Point of clarification real quick. I've never suppressed the SP9A3. The issues I had were centered around finicky ammo and bad magazines. I believe it was MrGunsnGear who had issues while running suppressed. Thanks man!
This firearm would have excited me more if it wasn't so problematic. For 1000.00$ bucks you shouldn't have to finagle or lube your mags. It should run with out so many problems.
Curved mags are out. Stop hating.
Tim - It was my understanding that the curved mags fixed most (all?) of these feed issues. Is that correct?

@@team_pasaway mine turned out well. 300+ rounds straight out of the box without additional cleaning or lubrication. Mix of 115 & 124 gr as brass and steel case. Flawless function an accurate. I know that feeling about a poorly functioning gun. I got myself a HMG CETME L that would not function well until I purchased surplus Spanish CETME L mags
Loved that gun already but in that FDE it looks even more gorgeous.
It's great when something is easily and directly repeatable. Makes you think it is a distinct problem rather than a crappy quality issue.
Distinct problems are addressable by the manufacturer. 👍
The same rule that applies to new phones, applies to new guns as well ...wait 6 months to a year for the kinks to get identified and worked out.
I never had a problem with mine unsuppressed. Only hiccups were when suppressed after about 3 mags. It got so gritty that the bolt would lock back and stay back (even when loaded) unless I really hit that charging handle forward. Not a mag catch thing, just gritty. Needed to be cleaned every mag to stay happy. Sent it off to GP because they were willing to recall them and I just got it back. Hoping to try er' out here soon. I will say though, Global Ordnance took care of this incredibly well. They sent me a return label, and had it back about 10 days after initially sending it out.
It's cool that you revisited this because the stribog is an incredibly confusing topic since half the reviews are glowing and half are exposing its unreliability.
They're very hit or miss in quality. Some get good ones, some get bad ones and some get really bad ones.
I’ve had mine for 6 months 1000 rounds not a problem. 115 124 150 grain zero malfunctions low recoil smooth bought it for my wife she loves it! Thank you for the video!

But I find the problems and the companies fix them.
I have the GEN two not the roller delayed bolt. And it runs fantastic. I only run the curve mags no issues.
Just got my SP9A3 new after the fixes were pushed out - ran it straight out of the box no cleaning & added on a red dot. Three metal lip mags and two 20 round first gen mags used.
50 rounds 115gr Federal for zero and to finish out the box. No issues, noticed ejection at 2 o'clock
250 rounds of mix 115gr Wolf and Tula. No issues, noticed ejection at 3-4 o'clock
45 rounds left over 124gr S&B. No issues, noticed similar 2 o'clock ejection pattern as 115 Federal.
Have not noticed issue with the cases getting stuck behind the bolt.
Shooting from a rest, excellent accuracy.
Overall very happy I waited for the upgrade.
Can't say how much better the flat trigger is vs the old one but my experience with the flat is that it's pretty good. Not as good as say my CMC or Elftmann single stages however.
You know things are getting really scarce when channels like this even are running low on 9mm....
@C-Bomb I have a few 9mm's but my usual edc is .45 acp and so far it's been fairly easy to get but I did notice that my local shop was down to a handful of boxes the last few visits I made. Been considering getting back into reloading but even reloading supplies are getting scarce and fetching a premium.

Buy a lingle industries lower. It uses the way better scorpion evo mags.
Love it never getting rid of mine.
Wanted to love this PCC. I ditched mine (A1 Gen 2) and traded it across for a new M70 ZPAP with chrome lined barrel. I am happier now. My KP9 fills the PCC itch and does it better than the BOG IMHO and it eats steel case ammo like a fat kid eats cake.
The only issue I had was with xtp 9mm (reloads) but every other 9mm feeds these so if I want to have a 9mm self defense at home or in my truck not this sold it It dd run great with ball ammo I had the gen 2 mags with metal feed lips

Early adopters of any platform should know. The game consoles or games cause frustration for gamers who adopt early. It’s a learning process. The engineering and technicians always consulting.
The only problem with that is that this gun has been on the market in Europe for close to 3 years.

I have the blowback version and love it. Feed it all kinds of different ammo even reloads. I'm so glad I didnt get a problem gun.
I lost hope in the company when the owner told people with cracked mags to put them in the oven.
Still have no idea why they tried to reinvent the wheel with these mags. Just design it to use Glock or AKV/scorpion mags and be done with it. My Scorpion has been 100% reliable over 2k rds.
Gotta sell proprietary mags accessories can contribute alot to the profitably of a product see apple
I have over a thousand through my A1 Gen 2 with no issues at all with the 7 magazines I have. The Scorpion did use proprietary magazines when it came out rather than a pre-existing design.

I'm 500+ rounds into my Stribog. It is very accurate. I've shot Federal FMJ ammo (brass and aluminum) with no issues whatsoever. Suggestion: typical "defensive carry ammo" (i.e. hollow point 9mm) is ubiquitous in the USA, but it is illegal in Europe, so in all likelihood the Stribog and mags were not designed to for it.
The original (non metal feed lip) mags feel week af. Having said that, none of them has failed (yet). The Stribog is one of the most accurate firearms I own. Having said that, did I say that the mags feel weak?
Would be a good deal if they fixed the feeding/extraction issues and replaced the flimsy safety with metal. I haven't found any aftermarket safety selectors unfortunately.

