Cyprus..Northern...There is a new airline called Fly Kıbrıs and I don't know if you had ever flown on Pegasus or AnadoluJet (to be known as AJet in 2024) ..That'd be some experience. And happy to help, if needed mate.
Don't know much about Bhutan and their airlines, but for their collaboration with Josh to let him into the cockpit to promote themselves and their country they deserve a lot of respect and a consideration for a trip destination
If anyone was wondering, the 'terrain terrain pull up pull up' you are hearing was not actually sounding in real life 🤣I believe the editors have added that on top of the audio. As you can see on the upper ECAM at 5:38 'TERR OFF' is being displayed which inhibits the aural warning which you can press on the overhead panel. :) otherwise that would be rather alarming to hear during landing while you are trying to concentrate haha
I was not wondering, I knew right away, even without looking at the ECAM. SOP for a GWPS warning are clear. As soon as you hear that you absolutely DO pull up. It's mandatory. That's why the system gets switched off on approaches like this, because they are flown visually anyway.
Not it was clearly added. The ECAM indication "Terr off" means that the system was switched off. As it has to be, like I explained already. You are legally required to pull up if you hear that warning.@@mcomism
Of all the excellent videos you made, this has to be one of my favourites. The friendliness of the Bhutanese people, all the way from the pilots and cabin crew to your guides, such kindness is indeed worth noting. I hope one day I could visit this little gem of a beautiful country.
Yes. This is an airport no green horn pilot can fly into even if he is a full fledged captain. One needs very special training for landings and take-offs from this airport.
This has been my most favorite video yet. It's great to show the skill level of pilots that passengers take for granted. There is so much humble beauty everywhere. Everyone was polite and kind. I was shocked to see the check-in so neat, clean, calm, and unstressful. I'm totally impressed by this country and people. Thank you for this one!!
Thank you Josh for firing my desire to return to the airports again. You, Noel,Paul Lucas, jeb brooks and his wife, and simply aviation are a major part of my love to travel to grow massively. Bhutan has been a dream of mine to travel to but sadly money issues don't help lol. But I pray one day that I get to go and with a few friends and my brother too. You've got my love aviation to return and stronger than ever. I got my job back at an airport with united. The goal is to pay off my debt and save to travel. Thank you so much josh and those who were named above.
Wow! I had chills on that landing. Those pilots are a credit to aviation. What beautiful people from the flight crew to the tour guides. I had to look up where Bhutan was located. Your accommodations were beautiful. Safe travels.
That landing reminded me of arrivals at Kai Tak in the 1970s and 80s. You haven't flown until you have been aboard a 747 banking at the checkerboard in Hong Kong.
The skills of those pilots, flying out with such low visibility, I got goosebumps just by looking at it. Thank you Josh for bringing such wonderful content ❤
That is a sensational approach. I flew into the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong a couple of times and that was scary enough. This approach was in a whole different league though!
Paro isn't the most dangerous... Lukla (Nepal) is. You have to fly onto a runway halfway up a mountain in the Himalayas and, at the end of it, is the mountainside. Yes, that's right, you have to fly onto a runway with the end being the rock face of the mountain. So you'd better stop quickly, otherwise you crash. And when you take off, you take off downhill, with the runway ending in a 9,000 foot drop.
Josh, this is the most exciting video I’ve seen of an AV geek so far! You made me laugh, you made me cry (in a good way because of the epicness). THESE are my favorite videos that you share with us. Loved learning about the people, the pilots, the plane, just all of it! This is my favorite video of you. Thank you.
I like how my airport has daily connections to this beautiful country. I live in CCU. Bhutan Airlines flies daily and have even filed for a second daily. Druk Air flies 5x I believe, 1x a week with A319 and rest ATR 42.
Josh, Great video one of your best.👍 So many avgeek videos have been done before but this was something different. Try doing the flight down to Antartica (South Pole) that would be cool.😁 One point you missed in your video is Bhutan airport has a fairly short runway so this makes the landing more tricky as well.✈️
I had this landing and take off experience in Bhutan some years ago but with Druk Air, I am speechless , what an adventure ❤ and yes, it was a unique real aviation experience ❤ fantastic pilots and people!
Brilliant Josh. Got to be one if not the best reviews. What a lovely country with such lovely people. I’m a bit old in the tooth now but if I were ten years younger it would be definitely on my bucket list. Stay safe. Mick🇬🇧
This was incredible video. I have flown into Teleride, Montrose, and Aspen Colorado but this was out of this world. Loved this video and all of the extra.
Wow, so great Josh. I love this airport and it's definitely on my bucket list! Next trip for you 6:08 Saba or Lukla? 😅 All the best from good old Germany.
Cool video Josh. My uncle used to be a flight engineer on Cathay Pacific 747-400 jets and he told me several stories about landing at the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong from AKL, and other places that he used to fly to/from. Part of the story involved a hard turn as the plane went over H.K. at near roof top height, and - from memory - a cockpit warning just like or similar to the one at the start of this video. Before you say most difficult approach in the world, there are a couple hair raisers in the Andes I understand.
This reminds me of when they used to land jet aircraft at South Lake Tahoe. A dicey hard turn on approach in the mountains on a short runway. What fun.
I almost soiled my pants just watching the video. The last time I had the same sensaton was some 20 years ago, when Austrian desided to blast off of Sofia their Fokker 70 with no flaps on. I was sitting next to the wing. Well, I am still here, so that was OK, I guess.. :)
Was there in 2019. To have a good look you need two weeks. Landing and takeoff experiences aren’t scary but they are rare. English is the official ( not native) language and you drive on the left. You are with a guide and driver. There is no exploring the country by yourself unless you are from India. Roads are winding so not a place for people who get car sick. Very much a developing country but has free health care and education. Many young people are leaving the country to have more opportunities. The people are nice but don’t be misled by the ‘happiness’ mantra. They are humans like anyone else so people have issues too. Look at it more as ‘self contentment’ which is a reflection of their Buddhist religion. Food gets monotonous with rice central to every dish. You pay a daily fee of $100 (US) for being there, less for children. Accomodation varies from very high class to basic. Beautiful countryside and mountainous. Lots of Indian labourers working on the roads and living in shit accomodation but they earn more than at home. Book through a dedicated tour agency. You will enjoy it but avoid Winter and Monsoon time. I travelled Sept and Oct. The best time.
What Aviation Adventure you want to see next year? Let me know! ❤
Maybe modern destinations and airlines that weren't on the departure and arrival boards and screens 10-20 years ago.
I think you should run a competition so that one of your followers could take a trip with you.
Karachi - be my guest 🙂
Come to maldives and experience the world's biggest seaplane operator

