I used some vertical bulb trim seal. Got it off amazon attached it to the tailgate and give a nice seal between the seal that is on the glass and the gate
First of, great channel. I've told you that before. I've got the exact same Jeep and Yes, they need TLC. A lot of it. PLEASE don't get a JL. They are nice and new and have a lot of comfort feature but im my opinion are not nearly as fun as the TJ. My wife has a new JL. Trust me...
I’ve taken many JLs off road and I have many people in my off roading group that have them and they’re the most capable Jeep Wrangler ever made out of the box. Super fun off road and with some mods they’re nearly unstoppable. Look up some off roading videos with JL you would be surprised
Get a heavy duty hitch and rack to carry the wheels and tires on and a powerful cordless impact driver and another set of wheels and tires that will ride smooth and change them out when u get to your spot
You have to tell you that each time something break its not at the same place ;) soon you will have a new jeep with all the parts replaced ^^ But yeah.. From my experience with my jeep tj, its a money pit, but its a lot of fun! I live in quebec, near ontario frontier, if you want to do some wheeling reach me out! It could be nice
Your Jeep could be experiencing “death wobble”, Google or You Tube it and you’ll find more information on it. My TJ has it when I drive over 90km/hr, I’ll be fixing it soon. Good luck and thanks for the great videos!
@@SeriouslyAwesome, according to mechanics, it’s usually worn out loose fitting bushings in the front end that will cause severe vibrations. Google or RUclips “Jeep Death Wobble” and you’ll see many discussions and explanations on this subject. My 2005 TJ is currently experiencing this if I drive over 100 km/hr.
Go in a scrap yard and look for any weather strips, you need 3 feet of it and you solve the problems...btw, that's the cause of your break rear window maybe😉
Mike most people dont know this ,there is a wheather strip that goes on the back door, have a roll of it give me a P.O. box I will send you what you need ,will upload a picture to Instagram here in just a bit of what it is and how it fits

@@SmokinMonkeyOG yea, because they're new. Wait, 30-45 days in and you wish you didn't sell that TJ...Time will tell...:)
100% agreed👍👍👍
what makes JLs not as fun?

It comes back every few weeks. Not too worried for now lol
Fixing TJs is probably the most popular Jeep content on the web. It's also how I found your channel.

Ya I agree it’s going to be mostly a new Jeep soon lol. If I ever head up there I’ll let you know
Did your vibration change if you let off the gas?
Nope. I tried that but once I put the two that are balanced in the front there’s a night and day difference
On my tj the vibration change when I let off the gaz. Did not find the issue yet
@@linkdragon70 yea same lol
That sounds like driveline. Check the u joints and possibly the drive shaft could be out of balance

No this is the tires. I took them to a third shop and they showed me that the tires aren’t even round anymore lol 150% the rubber
Death wobble is usually a tire balancing problem...

@@cfvrq the first, and cheapest, place you look is in the tires. I'm well acquainted with TJ death wobble.

Window was open when it smashed if you watched the video so I don’t see how that would have anything to do with the weatherstrip
Oups, you're right...sorry guy!
No worries

Balance them tires! Put the weights on the INSIDE of the rims.
