I did, to all the tanks. I've been concentrating so much time on the plant vids that I've neglected my tanks some. Something that my views might not realize is that I film almost everything I do. RUclips makes me be more attentive with my Hobbes. I spend more time on filming and editing then the care of the tanks and plants. But I'm not including the 5 hrs a week I spend on watering and topping off the tanks. On a side note, I would like to thank you for all the support and advice you have given to me and the channel. I not only enjoy your comments, but they also help the analytics.
I think it's great that you are experimenting with your tanks to see how nature works. I live in Arizona, so I have the opposite problem with temp. Currently my fishroom is running about 95° to 98° which the tanks range from the mid 80's to the low 90°. I find that fish are a lot more resilient than we think.
Yes, I think she is just getting older. I got her as a baby. She was white and pink when I got her. I wish I still had Big red. I got him as a fully grown fish, but he pasted after a year and a half. I would have put them together in the 75 gallon tank. I would have needed to really pack that tank with plants to block their line of sight, but I think a 75 gallon tank would be large enough for a pair of batas.
6400K T-5 fluorescent, I get them from Walmart. About $150 Thats the fixture and 4 4ft tubes. For the house plants, the ones hanging from the cycling in the nook.
Several reasons. Utililty costs are very high. I try to hide all the heaters, pumps, filters, lights etc., but there's more then you might think. And I have pushed the ele. capacity to the limit, I trip brakers when I vacuum. But the Hard wood lake tank is an experiment, no heater is a part of the specifications. If the life does not return, I will use a heater when I set up the next one. 😁🪴🌿
Hi mate, Great vid. I am amazed your tetras are thriving with such hard water in fact your Anubias are being affected by hardness those marks I believe them to be calcium/lime scale (my opinion from a distance). Look forward to future vids. Regards Duzzy🇦🇺
Yes, I agree. I started scrubbing it with a course sponge and it's coming off. Some of it came off in one piece and had a soft green leaf. Thanx Duzzau, I appreciate the Comment.
@@junglenook from my understanding and research this morning I believe the addition of co2 will reduce it and make it easier to remove. Regards Duzzy 🇦🇺
Im not sure, I don't know what most of the life is in that tanks I set up from the local ponds and lakes I collect from. But how cool is that little eco system he has on him.
Cloud of Life - wonderful! It will be again. Let let it continue.
Add some leaf litter to the shrimp tanks. It helps with the food web and some kinds of leaves the shrimp like to eat.

I remember seeing a chocolate gourami awhile back. Do you still have it? You liked it so much I wanted to get one. Ty
Sooy, but you're thinking of a different channel. I haven't had one of them. But thanx for watching.
I had a male betta fish with white coloring on the edges of his fins. Then as he grew older the white coloring disappeared completely.
