Anakin wanted so badly to "keep people from dying" and his grandson finally made it happen.
I never put that together, thats awesome.
@@zakarenaboy That's because the Sith would never consider sacrificing themselves to save someone else. They are too selfish and seek eternal life.
Anakin made it happen himself decades before that by selflessly saving Luke on the second death star.
Playing God and trying to unnaturally reverse death was, and is, a Sith-endeavor.
@Thomas Kearse facts
Yes they discovered how to keep the ones they loved alive. They also discovered a new power. Item transfer. If one thing is true. Palapatine could foresee alot. He said that Anakin could not learn to heal the ones he loved from a Jedi. It is emotion based. This leads me to believe that Rey or Ben were not Jedi's in the end. They were neutral force users. Even Yoda knew the dogmatic view of the Jedi needed to change. That's why in episode 8 he destroyed the Jedi sacred texts. Rey also used force lightning. To get to use all the powers one must follow the neutral path of the force. Not a Jedi or a Sith. Not serving good or evil, but having good and evil serve them when needed.
Fun Fact: At the end of the film, Wicket makes a brief appearance alongside Pommet, his son, celebrating the defeat of Darth Sidious and the Sith Eternal. Warwick Davis reprised his "Return of the Jedi" role, alongside his real life son Harrison Davis, who played Pommet.
Kylo Ren has Anakin's lightsaber at the end. I recognise it. That lightsaber was the first one ever seen in any movie. Obi Wan kept it in a box. Then he said to Luke that "your father wanted you to have this". Then Luke lost it with his hand at Bespin Cloud City in Empire Strikes Back. Then Rey had it, now Kylo Ren has it. Even I was crying through this movie.
except it got torn in half at the end of the last movie but i guess we just pretend that movie didnt happen because rey also got her stomach cut open in the fighting so they had to cgi out the dual wielding guys 2nd blade because OOPS
@@magus104 True, but there's also the question of how they got it from Bespin. We were told it was "a story for another day" but we never got that story.
In this movie under the sand, Rey said something like "horrible things have happend with this dagger" as she wields the Youngling Slayer 9000
Babu didn't call himself a freak. he said "Hello, I Babu Frik."
Glad you like! I always get emotional about this movie... including watching your emotional reaction ;) By the way, I love Rey!
Rey and Ben have both had the fulfillment of their journey.
She sacrificed herself to save the entire Galaxy, and him sacrificed himself to save her
35:10 That simple shrug is one of Adam Driver’s best moments in this trilogy. Shows that while Ben’s Force powers come from his mother’s side, he’s still his father’s son.
I dunno why people hate this movie. I absolutely love it!!!
People always find something to dislike
Pretty much
People hate it because Rey is a shitty character. The plot is terrible and doesn’t make sense. And the villains all suck. Mainly Rey. The Mary sue of the whole sequel trilogy
@@connormutic3711 people said the same thing about the prequels as well and now they are loved. You’re just part of the group that trashes everything cause it’s the cool thing to do to get likes online
@@ianaustin5012 no. No im not. The very first time I watched any of these movies is when they came out. And none of them were good. The destroyed Luke’s character, had terrible plots throughout and never bothered to fix it. Finn would of had a decent story if they actually gave him something instead of half his lines just shouting Rey. I’m not “part of the group that trashes everything”, if I never liked these movies to begin with. Hell I don’t even like Attack of the clones or really the phantom menace. Just the duels in the prequels were probably the best part. So I don’t really love the prequels and especially the sequels.
Thanks, Laurenn! 🌟 Keep on watching... there are so many cathartic feelings to be experienced in STAR WARS. I hope you react to the prequel trilogy (EPISODEs I, II and III) as well as the stand-alone movies (SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY and ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY) and finish off with the live-action series (THE MANDALORIAN, THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT and OBI-WAN KENOBI). So many more live-action offerings are on the horizon!
Haha best reactions ever! 😭😁 When the dust settle and you start to make logic it becomes difficult. However it has some great moments and Kylo, Rey, Finn and Poe will always be wonderful!
if you like stuff dealing with the dark side and sith lords, then I can't recommend enough, KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic), it's an old school D&D style RPG from back in the early 2000s and the story of it and its sequel game KOTOR II: The Sith Lords are legendary because of how amazing they are!!
