The skills you teach your kids will last a lifetime. My son at 16 began importing car front clips from Japan and installing them due to a terribly crotchety mechanic that took a liking to him. At 17 he started as a go-for with a small construction company. He now is an incredible genius fixing Navy helicopters and recently installed his solar including electrical. He commented that he has never had to call for car mechanic, builder, landscaper or home appliance help. This due to the men who took an interest and taught my son. These men are forever my heroes. Now my son serves this fine country with leadership, teaching, keeps the birds flying and two radio wave White Papers supported by the Pentagon. Not possible without the men who moulded my son into a man. Thanks for all you do for your family and men of the future.
At the very beginning, when Robbie was dragging the pipe with the 4 wheeler, he had spurs on. Now, that is a "real cowboy". The arena is going to be awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Field of Dreams!! Build it and they will come! You are going to have a world class Roping Arena !!Make Anchor Brand Ranch and Tikaboo Valley Famous!! 😜
I so love to watch you teach English young men how to do things for their safe they are gonna be such great people when they get grown you're a great dad you're a one great family I dearly love to watch love you for miss up 75 year old Grandma Judy from Louisiana
Looks great. Will be roping in no time. Had a good crew working❣️ You even welded underneath, maybe make another goat stand in your “spare time”. Seriously you put some good welds in. Excited to see the finished pen and y’all roping steers👏💕👏
My dad didn't have a b-i-l... but a lifelong friend who worked for Haliburton - same thang. He came to stay with us on his month long breaks from working in ME 1950s-60s. My dad's gov't subsidized grain storage/quonset barn is about the only one left in our area that's still standing. Frame erected by professional welder makes a difference.
So many great skills being learned by your crew. They are going to be so proud of this arena for many years to come. Cheers from Nova Scotia. We are praying for a weather adjustment here , since hay season is a month behind!
I live in Nevada and from about 10:00a.m. to 5:00 is either barn work or book work NOPE NO middle of day welding I was sweating watching 😅 but love your channel and work ethics 😊❤
Congratulations to Ram and roping partner at the national finals in Gillette . Our Canadian rodeo team also did pretty good. Arena will looks great. Hope to see lots of team roping in the near future .
Great job i have built three over the years out of pipe and cable and also sucker rod your doing a great job and your boys will also learn how to build there own someday.
we have found there are some odd components in. that drill pipe that make it difficult to get a smooth cut and also to weld. But a great resource for quick sturdy fence build'n for sure.
Ram's helpers are the barefoot boys Robbie and Ridge! The rest are tying staves in the fence. I have helped build fence with drill stems and sucker rods!
Do you use a ground magnet to get all the steel so horses and cattle don't get it in their feet. I know a Farrier and he had one on little wheels he rolls around to pick up shoeing nails
I have so many questions,,,,where do you get the cedar stays? How deep into the ground are the upright posts set? Did you make post holes with a machine? I sure would hate to think you dug all those by hand. How many miles of pipe in total ? 😅 can hardly wait for the opening day of this great arena ! Gonna be a celebration for sure .
Lots of hard work by all your family and friends each one loves Rodeo. Show hard they tie the wooden stays on the fence. What is their technique with baying wire. Having never installed post like that just curious how it’s really done
I have noticed in the western states oil pipe seems to be the preferred choice of materials for fencing. I understand the value in strength and longevity, but what about the cost? To me it looks to be very costly based on what we would have to pay for piping in the Midwest. Do you have a source for pipe that has been used previously and therefore inexpensive?
A non ranch hand has a couple questions/comments. First are you going to have Robbie build you a second goat ? Would make your cutting easier I think... And an awesome way to get his arc welding start... Next time your in Cedar Harbor Freight has some really cheap acetaline welding/cutting glasses. Lastly just because I have to ask does being a ranch hand still pay $20 a month plus room and board ?😊
Just out of curiosity, why use barbed wire, unless you have a bunch? Why not use barbless wire? That way you don’t cut up a horse or steer if for some reason they rub up against the fence. Just a thought. It’s going to be a nice arena when it’s done though. Great job!
Not trying to rain on the family’s parade, but… Hopefully you intend to go back over Every weld you made with 6010/7010 with a Low Hydrogen rod (7018) due to the drill stem pipe you’re using! Each and every weld will crack just from the pipe expansion and contraction between the cool of the night and the heat of the day! Did your BIL explain that fact to you? It’s a fact!
I am sure you know your welding stuff so I’m not gonna argue your opinion it’s probably correct. I don’t know all of the ins and outs of the different kinds of rods but from my perspective I can’t see how some cracks in the weld can be the end of the world in this fence. First of all I fit the rails so tight that I had to beat them down into place and then welded all the way around probably too hot with penetration into both the rail and the posts. Maybe someday I’ll regret it but I’m gonna go on with life and hope for good luck 🍀 Thanks for the advice on the 7018 Guess we’ll have to practice with it That stuff seems to hate cowboys and ranch projects 🤣
I understand and meant no disrespect or trying to put your hard work down at all! I’m a cowboy myself and learned the hard way. I actually had to go back and re-weld with the low hydrogen rod on my own arena. Just thought I would pass along what I learned from the older professional welders. 😊
God dam, that arena is coming on, soon y'all be hosting the ABR Tickaboo Valley Finals Rodeo and all? Good team work by all those boys and the Hughes family mob, soon y'all be putin that arena to good use, yeeehaaa?
By the looks of your comment it appears you're not worried about the Millions of gallons of water used to cool the servers you used to post the comment. And before you spew off some nonsense about the "water is recycled", less then 50% is reused. After the fact of taking the first Millions of gals. Better u just go sit under your tree and enjoy the video.
All looks good and straight. Thanks for the teaching.
Now that is a real cowboy/welder ropein dumbie/ pipe rack/ jack stand.