That landing is INSANE

Completely unnecessary to add that if that's the case.

Added for dramatic effect! 😂

I turned the egpws off in the sim flying this approach in a B737-900 and it will still shout “pull up” 🤷🏼♂️
A creator who would do anything to give their viewers the best experience, is the best creator. Thats Josh Cahill for you, well done!😊
No wayyy, I just got a heart, I have been watching you for 4 years now. And finnaly, thank you sooo much!!
Of all the excellent videos you made, this has to be one of my favourites. The friendliness of the Bhutanese people, all the way from the pilots and cabin crew to your guides, such kindness is indeed worth noting. I hope one day I could visit this little gem of a beautiful country.
A joy for the skilled pilot to showcase, a joy for Josh to show his audience and a great treat to watch. Well done Josh ✈️

After that cockpit experience, I don't blame you for calling business class seats cheap seats 😂😂😂
Definitely 😂
Bhutan airlines giving Josh a seat in the cockpit is what i call ultra first class seat. 👌 😊
Could this be the finest video Josh has posted? Amazing country, terrific journey indeed. Imagine if the rest of the world was like Bhutan.
Thank you Josh for firing my desire to return to the airports again. You, Noel,Paul Lucas, jeb brooks and his wife, and simply aviation are a major part of my love to travel to grow massively. Imagine your daily landing gives warnings like: CAUTION TERRAIN! PULL UP! PULL UP!
That is crazy
Good thing you only hear that in the cockpit
@@ninettemurk7492it’s loud! Pretty sure you can hear that if you’re seated in the first row 😂
One word- amazing! Bhutan is firmly on the bucket list now.
That is a sensational approach. I flew into the old Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong a couple of times and that was scary enough. This approach was in a whole different league though!

I'm both jealous and not jealous of you hearing the terrain warning in person
Love watching Josh’s flight reviews and a bonus to see you travel around a country, what a great review.