Fantastic as always, I am glad that you enjoyed the majority of the Skywalker Saga and from your reaction I can see you have bonded with the characters we all came to love over the years. I am envious that you didnt have to wait as long as some of us did. Looking forward to your next reaction and thank you for taking the time and skill to give us such great content. Thank you
Once again, what a treat. ^ _ ^ Your reactions are so uplifting and endearing, this was a joy to watch from beginning to end. You're right, Episode IX wasn't talked about much around its release. It was hated on, ranted about, and dragged through the mud every which way, but touched upon in any coherent and meaningful dialogue? Nope. And honestly, I still don't know what to tell people. Even after what came to light about the production, how there was never a set plan for the story, how poorly some of the characters were handled (Finn was always meant to have a much more prominent role then he ended up getting), and just how much of a tug of war went on behind the scenes, the fact that it still came together to deliver genuine emotion and a satisfying payoff is nothing short of amazing. Seriously, people can rag on about the sequels all that they want and point out every single thing they had going against them. To me, that just makes it all the more remarkable just how good they turned out.
"Rise of Skywalker" may not be perfect and good lord did it ever have the odds stacked against it from the outset, but it is just such a good time. Whenever I re-watch it, my heart is back in full flight within the Star Wars universe. If anything, it leaves me wishing there could have been more. ~ I'm one of the few who wishes J.J. Abrams had been given the green light to make the final episode a two-parter. That, regardless of what anyone else says, is the hallmark of good Star Wars right there. So great to see you found the emotional core of the movie as well. That merits a happy dance right there and a heartfelt Hooray! : )
As soon as I saw "Lightspeed Skipping" I was out. I get this movie was always going to struggle so we could cut it some slack, but I'm sorry, I could have written a better script in 25 minutes and it wouldn't have started with "SOMEHOW Palpatine returned". What is that "somehow"? Can we get an explanation? Actually no because in the words of Maz Kanata, "A good question for another time" - Only to never ever actually get an answer
God I was so thankful when this ended. Everyone in the theater groaned and booed when that stupid kiss happened lol
No surprise really but at 35:36 is when you know you've got a good character
Suuuuuuuuure. I saw it 3 times in theater and none of that happened. If anything people cheered.
Loved the reactions of your Star Wars journey... and nuggets and chocolate milk go pretty good together!!!
Your reactions were priceless, especially to the more emotional scenes. Disney made a number of mistakes with this trilogy, but much like The Force Awakens, there's still a lot of good stuff here.
It was awesome getting to see Harrison Ford come back one more time. That was genuinely surprising, and it was a real good scene. It was also good seeing Billy Dee come back.
Rest in peace Carrie Fisher 💯
Well said. 👍👍👍
They made luke into a werthless broken hobo in previous movie. Now they made him into hobo ghost
It always phenomenal to hear beautiful Laurenn
This is one of my favorite Star Wars movies!
Ben: Revives Rey
Laurenn: "I'm so happy with this ending!"
Movie: "Hold my beer..."
I thought this was a good end to the sequels! I'm super glad you enjoyed it. My favorite characters from the sequels are Rey and Babu Frik ❤️ After this movie came out I bought a talking Babu plush toy. Just recently I bought Rey's lightsaber. It looks so badass! I can't wait for you to continue your Star Wars journey Lauren! 💛 You're so awesome 🤘🏼
I have one complaint worth mentioned, and that's I don't understand the rationale that Rey calls herself a Skywalker. There's no connection, no family, maybe she was briefly trained by Luke and Leia, but that doesn't really bring her into the clan. Maybe it would have been better if she's embraced the idea that she didn't need a last name and never did, maybe...
Luke and Leia literally took her in. They became her closest family, thus she is a Skywalker. Not to mention she was trained by Leia for a whole year.
