The M240i has a rear underbody brace that helps settle the chassis flex! You can buy an aftermarket or OEM to make the M140i feel like the M240i! I have a M240i, the suspension isnt sloppy but its not perfect either. Make the chassis upgrades and its a road weapon. It'll never be an M car but it'll still deliver! Bush inserts, front strut, k-brace and diff inserts and you'll be smiling! LSD is very pricey and something i haven't done yet, when I do I'll make an informative comment. Until then enjoy your drives. 😉
If you took that stupid sub out the boot, and all the stuck on crap (starlights ffsk ?) it would be a bit lighter and faster ! My 2017 M140i has been running 455bhp/634nm quite happily for 4 years, it's a great car. Fast enough, very practical (I moved my daughter, and got all her furniture in by folding the seats down), smooth & comfortable as a daily driver to work and back, etc. I had coupes in the past, and because they are 2 door, the doors are much longer, it's a pain in the ass trying to get out when parked in the average supermarket car park spot, so the 5 door M140i is more practical. If the car has been to a decent mapper, it should NOT have any throttle lag at all, it sounds like it has a shitty map on it. I'm thinking, when you say throttle map, what you actually mean is gearbox lag. The ZF8 can be a little bit slow with standard software, but once you map XHP3 onto it, wow, it's a completely different beast. It changes so quickly, it's no different to a DCT, and it raises the hydraulic pressure so the plates can cope with any extra power from tuned engines. Stock air intake is not a bad thing, you saying it might be heat soaked is not really an issue, as the stock air intake is actually very good at keeping temps down. The best mod is the hot climate mod which is cheap and opens up the closed front vent in the splitter, for extra cooling. The Coupe has the underbody brace which the hatch doesn't have, but it can be fitted (it costs about £150), and this helps stiffen the rear end.
@@thepetroholics Thanks for the reply, great video, I hope I didn't come across as critical. It's a great car for the money, and the coupe is still a good car too. If they made them with a better chassis, they would have been much too close to a real M car, and nobody would bought them. I can see them dropping into chav territory in a few years (like subaru impreza's did), but good examples will eventually rise and become very desirable, as nothing like this will ever be made again.
@@emmanuelakintayo1601 the fact it's a coupe in general for starters mate. Standing front on they are the same side on the 240i is a far far better looking car the 140i is a horrible looking car side on. Just my opinion tho everyone is entitled to there opinion bro.
I believe he’s now sold his car, hence why he took down his car page. Welcome to give his private account a go: instagram.com/bavsssssss?igsh=MWI3b2FreXo5M28yMw==

Nah we always appreciate detailed sharing of everyone’s experiences and opinions. That’s the whole point of the comments section!
I prefer the m240 but from a selling perspective m140 is much easier to sell
Interesting point.
I’d argue the s3 looks better in sport back than 3 door
Haven’t heard this one before, I like a controversial opinion 👏🏽
m2 lite over m1 lite any day!
I agree!
blue guy sounds like hes from bradford and australlia haha good lad
This is hilarious 😂😂
Problem with the M240i is the M2.
M2 just looks insanely good!
Amazing cars 🔥
Golfer I can imagine in the bigger bimmers. M6, M8, X5’s you know
Agreed!
M240i looks a lot nicer not a fan of hatchbacks
This should not even be a question. The 240i just a better looking shape altogether.
I don’t understand how people say this for me if your talking M2 100% but the 240 does have the same front end is less aggressive and looks kind wonky

The 140i is far better looking!
