Why do the cars look like they're floating in these next gen rally games? Maybe my display isn't up to par...
Probably because the chase camera is very static and doesn't move around much.
1. because rally cars are incredibly smooth and..
2. the chase cam.
The cars shadows underneath are very poor. I noticed that immediately, especially in the darker areas.

@@pedrocanas470 these cross-gen games are based on last gen game engines. We won't see much improvement until studios update or rebuild for next-gen.
@@pedrocanas470 i think it's the developer's fault, you can compare with gt7 gameplay trailer, and they have a lot of trees there too.

To me, the car looks like it is floating above the ground slightly.

its cause of a lack of dirt effects and whatever. If you turn settings all the way down on a pc racing game it's the same effect. at least i think lol idk im not a game dev

Shadows underneath the car are basically non-existent. It created the same feeling me too

I think it's because the camera doesn't vibrate or shake acording to the car's movement.. it so static it makes you feel as if the car was levitating or riding over butter.. awful..

It does look similar to the ps4 version. Ps4 version is 30fps this is 60fps so that is your next gen upgrade.

Real rally have dirtyness,stiffness,fractions of dirt,mud all over the places. All i see in this video is totally the opposite.

It is not a 2020 next-gen title. This game has been on other platforms like PC, PS4 and XB1. Soon on Switch. Not every single PS5/Xbox Series games are going to be next-gen games.
I want to start to see particle physics being used to depict the smoke/debris kicked up from the rear wheels in racing games, especially offroad games. That was a feature shown off at least on PC about 5 years ago by now, I feel like there's no excuse at this point to not be seeing it more widely used in 9th gen games moving forward.

i know right, looking at dirt halo and this, i can't see any trails left behind , since gta5 has them and how old is that game, the fact that the trail goes red after running someone over is epic attention to detail.

This trailer felt super odd from the start but to end it with "Coming on PS5" is something in and of itself.
At least next to dirt 5, it does blow it out the water when it's comes to next gen visuals..

Yeah, no, they're both weak looking. Gran Turismo and Forza will no doubt look much better then we'll probably have to wait a year or so for some third party racing games to take advantage of next gen console power.

I just picked it up on sale for 26 bucks and it's insane! A very nice looking and playing game, especially with the enhancements. Loads of fun!

i can´t believe the awesone and spectacular this graphics.
Ok the lighting looks nice but might want to sort out your brightness and contrast before posting vids 🤦♂️ Thought it was my TV, checked a couple other devises and yep it's just wrong.

The ps4 pro has a optical audio port that I used to connect to a receiver. How can I connect the ps5 to a receiver for a home theater 3D audio since there is no optical port and no hdmi audio out port?

Let's be honest, the concept will always be the same, but the industry will add more details and make things sharper, while the monitors are growing.
Games become bigger, with more tasks and some titles already showed people how that ended up. If you don't know, people were fed up and stressed out.
Are we watching the same trailer? This looks miles and miles ahead more realistic than whatever dirt 5 is 😂.

"More realistic" is just an excuse and says "We came a bit closer.", but it does not look realistic, which should give everyone the impression it's real, hence REAListic. "More realistic" is like vegan meat. Might look real on some shots, but when tried, it does not come close to the real thing.

These games generally take way less time to develop and are usually ready well ahead of system launch. Usually the biggest thing that has to be done is upgrades to their Engines.