"I'm so upset Ben is gone" - I love a redemption story,, but Ben was still responsible for the slaughter of millions, if not billions. It would've been a total cop-out if they'd just been like "Oh yeah I'm good now, oh don't worry about that, just forget about all the bad things I did, mk?" - TROS has flaws, but imo Ben dying isn't one of them. Overall I enjoyed the movie myself, a far better movie than TLJ, even though that had some fun parts too.
On the subject of loving a good villain, my favorite villains in fiction are Silco from Arcane and Nox from Wakfu.
Is the trope not old though? Especially in Star Wars. Why can't we have a redemption story where the villain actually lives?
@@kaygee2121 Yes the trope is very old, but if he'd lived you'd still have him not having answered for killing millions of people and bringing terror to the galaxy. That's a bit unsatisfactory, so to say.
@@kaygee2121 If he lived, he would of gone on trial for war crimes and basically spent the rest of his life in prison. Death is actually better
You know that if Anakin had learned force healing this whole thing could have been avoided the moment he found his mom...
It always made sense for Ben to finally wield Luke's (blue) lightsaber since it was the same lightsaber Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi took from Anakin after their fight in Ep 3, gave to Luke in Ep 4, which he then lost in Ep 5 when his hand was cut off by Vader/Anakin.
Emperor palpatine/Darth Sidious is my top 3 favorite Sith Lords
Lauren I watched your video on my tv. You look great on the big screen. 😉 I have seen this movie several times. I ignored the skeptics. This movie was an attempt to reconcile with fans who despised The Last Jedi. I agreed with your total assessment of this movie. Both the exciting and emotional parts. I have watched several reactions to this movie and only a few really got it. You are one of the few. Thank you for an entertaining 45mins and 21 seconds. Looking forward to more. Take care. 🥰
"only a few really got it" or is it more like you missed it, not us?
Absolutely LOVED your reaction. You totally got everything out of this I did and all the emotions in the right place. So many just don't get how great this movie as a Star wars movie is. I'm glad you loved it. Go back and watch Snoke's interrogation of Rey in TLJ when she was being held in place. The emperor's theme plays heavily during that scene as a foreshadow that he was a puppet of the emperor. Anyway, great reaction!!
The people who hate this movie are the ones who would go into the cave with their lightsabers even after Yoda told them they won't need them.
"Somehow palpatine returned"
@@neomiden5371 yep because he did return and Poe had no idea how
there was no foreshadowing for the emperor in TLJ, because palpatine was never supposed to return. you should read the original episode IX script "Duel of the Fates", it's the actual episode IX that's way better and never got made because everyone hated TLJ and disney panicked. rise of skywalker is easily the worst written movie i've ever watched and it makes me sad the original end of the saga will never be made.
@@vanlllasky Duel of the Fates has some good parts but it's not any better than Rise of Skywalker.
You did the series a great service, thank you for bring me back into the light. THANKS A LOT
Hey Lauren, Interesting Fact for you:
The scenes that featured Leia were deleted scenes from "The Last Jedi" that were included here considering that Carrie Fisher died shortly after Last Jedi had wrapped filming
The writer of episode 8 redeems himself with Knives Out. Well worth a watch.
If you believe 8 is bad you fell for memes
@@SwiftJustice The most divisive movie in star wars history. Dont know how anyone could get that idea? ...
awesome reaction again! cant wait to see what are you going to react to next!
Great Reactions GREAT MOVIE!
Too many Gen Snowflakes wanted it to be how they dreamed it would end. . ignore them and ENJOY!
3:23 - Uh, boy. I loved Darth Vader the moment he walked on screen back in 1977. I think the fact that he was a villain, and that I looked up to him, really scared those who raised me (not my biological parents). But.... yeah.... Dark Side, here. Not even ashamed to admit it. "My passions have been my undoing" on a few occasions. But also, my anger has also been my greatest strength. It's actually a matter of balancing between anger and morals that makes one a true "Jedi".
I don't fear the Dark Side as you do. - Anakin.
Congratulations on finishing all of the trilogies Lauren. It's been a blast watching your journey and all of your reactions! Can't wait to see what's next!
