- In this latest episode of Dennis Deep Cuts you will find an amazing conversation with my old friend Walter Schreifels from bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Rival Schools, Youth Of Today and many more.
We are talking about juggling 5 active bands, failures, logistics and the creative approach that comes from trying different things.
And we are also going through all 14 bands that Walter has played in!
Check it out. It's a great and really interesting conversation.
Wow, two of my most favorit musicians talking about their many bands and projects! Thanks Dennis and Walter for this entertaining and interesting episode 🙏
That's a hell of a first guest, my friend. You guys are both legends in your own right. It was so cool to see the interactions as musicians still currently making music. I felt like I learned a lot about the evolution of Walter and his musical processes. I find this channel to be extremely intriguing and interesting. I will keep watching!!!
Thanks!! Keep watching and I’ll keep creating.
Absolutely love this conversation! Huge respect for you both!!
Good episode. Love both your music and it's super cool to hear these kind of interviews. I like knowing the bands I'm a fan of consist of actual good humans :D
Hi Dennis, another great show! How about an episode with your Fake Names bandmates while you are in the States? All the best, Steve
Thanks for putting on a great show last night in Long Beach! 😊 And thanks for taking a minute to chat with me on my birthday! Stay Wild✌️
He forgot World's Fastest Car!
Got to see Refused a few years back, phenomenal gig. Finally getting to see both Rival Schools and Quicksand this year too, bring it on!!!
▪️many great bands!
Can we get a follow up episode "How to juggle playing in three different bands at Riot Fest 2023" 😂 That's got to be a first!
Nice work. If you ever wanted it, you'd make a better interviewer than most doing it. As for artists doing different bands, different projects, etc- fascinating topic. Some, like you and Walter do carry my interest over different projects, but others, not so much. But, for example, you guys mention David Bowie- I even followed his acting career, whereas I didn't so much Gene Simmons. I guess it's to do with intent and enthusiasm. But, even then, it's interesting. As for "failures"- it seems to me that some of that is the audience. For example, I'm in Phoenix, AZ, USA- home of some of the worst audiences, ever. I don't blame any band that skips this town, because I've been to so many gigs where the audience was honestly embarrassing- something that happened at both an INVSN and Quicksand gig. Same goes for records- some great records have been released to bad audiences. Be that however it is- just saying that I haven't heard either of you truly fail.
Did he play with CIV?
Not really. He wrote some songs for them.
whoa! är walter uppe i umeå????? eller spelade du in nu på USA-svängen? underbar konversation, kompis.
Jag hänger i usa. 😀
