Hey mann thx for posting video. I puchased a used key fob a few years ago and had jaguar program from my original fob, but it doesn't work in the key slot. Then i realized it's not going to work in slot because the key fob is used. Will that new key fob you purchased work in the key slot since it's new or does it need to be programed from the original key fob to work in the slot.
Thank you very much sir, but what if my problem is just the lock/unlock buttons are not responding by the car. I checked the remote with Xhorse tester and it is working fine. Also the headlight button is responding, that's weird
I paid $110 USD for the programmer and $50-$75 for a key fob(s) that’s wiped clean and ready to be (re)programmed. A lot cheaper than paying a Jaguar dealership to do it.
what did you end up doing? I have a 2013 XF as well in the USA, that need a second key programmed and I was looking for DIY options any suggestion is appreciated
I own a 09 Jaguar XF. Replaced car battery and both my key fobs stopped working. I can start and drive the car when the key is docked. But the fob will not work at all. Can’t open or lock the doors, panic button doesn’t work, trunk doesn’t unlock and headlight button also doesn’t work. Do you have any idea how to fix this type of issue?

@@bradwarrington475 I taped it back together but the car only recognized it when it was docked into the opening under steering wheel. So It had to be inserted in there.

Sorry I missed your question. Any new or used key fob must be copied from an original.

I would check the batteries in the remote and if you replace don’t use a cheap no-name brand.

All I can offer is to replace the key fob battery with a Duracell 2032. Be careful not to bend the small upright tab when doing so.