I'm happy to have finished the skywalker saga finally. That was long overdue to say the least lol. I'm really happy you enjoyed watching my journey, but it is not over yet! weeeee😄
@@LoveLaurenn I love watching your videos
I'm glad you liked this one. My four favorites are this, Revenge Of The Sith, The Empire Strikes Back, and Rogue One.
beautiful ending I think.... Kylo did what his grandfather could not, save his love.
FACT: “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” needs an alternate ending: The unification of Rey with Ben Solo in the good Force, to bring a constructive inspiration to the real World. The triumph of love is light, breaks misunderstandings, unites and is always the best destiny. There are life, faith and hope…
Greetings from Ponce, Puerto Rico.
This movie had me in my feelings too, mostly disappointment. Lol.
LMAO
Waah
Made me spit out my late night coffee.😂
😭
Because you have NO taste.
Chicken nuggets and chocolate milk?! What a combo! 😂
That look on your face when you found out Ray was a Palpatine is the same look EVERYONE had the first time Vader told Luke he was his father because back then NO ONE knew.
R2 does practically nothing for 3 films and then when he does do something it’s a bloody heart breaking set of beeps when Leia dies 😭😭😭😭😭
Glad you liked it! I don't disagree.
Fun Fact, Lauren:
The 2 Ewok characters you saw were Wicket and his son, who were both played by Warwick Davis and his real-life son
- Dad... --- I know. You know what they called back there....
You are awesome! So happy to relive this thru your experience
One of my favorite SW movies, some people will make you feel bad for loving it but it makes me happy.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE TOO!!! It's great that you didn't get poisoned by haters 💩 They are the worst thing about Star Wars. All 9 episodes together are beautiful. Rey's dying and being resurrected with the last drop of life from the Skywalkers, is so powerful. The Skywalker family totally destroyed Palpatine and his legacy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤❤❤
Chewy FINALLY got his medal that he should of gotten after he helped destroy the first Death Star.
You're right: Carrie Fischer (the actress playing Leia) died, but they had time to film all her scenes before she died.
Babu is generally loved, even if this movie is not. Personally, I love/hate it. I have thoroughly just loved your reactions though. I also have nothing but love for Dark Rey. Ben should have lived (but no one is ever really gone in Star Wars).
First the cabin in the woods 2012 🖤
Another reactor who enjoyed this emotion-filled movie. ❤️ Looking forward to more of your reviews!!!
There's a reason I do a Sith/Dark Side Leia Cosplay
The novelization explains his return. When Vader threw Palpatine down the shaft Palpatine sent his essence into a clone body his followers made but the body couldn't contain his power and that's why the body is decaying. Also, Palpatine's "son" is another clone that didn't have the Force.that
And that's exactly what's wrong with this movie. In a series of films you should be able to get the important points out of the context and events of the movies themselves. You should have to go through retconned TV serials and novels to understand the basics of the movie. It's why they are a failure.
This Is basically both Dark Empire and Jedi Prince but somehow worse
You haven't heard much about this movie because it was a really cheap and unearned ending. The BBEG was not set up at all; C3PO's "friends" were never established as such; we the audience were not given any reason to believe so much of the galaxy would respond to Poe's call.
People criticise the Last Jedi - but it was a much more thoughtful and considered film than this. This was a rush to try and wrap things up, without earning them.
There is a difference. I'm love with Laurenn
Thank you!
I loved that you loved this film, Laurenn.
Everyone has the right to their own opinions and I can appreciate and respect that.
LOLOLOLOL He said, "I Babu Frick" not "I Babu Freak." 🤣
Hearing Ray say { Rey Skywalker } has me crying every time
Like, because of how cringe it is?
@@freeman2399 Yeah I pretty much busted out laughing in the theatre when she said that.
I feel ya on the "where did this movie come from? oh, 2019?" thing. A week ago I didn't even know this movie existed. The only reason I can think of is the Covid-19 pandemic.