Honestly, when they announced the new design I was happy to have the original blowback. Not really a fan of the roller design in general.
I have the G2, no hiccups ..eats steel ammo un suppressed. Great fun
The unfortunate thing is that the FTF issues don't seem to have anything to do with the recall. The mags have sloppy, weak springs, and the geometry and followers don't seem to be conducive to reliable feeding. The rounds pretty quickly just turn into an unorganized mess and start feeding horribly. For most of us A3 owners this recall came as a bit of a surprise because excess receiver wear wasn't an issue we were aware of, especially in comparison to the garbage mags making reliable feeding nearly impossible. Very disappointed and regretting my purchase of an A3.
Do you know why this double feed doesn't happen with 20rnd plastic magazines? I have problems on my sr9a3 only with 30rnds magazine (curved or straight)... I am going crazy!
Just got mine back. I know if the serial number is not over 3000, the gun IS affected and needs to go back or be replaced.
GO sent me a new A3(with upgrades). My initial A3 had all the issues described in the video
Held off buying a Stribog because I wanted the A3. Finally cleared for import and the great ammo shortage of 2020 hit. Just shooting rimfire until 9x19 is reasonable again.
I would love to see this in .22lr. It would be a lot of fun.
I have not shot my A3 yet because of ammo of the ammo shortage of 2020 & 2021. Just now sending in the bolt and block for recall replacement. I have shot a few mags through my A1 Stribog on occasion during this ammo inflation madness, and a lot of 22 LR through my AR-22's to scratch the itch until prices return to normal levels.

The mags are going through yet another magazine evolution. I would hold off on buying the current gen of steel mags and wait for the new-new ones.

from everything i've seen and playing with mine, the ftf issues are almost completely a mag issue. the follower binds, i use colt mags to fix that. the eject issue seems like something different. i'm hoping with bolt machining recall and ammo i use i won't have that issue.

Anyone else have issue with TulAmmo recently? I purchased 80 rounds locally of 150gr 7.62x51 which were rusting or already rusted excessively. Upon closer inspection it appears that they were not lacquered, as they normally are, so every fingerprint was turning into a rust point. This is a new experience for me as I have had no issue with any steel cased ammo in the past. I was just wondering if it was a slip up in quality control due to the desire to get as many rounds out due to the Covid issues now, or if this is common issue?
i love guns but i never had the opportunity to shoot, here in my country guns are very restricted you need lots and lots of documents to get a gun and guns are very expensive here you can only buy up to .40 caliber and even then almost impossible to get and ammunition is extremely expensive

Europe has banned magazine with more capacity than ten rounds for longguns... this should decrease terrorism.. but the really decrease is in fun at the range with the STRIBOG.

yet terorrists still use 30 rounders, even here in Europe, the EU-wide high cap magazine ban is what i will call, not one of the solutions to the problem!!!
Here in the US we're not allowed to have "stocks" on these firearms. The arm-brace pistol workaround you see in this video is in jeopardy. The original intent of the law was to prevent people from sawing down rifles into more concealable firearms, because criminals usually favor concealability, but the effect is we can't take something treated as a pistol and make it less concealable by adding a stock.
@NATE GEIMER Can you please expound on "upgraded bolt and loader"does this mean they are already fixed or inspecded not to have any issues causing the problems ???.... also I just purchased my second Stribog(1/31/2021), 1st was a blow back , 2nd is a roller... both came with curved triggers.. is there any difference in the curved vs. the flat besides the aesthetics ? Thank you !

Every magazine fed weapon evermade starts with weak magazines and has to beef them up. You would think at least once the mfg would start with beefy magazines.

I think you said that all the ammo was 115 grain. Did you try 147 grain? I had a ton of misfeeds the last time I took out my SP9A1, and I'm pretty sure it was all with 115 grain. I'm looking forward to trying it out with 147.

My main problems were with flat nosed ammo. My Stribog would not run that ammo at all.
Weird. Mine runs hollow points without issue.
Do you think the issue is fixed . I really like the gun also but I’d get real frustrated with these malfunctions I put on the back burner was thinking more a car scorpion for that reason but I like this better

I hear someone may be... I've been pushing for it since the A1. Their straight mags are poorly designed or poorly made, or both.
I have a gen 2 with the A3 tactical brace like yours. is there a trick to getting the buttplate off? Mine never wants to budge without a lot of pressure to it.

My question is are the A3 bolts interchangeable in the A1, in order to upgrade the A1, and are the magazines interchangeable, I assume that the mags are at least interchangeable.

Teething issues? These guns are already out in Europe. Customers should not be troubleshooting retail ready products for a company.
The SP9A3 has been available in Europe for around 3 years. I find it interesting they brought them to the US with issues they had to know about. This, and they did so on the heals of the SP9A1 debacle where it had issues as well.

This really is the best way to do it, give it to Americans who will run it into the ground so the problems will get fixed. We are quite good at this….lol
