play it until February.
the statue was alive on previous version i think. Thiis looks more doable for some reason.
Looked fun when i tried it but I couldnt finish the tutorial, the boss was so hard -_-
"a little gnome fact" BOOOO!
I'm still waiting for custom characters before I pick this game up. At the rate the devs are going that'll probably be sometime in the early 2030s
Why do "Roguelike" characters always "Jump around" (jump up, jump up, and get down) instead of walking?, it's not like the ascii characters in Rogue jumped around alot.
(Or did they?....)
i imagine it would be due to the rate of movement. if you had full legs animation, the leg movement would either have to look like looney tunes running animation, or the movement speed would be slow enough to feel a hindrance to game enjoyment.
@@Pilvenuga I'm actually watching Nook play shattered pixel dungeon now, and the character is walking there without it looking strange. Also They could have easily had the character "slide" along as well. So I rather think it is a stylistic choice
I want this game on xbox
68% on Steam. Nope.
To be fair, Steam reviews are pretty bogus anyways.
@@TheZennock Not really. The only time I question them is when they are all positive. The negative reviews for this game are all about the overwhelming difficultly it has. Unfortunately, for the devs, they aren't making a big sell since most gamers have lives outside of gaming.
@@croaton07 As you say.
Dennis does not like a challenge. That is ok. Some people prefer Farmville over Dark Souls.
@@davidbeppler3032 - Sure dude...I fully completed Dyson Sphere...but you be you.
This is a great game but unfortunately unplayable... It has no respect for your time and has lack of content so much.
this game is lame without quick save.
Hahahaha.