its very awesome that you got access to the cockpit during landing
What a lovely staff onboard, I wish I could meet some local people in Bhutan. All smiles and exploring a new country .
It''s not the world's most dangerous landing in the world but clearly it's one of the most challenging ever approaches and subsequent landing...
Oh man, what a destination! I can barely landing Airbus in Paro in flight simulator, real thing is nuts!
A warn love from Nepal
To Mr.Josh and the people of
Beautiful Himalayan nation - Bhutan
🙏 💐 Namaste
The landing is crazy, but that takeoff with clouds hiding the mountains is equally as wild
I had this landing and take off experience in Bhutan some years ago but with Druk Air, I am speechless , what an adventure ❤ and yes, it was a unique real aviation experience ❤ fantastic pilots and people!
That GPWS scares the shit out of me tbh
Those pilots certainly earn their money with skills like that.
Thank you for visiting Bhutan(The Land of Thunder Dragon). 🇧🇹
A privilege to be in the jump seat for that approach & landing. Brilliant video
Brilliant Josh. Got to be one if not the best reviews. What a lovely country with such lovely people. I’m a bit old in the tooth now but if I were ten years younger it would be definitely on my bucket list. Stay safe. Mick🇬🇧
OMG was it sad to see those Thai 747s with ripped out engines, I'll so miss the queen of the sky!
Josh looks so relaxed in this video. I have been in the same frame of mind when I am in the tropics.
This was incredible video. I have flown into Teleride, Montrose, and Aspen Colorado but this was out of this world. Loved this video and all of the extra.
Holy Mother of Gods....that last take off in the rain and IMC...an EFATO would be epic \\m//
The terrain is Stunning and the pilot is talented
“Back in the cheap seats” - best line ever 😂
Wow, so great Josh. I love this airport and it's definitely on my bucket list! Next trip for you 6:08 Saba or Lukla? 😅 All the best from good old Germany.
What an amazing country and thus video Josh. Normaly one only films the approach and that is it. Thank you for taking us along.
Now to top things up, you must take a commercial flight into Lukla or a Heli flight to Everest Base Camp. That will offer next level views!!
Cool video Josh. Wow what an awesome experience and adventure, truly a fantastic video. Was excited with you.
OMG, That was so scary. Great Video by the way Josh. Thank you!
Thank You for visiting Bhutan 🇧🇹.
One of your best aviation adventures.
Hugely skilful approach and landing!!
Now that was a very cool take off!!!
I tightened up on that landing for real lol. Great content!
Crazy approach to an immensely beautiful place
wow, great video! impressed. Such open Bhutanese people :)
Ahhh so that's where you got the A319 model from ;)
Even though your stopover was absolutely minuscule, I'd still like to welcome you to my city of Kolkata, Josh!
I took Druk Air and sat in the jump from Paro to Kalkota. Quite the take off huh
Wow, the landing was so exciting..... like watching a crime movie! 👍
The fact the air steward(ress) likes to be on social media, happily chatting and being recorded speaks volumes. Happiest nation indeed.
Wow, that is incredible! Thank you so much!
Excellent video. Bhutan is beautiful both scenery and it's people.
The geound proximity warning was turned off. Why you edited into the landing?
So you would leave a comment which is good for the engagement and pushes the video increasing its views. I used you 😂
Alway good content ❤🇱🇰❤
Wow you are such a lucky guy to have such travel in Bhutan!
We would like to see the interview with Bhutan air CEO & Qatar air ceo
Love love love your laugh sweetie ❤great job ! Salute from old Navy Pilot 🧑🏻✈️
You can tell Bhutan is the happiest country in the world before you even step off the plane
Thank you Josh. Hope to see you in Bhutan again. 😁🙏
One of your best videos. It's great to see the places you visit. Inspiration for me.
One of your best videos, Josh. Keep it up!
Amazing landing … w/o awesome . Thanks Josh !
Superb content and detail - Thank you for bringing Bhutan to me - It's now on my bucket list.
Wow🙈🙈...total admiration for the pilots
Balls would come up my throat if I had seen that landing with Pull up pull up terrain warnings
Great video. Always love your posts and honesty. I think Noel would love to sit in the cockpit for landing and take-off Keep well ..
Loved the content Josh, thanks for visiting my country Bhutan. See you again soon . ❤❤❤
Thanks Josh! Has to be one your best and my fave.❤️❤️❤️ Keep 'em comin' bro!!!
Wow what a place! Agree - places like this are the types of places we should visit. Take Off looked much more scary than landing with that visibility
EAT YOUR VEGETABLES!!!. Great video as always!
This reminds me of when they used to land jet aircraft at South Lake Tahoe. A dicey hard turn on approach in the mountains on a short runway. What fun.
another exceptional video, you get better and better!
Great video. Bhutan looks wonderful.
Getting Sam Chui vibes from your recent vids. Not necessarily a bad thing.
Don’t tell him that!
I almost soiled my pants just watching the video. The last time I had the same sensaton was some 20 years ago, when Austrian desided to blast off of Sofia their Fokker 70 with no flaps on. I was sitting next to the wing. Well, I am still here, so that was OK, I guess.. :)

Wow!! What an amazing flight/landing experience.
Beautiful Country, the views out of this world. Great video thanks Josh.
And a lovely crew
Kind of the best videos you’ve done - and one of the best travel videos anywhere! And that is such a beautiful country!
omg that landing was awesome!. omg that bath in the room!!! 😻
What an amazing place!
Josh WOW !! What an amazing approach that certainly looked like an awesome experience 😲😃
Wow what an approach! Watching it on your video makes us immersed with the actual landing
What an amazing approach and exit. From what you’ve shown in such a short trip, it looks absolutely stunning! Well done
The best video, well done Josh.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Josh, Wow Wow this vlog fantastic!!! Thanks!! 🙏
Thanks Josh for the experience... ❤❤❤
wow...loved this!!