I bet those helpers will be happy when the job is done so they can get to roping

Always love seeing what my favorite ranching family is up to.
All the things you teach your kids you can’t put a price on their education. What a wonderful gift and Family. God Bless
Good job. That’s where the memories begin. Reminds me of me
Hello there good workers. Yous are doing a good job. It's all worth it in the long run. Your patience is great.
Love Fence and great job guys Grandma Judy from Louisiana
Well from what I see (Dad) you have make a few fence post welds in your life…So glad your teacher your kiddo the same. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Looks great. Will be roping in no time. Had a good crew working❣️ You even welded underneath, maybe make another goat stand in your “spare time”. Seriously you put some good welds in. Excited to see the finished pen and y’all roping steers👏💕👏
Wow that's a lot of welding in that chute and arena. Hours and hours of hard work. Anchor Brand Ranch rocks, Make Anchor Great Again. 😎😍😄😃😊🐴🐂🐎🇺🇸
Double MAGA!!!!
Every rancher I've ever known had a box of left over 7010 from a pipeline job that his brother-in-law gave him. 🤣😂🤣

Nice job on the fence, that looks like a lot of work but will be excellent for your rodeo. Hope you all stay safe and healthy.
Oh man! What's done is looking awesome! Can't wait to watch the progress!
Yall are getting it done with all the fine help you have .
Great job!
Thank you all members of ABR.

It is Always a Pleasure to See You all Fine Folk’s, Quickly becoming The Top of My List for Vidja’s to Catch.
Ramzi, you are a very talented man. And great teacher too!😅
That arena will be as famous as Lazy E someday!
we have found there are some odd components in. that drill pipe that make it difficult to get a smooth cut and also to weld. But a great resource for quick sturdy fence build'n for sure.
Another very interesting video Thank you 😊😊😊
Excellent Video 🤠❤

The arena looks great. Will you build a chute so you can also use it for bull riding or will it only be used for roping?
You should order a distance Laser. It would save you a ton of time and energy.
You are aprime example of working smarter but not harder.
Great job on the arena your going to be roping in no time
Looks like a lot of good help going to be a very nice arena
Mighty fine job guys !
Where do you get all the pipe from doing a great job I love you guys

The businesses in south Louisiana the de scale the pipe for reuse are contaminated with radiation. You may want to check for radiation.
Lots of hard work by all your family and friends each one loves Rodeo. Show hard they tie the wooden stays on the fence. What is their technique with baying wire. Having never installed post like that just curious how it’s really done
It's your arena build it your way and to heck with the nay sayers
Good work Ramzi going to be 😢great arena
A few years ago I spent 4 months in west Texas doing work that included fencing made of oil field pipe. I wish I had those pipe templates.
What kind of rod are you using?
I have noticed in the western states oil pipe seems to be the preferred choice of materials for fencing. I understand the value in strength and longevity, but what about the cost? Good camera man ridgy
THANK YA'LL,
Like the pipe goat and I think that might be some good rod.
do not use plastic tape with the sun and heat they stretch and give wrong measure be careful
Lookin' good.

Hey! All those gaps in the welds are on purpose'; they let the rainwater drain out so the pipe wont rust! Just sayin'.......
I saw how they Weld the fittings on the drill pipe.
1 last observation man your hair grew back fast

@gunnytinman On the other hand, I’ve had 2 different horses require a bunch of stitches caused by barbed wire. Cow hide is a lot tougher.
Nice 🇱🇷 job, guys
What does drill pipe run $/ft now??
I'm sure Austin Ross couldn't have done any better
Greetings from Coos Bay Oregon 7010 welding Rod (70is 70,000 tensile strength) (1 is all position) (0 flux characteristics, fast freeze puddle)

Pipe goat doesn't eat much, either.

All the trees your cutting down, I hope you have some type of replant program. Trees are very important for the environment.
Some places BLM has juniper slash cuts because they rob water from productive growth