My favorite characters are Rey and Kylo/Ben I'm sad about this ending I wish Ben solo skywalker was alive And I wish there was a movie telling about her story but I think it's impossible so at least an animation of them to tell the story I read his comics and his story and it's pretty cool he is a character under construction and when something comes out telling about his story and about Rey , when Leia got pregnant Snoke/palpatine somehow they started to get into Ben's head solo I believe it's because of the force Léia she felt her son inside her belly and in strength and when he was born Luke and Leia and even Han they all decided that Ben he didn't need to know who his grandmother was really like they told That his grandmother was a big fear but they didn't tell him that his grandfather was Darth Vader they thought that it should be better then time passed Well he started having problems with anger then Leia gave up that she wanted Ben to train with Luke and Luke accepted I don't remember if Han accepted too or not for a long time now I read it so I only remember a few things there Ben went to train with Luke but Ben I don't like it very much because he didn't want to be a jedi but to be like his father walked in the millennium Falcon So he went to train with Luke only it was worse because Snoke kept getting inside Ben's head telling him things Snoke got inside Ben's head from when he was a kid or even when He was in his mother's belly the daemon he missed his father and mother because there are rules when you are going to be trained to be a jedi you have to let go of who you love And Ben loves his parents more sometimes Luke he didn't take Ben on missions he took other jedi who were also training and Ben felt left out besides he had anger inside him As time went by Ben found out that his grandfather and Darth Vader he was very angry because all this time his parents and his uncle all this time they lied to him aí depois acontece o que mostro no filme no filme star Wars 8 Ben's parents they weren't present parents and you can understand Léia is in the Republic and Han you know with and Han solo so the boy was alone all this time, when he was a child he had too many problems like Anakin Ben at first thought he was a mistake he was a monster and he thought his parents were afraid of him I believe Snoke must have been talking in his head that his parents don't care about him I probably can't say whether or not because the story This character is under construction I would like to have an animation of his story and very interesting and very cool I just summarize a little
since when movie star 7 came out i realize some things between Ben and Rey and just see the details when he goes to do with Pol he gets into his head and hurts him already when he talks to Rey but he doesn't hit her unlike Pol who is full of blood and another reason he starts talking to Rey and every moment he talks to her not one moment he lies to her he only tells the truth
They have a connection that and Dyad we books and in the comics about that connection and one new thing there's not a lot about her and a new thing that existed between Ben and Rey
35:12 Bro when he did that I thought this and Han's son solo I don't know if you remember Han more he does that in a scene
The moment Ben raises his arms like come on and just like Han solo
There are a lot of people who don't like this trilogy but I'm one of those who like this trilogy and of course certain things they were in certain parts of this movie 9 the only thing I didn't like was the Kylo's death when he stops being a kylo he becomes Ben then kills him and of course he did something his grandfather wasn't able to do which was to have his love as a savior and Ben did that But even so, I don't know, I wanted him alive to see how it would be like it would be very different he was on the sober side so he gave up I wanted to see what his life would be like and of course it would be difficult for him Why certain people and judging him why he kills people more serious interesting and see more about this new strength of Díad I wish Ben and Rey were together
The two of them have a lot in common with each other they look for somewhere where they belong they always felt alone and never received love from anyone then they found each other and ended Falling in love with each other I hope the people of Star Wars talk more about these characters in this new trilogy telling a story in a film, series or animation know the story of each one me I love all Star Wars movies and series there are none that I don't like my favorite characters from this new trilogy there are many more Rey and Ben Solo Skywalker both are in my heart in First place that's all I say,And it's really sad to think that we'll never see our Leia (Carrie) again but she'll be in everyone's hearts
U r so right...they did Luke dirty,unforgivable x
I hate this movie with a burning passion, but I'm glad you like it :)
It's been quite a journey watching someone experience Star Wars for the first time. Glad you enjoyed this film, can't say I'm a fan of it, the only thing I enjoyed was Williams score.
I know I'm a bit late on this one, but did you know the first line of the opening crawl, "The dead speak." refers to the emperor reintroducing himself into the Star Wars story with an announcement in the video game Fortnite weeks before the movie's release?
I went to see this opening weekend and a fat guy next to me was dead asleep. His snoring was a more enjoyable experience than watching the last two films of this Disney trilogy
I would have been that fat guy snoring if I wasn't so pissed at the movie.
