@@joints56 i don't know, i think they changed the way they produce music. I'm sure they used sample in their begining and what they do is call turntbalism. But i saw a video in which they used ableton. I think for their last albums they also used virtual or real instrument and then they record their part on vinyl to play live.

Hotline Miami, the film Drive, and Stranger Things where double edge swords because they brought Synthwave, Italo-disco, and other 80s style electronic/indie music to the masses but now everyone equates anything that has a remotely repetitive synth bassline with "Hotline Miami" style music which is just Synthwave/Retrowave but everyone acts like the game started they genre or something
