  • Winter lure fishing for bass is something I say I will do one day, but I just never get around to it. Probably because I feel it will never be great fishing, its cold, its windy, its over cast, water clarity is generally bad. winter lure fishing is something I'm going to attempt more and keep at it and work it out just like I have with summer and spring lure fishing.

    Love winter bass fishing from the shore here in Cornwall. Prefer moonlit nights . Surf seekers by night in moonlight are deadly I find. Tight lines

      Same here foxy. Never tried night time yet I just don't have the confidence in it but I definitely need to give it a go one day

    Lovely scenery. I like to lure fish all year round. Generally catch less between December and April though. They are still around in west Cornwall, just a little harder to find. It's also harder to get out of bed on a Sunday morning if the weather is manky. But as said, it's good for the soul to be out fishing.

      I think your right. And your spot on with the Sunday part 🤣🤣🤣
      Weather is bad again here in Wales the water looks like the Bristol channel

      @@C3BFA the weather is pretty bad here too. May take the kids for a run on the beach (check water clarity and sea state 😂) if it stops raining so hard. Got a new rod for Christmas to try out 😁

      @@C3BFA I got a high energy-z 10-30g 8ft. Gonna use it for chucking soft plastics into little gullies and over shallow reefs. I don't buy expensive rods and reels because I have all the poise and composure of bambi on ice when I'm out on the rocks 😂

    Hi. I'm in Penarth, and fish all along the local shores with plugs, metals, and soft-plastics with varying success. I think, despite all the promotion and hard selling on the soft-plastic front, I'll be doing more this year, with plugs because I enjoy fishing them, and metals, as they catch better than anything else, around here at least. I like your style too pal, I'll be following your progress in hope of inspiration. Take care. Raymondo.

      Thank you Raymond. If you skip back through videos I do have shore lure fishing and boat. If it's any interest to you.
      I love plugs / hard plastic lures especially the surface lures you can't beat the excitement of the surface take.

      Metals are for sure number one in sea fishing. Plugs a close second. But having said that some marks I fish are almost impossible to fish unless you fish weedless or topwaters.

    • @C3BFA
      @C3BFA  8 месяцев назад +1

      You need top. Water or weedless where u live you will loose a lot of hear other wise. I still. Loose top water lures lol

      @@C3BFA Fish the beach a fair bit, can catch all sorts depending on tide and conditions, nothing yesterday though, bit too bright I think, last week when it was a bit overcast and rough had a few Huss, Doggies and a small eel in a couple of hours coming up to high tide in the afternoon. Its only 10-15 minutes away, fished LLanrystud a few times, as well as Aberystwyth.

    • @C3BFA
      @C3BFA  11 месяцев назад

      Aberaeron can be good. If you fish when it's choppy you will get small eyed rays Aswel try it over low 2 hours either side once tide comes up it's dogs and Huss flat out and straps too

    • @DelDredd
      @DelDredd 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@C3BFA Will try over low next time I go, did get a Turbot as it was coming in from low a while a go, dead calm conditions and sunny then. Also had Black Bream from big Rock down to the left, that was years ago though, you could fish from the rock all the way up to High tide then go up over the top of rock onto the grass and back to carpark. There is a big gap between the Rock and the main cliff now though as it had fell in a while ago I think.

    • @C3BFA
      @C3BFA  11 месяцев назад

      Most beaches on this coast fish better 2 hours down and 2 up with the last hour of ebb being best most the time. That's for rays and stuff. And you want a surf running too. But nothing is guaranteed it's Fishing.
      That's interesting regards to the bream. How was you fishing for them ? Over high ? What baits ? And rigs
