Edit: I'm realizing that it's kinda pointless to keep replying to people cause I'm repeating the same thing over and over, so here's my general opinion:
Sara was probably just being shy/nervous when talking to Alix which is why she laughed after Alix complimented her. I'm coming back to this comment a year later to say that I don't really blame Sara anymore, it's more like the editors. They chose to keep this segment in even when they could have easily edited it out and they knew that it could easily be misunderstood. Still though, we're all allowed to have our own opinions so _please respect others'_ when replying on people's comments.

Sara was kind of competitive about it but in the end, it’s very obvious that Alix was the one who had less trash

I mean, we arent the ones who made the competition beforehand so im not sure if we can define the priorities for the metrics of winning. I would argue that neither won because it didnt seem like a competition, they were just doing the challenge. It could be argued if beforehand they agreed to prioritize taste, or prioritize least waste, and then can be evaluated based on that metric, but since it wasnt I dont think anyones opinion about that really matters... (since sara may have been trying to focus on taste and just keep in mind the waste, while alix was going for full no waste).

I don’t think Sara was trying to be rude- that’s probably just her being a little awkward. I know that is how it seems sometimes, someone coming off as a jerk but I genuinely think she was just nervous at the time. Alix is a more outgoing person, as you can see which good for her! She’s able to speak without worrying much which is a great thing to have. But it kinda seemed as if Sara was contemplating everything she was going to say and was kind of lost in thought.
Honestly to me she didn't sound that rude until the end when Alix asked her about her cake and she just laughed, ik you can be shy but it was really rude cuz Alix literally asked her if shes gonna say something about her (sorry if this was long)

Citrialos Lemon is citrus which would imbalance the pH of compost. People tend to avoid composting it. And as for the cake, they attract unwanted pests

pretty much all the oil and eggs... it will make it denser but very moist. I started it out of desperation. It was my daughter's bday and we were poor. Everyone liked the cake and the breads I made with it so I keep with it. Sometimes I use bananas as a replacement instead like with banana bread.

Personally I wouldn't eat either cake bc chocolate makes me feel weird and sick but I felt Alix's cake showed that she struggled with the challenge and it would have been nice if Sara complemented the fact that it looked good, especially due to the restrictions. I've seen Alix's other cakes and compared to this one a compliment would have helped her feel more confident.

lmao it's really not though, eggshells are compostable, dry ingredients are packaged in paper and milk in cartons which are all recyclable, and chocolate can be bought in bulk to avoid having to trash the aluminium sheet. The one tricky part is butter because it's wrapped in waxed paper that isn't recyclable but I think one can deal with that much waste for a whole cake.

what loveforever have you ever had an avocado milkshake? They’re actually really delicious and creamy. That’s probably why they didn’t say anything because avocados are actually really good when they’re sweetened properly.
Ive had avocados and a carrot in chocolate ice cream. I only tasted the chocolate. Avocados doesn’t really have a taste to be honest. And cocoa can be very overpowering sometimes.