I would choose Laurenn
I don't care what people don't like about these movies I just loved the cast!
The cast wasn't the problem. It was the writing. Especially TLJ.
3:20 what sidevwould you pick?
let us know 🙂
Thanks. Love your reaction ❤️
Next movie will tell about their remote snus snus baby. Luke Skypatin and Leia Palpawalker.
I’m glad to see others enjoying this one like I do. It had a lot of heavy lifting to do after the stumble of TLJ and it could have been even better with a little more time to work in the script but Disney forced the schedule.
I love this movie overall but I maintain it would have been even better if Ben lived 🥲
Hi Lauren, I just discovered your channel, love your content and reactions. I'm a huge Star Wars fanatic too. Also your tattoos are so cool, I'm heavily inked myself. Anyways just wanted to say hi.
Your obsetion with CHOCOLATE MILK gives me MIB 3 vibes.
wooteedee!!!
I think the whole idea of Palpatine's return was ripped off from the Star Wars Grand Admiral Thrawn books. They would have much so much better movies than what we have with 7-9. Still, I thought you had some really good reactions on this one...many of your thoughts are the same as I had when I first watched it.
You're gunna love the Kenobie show.. This was a fun ride with you.
Did you notie that as Fin, Rey and the others were falling into the ground was said something like ' Rey, i never told you! '
Well, for the rest of the movie, we never do find out what it was that he never told her!
Watching your other videos, I had times I immediately thought of Babu when I heard you. I got a laugh at your reaction to him and that he's speaking your language.
That Palpatine reveal just about ruined the way that movie turned out.
This is my favorite Star Wars movie and Rey is my favorite character of all time and I always love to see others enjoying it. Fantastic reaction as always. ❤️
i'm sorry for your loss
@@FamilyGuyRoks6 "Oh no! An opinion!"
The Rise of Skywalker is my favorite of the 9 main Star Wars films. It just touches deep on so many levels and is full of nonstop action.
In regards to dark side / light side, I prefer to have a mix of powers when playing the star wars rpg games, such as "Force Storm" frying all the enemies in one blast is quite fun. Jolie Bindo is an excellent example of a "Gray Jedi" who is more neutral, and Qui Gon had those tendencies too.
36:27 I saved all the universe. Again. You are welcome. 😀
Your voice is phenomenal
It's all about you.
Now that you have finished the movies, you must watch the Obi-Wan Kenobi show!!! 🤩😍😎
Love your videos. May the Force Be With You!!!
I know this but I love Laurenn
I fought really hard to be open and find anything I could praise in this so I could still chat with any fans of this film...but it's so bad.
I think that this one is a pretty enjoyable movie, after all it had to deal with a lot of bad decisions ep. 8 set up... so JJ did quite a good job. Your reaction was fun to watch👍
This movie's on TNT right now (in fact all the sequels were on today) and while watching them I started to see just how well they embody the campiness of those old Flash Gordon serials George patterned his movies on.
Yeah, they are cheap, senseless and bad, like Gordon's serials
Dark side… “Do it”
A LOT of long time Star Wars fans were disappointed by the Last Jedi. You're not alone on that one.
I often feel like an outsider for loving this trilogy. I grew up in the 80s so the OT were everything to me. But this last one hits all my Star Wars buttons.
I still think the Skywalker Saga is more about Palpatine than the Skywalkers. Haha
It's about both of them
I'm proud you commenters didn't spoil you on this film
Always a great reaction! Enjoyed the ride
I dnk if there's anyone else's movie reaction with better video editing than Love Laurenn. Always on point so I know she put alot of time into these. Others don't. Except maybe Just Trust Ash, cute couple w British accents. HOWEVER they are silly and not always funny. Good content for laughs, but those two are like way too chatty for doing reaction videos. They are like a sitcom; it's more about them than what movie they picked... they're real life reacting to thier own rom com movie. They're not annoying at all but they are the distraction from their own first time watch challenges. Why i want LL to react to Point Break, The Craft, Kids, or LOTR trilogy if they are 1st time watches. All great films that were released before her time and others on this channel. 👍
