Michelle and Paul, I enjoy watching because I learn a lot about things about which I know so little. However, having spent over twenty years in retail much of which was selling clothing I can say confidently that Paul's t-shirt is not too long but too big in the shoulders. He needs to go down one or two sizes. If that makes the tail too short, go to a shirt that is sized for tall people. Thanks for hosting such a well-done, informative and entertaining channel. P.S.: Paul, you're probably thinking of the song "One" by Three Dog Night with lead vocal by Chuck Negron.

The joys of burnouts. I had a 57 chevy truck years ago and I fell on some hard times so she had to go. I took it out for one last cruise and when I got home I pulled up in my driveway, parked and just sat there with the door open listening to it idle knowing it wouldn't be there the next day. So what did I do.............. "MASSIVE BURNOUT." I hammered down and let her eat. My wife came running out of the house with a "WTF" are you doing face and I just sat there all smiles, engine screaming as the smoke cloud totally engulfed the truck. It was a bitter sweet moment but worth it. Years later I still have a crater and melted rubber in my driveway as a reminder. 😊 Bring on the burnouts!!!! keep up the great work guys. You all are amazing.

Paul, I am always amazed at your knowledge and skill - your tips about being careful welding evenly around axle housings, and even beefing up the welds at the pumpkin will be useful to those doing welding. On the other hand, I am equally amazed at some of your antics, such as "burnouts" - I could never understand how burning off probably several hundred miles of tread on a tire was cool, not to mention you're doing it in an enclosed environment - you know all that black soot all over the shop and on your hands? It's in your lungs, too. If you're going to do stupid things like "burnouts," do them outdoors or in a well ventilated area, and don't breath in the "smoke," which is actually rubber soot. You're making good progress on the Rat Rod, and, again, your knowledge of the shortcomings of the one ton brakes as opposed to the half ton brakes is remarkable.

Thanks so much for your videos, especially when you drive out into the surrounding area. My Grandfather was John Winder who owned the Clear Creek Ranch which borders the east rim of Zion Park, in fact he built the East Rim Trail which used to be called John's Back Door. As a child my Dad told us for hours about the beauty of the Park but most of all he loved the ranch and the Mount Carmel Glendale area. Dad moved to Central Nevada in the 30s and built our family here in Fallon Nevada. But I love the mountains around eastern Zion and watching your off roading around the area is a special treat.
It's wonderful the way you express your family values and the great blessing of teaching your children by being able to work learn and grow by working with a good man like Paul.

Serious question, how does one acquire a giant forklift? Man that makes stuff easier.

In the vicinity of civilization, look to places that are going out of business. You can also get them refurbished from the material handler companies like Clark, Shyster, Yale, etc. If you find a good sales person, they might be able to track down the best option for your needs from someplace else in the continental US.

Job nicely done! I appreciate the fact that you painted the axle and truss and actually used a dial indicator to set the backlash ;)

Your dad was a treat. I never caught the impression he was a big rock dude, he seemed a frugal man who liked to build. I cannot imagine a world where he would not have had belly laughs at this build. Nicely done

I'm glad you talked about unsprung weight. My friends think I'm wrong to keep the drums on my 14bolt, but that's a TON of extra weight at the ends to help articulation.

Perfessional opinion is always a good thing. My dad had lots of that when I was growing up, and he was most often right. And when he wasn't, I still respected him.

Ya know what's nice? Burnouts ya can watch over and over again! Yeah! I watched this Video till 12:56 in and had to go lay down and put my leg up. I fell kind of hard almost 2 week ago got bruised up and healing up is taking a bit. Gonna get X-rays done to see if I did worse than I thought, so watching Video's is about what I do at this time. So glad there ones worth watching guys! TY!!

Your Dad would be so proud of what you and Ben are doing to the old tow truck. Can't wait to see it all completed. Need to put something that will always remind you and Ben of your Dad on it. As always love the good work. And the shop looks amazing. O yea we going to see any more Cox derby trucks in the future.
