    Firstly, I'm very glad this was a happy story. Secondly, I saw the title and realized how long it's been since we've heard from you, and was so worried about your health, thinking you were the one to have a heart attack...I'm very happy that wasn't the case.

I'm (180) different, and I like it better where I am. you say "how come God didn't learn you that, without putting you in the wringer"? Answer: It wasn't possible. I had a sealed heart. She didn't, she got off easy.

    You have singlehandedly made me consider septic work. I plan to get a CDL and work for my local septic.

    JAMES IS FINALLY BACK!! Great story as usual, however one caveat that I would like to add is how UNAFFORDABLE OUR COUNTRY MAKES EATING HEALTHY!! I am a nearly 40 year old disabled combat veteran who also happens to live here in N.C. (Eastern N.C. more specifically) as I have for over 15 years since I was stationed here. I am 5’6 and I weigh between 175-180 lbs depending on the circumstances. I have gained a slight gut over the last few years because I am limited as to how much physical activity I can handle. Being a disabled vet I also live on a very fixed and LOW INCOME. Which makes it quite difficult to eat “healthy”. Yes I try to eat salad (I only like Cesar salad) and I just recently started taking a multi vitamin to help get some of the nutrients I am missing because I am somewhat picky about I like to eat. The UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH is that our government DOESN’T WANT PEOPLE TO EAT HEALTHY AND LIVE LONG PROSPEROUS LIVES!! It’s much better for them if we eat unhealthily and die younger. That’s why they make it so much easier to eat fast food and cheap quick meals like frozen foods and stuff. However for some of us that’s kind of our only option under the current communist REGIME due to the INSANE PRICES OF EVERYTHING!! Yes ultimately it’s an excuse but it’s also a legitimate one right now!!

    • @thestrange_1
      @thestrange_1 3 месяца назад +4

      Thank you for your service.
      I'm sorry to tell you but the government does not directly control the prices we pay for food. We live under a capitalist economic system, not communism, that means the companies from which we purchase our food set the prices we pay. The supply chain problems caused by the pandemic gave suppliers an excuse to raise prices, so they did. Because of greed, they never lowered their prices even when their own costs went back down. We're currently paying overly inflated prices for our food due to corporate greed, not communism.

    • @MegaMagicdog
      @MegaMagicdog 3 месяца назад +4

      @@thestrange_1 Boy do you have a lot to learn about how we're in this mess we're in!
      First, our food (in the US) is largely GMO and/or full of preservatives and other chemicals which make us fat and sick. Then they advertise all these prescription drugs on TV. Ever hear about foods (fast foods in particular but quick snack items you might pick up at your average store) that don't spoil?? Or that bugs will walk around rather than eat? Ever read those labels? What are "natural flavors" anyway? We shouldn't be using seed oils or vegetable oil or margarine for cooking. We need to buy foods from family farmers who do not use corn or grains on their animals! We need natural fats (butter or coconut oil or olive oil), not fake ones! Why are people fatter now than in any time in US history? These chemicals! Look at photos of people from the 70s and earlier! Hardly a cow in the bunch! We've been lied to about nutrition as well as being offered poison. In many countries, the chemicals used in our foods are BANNED outright, and they are much healthier in comparison. The inflation we've been experiencing was planned. "They' intend to starve us out by attacking farmers. Check out what happened in Idaho recently.

    • @thestrange_1
      @thestrange_1 3 месяца назад +4

      @@MegaMagicdog a lot of what you said is true. But I think you may be mistaken about the "they" part. The family farms you'd like to have feeding you are being run out of business by factory farms controlled by large agricultural corporations. Ever heard of Monsanto? And if you're wondering why we're fatter (as a population) now, it's because of the mass introduction of high-fructose corn syrup into our food supply. It replaced natural sugar in many products over the decades due to the artificially high price of sugar in the U.S. which itself is due to import restrictions designed to help domestic sugar producers. Fructose (found in corn syrup) has been shown to light up the portion of the brain associated with hunger, while glucose (found in sugar) lights up the portion of the brain associated with being satisfied. In other words, high-fructose corn syrup makes you want to eat more. That junk is in almost everything that we think of as "processed food". Why you might ask? Because the corporations that produce our food don't care about our health, they just care about their own profit. And our business-friendly government (both parties) are happy to take all the campaign donations these companies throw at them to keep their gravy train running.

      @@MegaMagicdog You can blame the government all you want, but it probably will not change until the group of people/voters who think that the federal government cannot do anything not expressly written into the constitution change their minds. It can be very frustrating because a lot of the time these same people ask why the government lets stuff like this happen, but they do not seem to understand the connection.

I had to have my septic system pumped twice in the 2 years he lived there. For a variety of reasons, I asked him to leave and he moved out. It hasn't needed a pumpout since. Since I last saw him, it looks like he's gained even more weight. Fortunately, I won't be the one who was to call 911 because he had a heart attack.... Alright, was this woman just pouring her old oil down the drain instead of trashing it properly or was it really a waste byproduct?

    Part of the reason why I had a stroke was because almost every meal I had was deep fried from a truck stop or fast food joint combined with Mad stress....... don't do that......

    James and company are doing okay. I called. They were stupid busy before the storm and are currently trying to catch up. Asked Heather to tell him that RUclips called bc we hadn't heard anything anywhere for two months.
    Hope things go well for you, James. Miss you being here :)
